Thank You NotesFollow

Just wanted to leave a few thank you notes from tonight.

Phodraubiont got to level 30 (my cute handsome elvaan), and he wants to be a summoner. Esriel also wanted to be a summoner.

So we all hopped over to the Maze, with Avalanchor (lvl 62 WHM) to kill leeches. While we were there, Pokemon (49 THF) came along so that we could use his THFII.

Thank you to those two for coming along and helping.

After they both got rubies and chest keys we were off to get the elements. No big deal; just teleport around for awhile. They got the teleport-Yhoat crystal while we were at it.
So it came down to what it always does; Ice.

We were going to have a guide through Ranguemont Pass, but he ended up not coming when we were all around Sandoria.

But, no sweat, this is FFXI.

I glanced around Sandoria quickly to see if anyone there would be able to help us. Lo and behold, we found another THF, lvl 70, named Sigld. We didn't know him in any way, but he offered to guide us through the Pass.

So he took us through, and then he also took us through Beaucedine Glacier to Xarcabard, where Pho and Esriel got their teleport-Vazhl crystals (getting a lot done tonight, ne?)

A big thanks to Sigld, who took some time to help out a silly group of lost mid-levels that he didn't know at all. I love playing in a game where you can find people like this, and he didn't ask for anything in return (well, except teleport-Altep, but it's not like that was any trouble. We still were looking for fire anyway!)

Even moreso, I think it says something for FFXI when people already know that there are others out there who will lend them a hand. I think it says a lot about the people who play this game. When I did the Dragoon quest it was also a complete stranger who helped me (unfortunately, I can't recall his name anymore because it's been a long time).

Thank you to all the high levels who spare their time to help other people get through the game.
