A buddy and I were recalling how much fun we had with FFXI, and we somehow got our old accounts back... We left around 2007, so it's been a long time. We we primarily going to just duo and relive the fun times, but I'd kind of like a LS to get into just to see what players are up to these days. I left Shiva with a 75 MNK, and was surprised as heck to see a lvl 99 cap. It'll take a while for me to readjust, but I guess learning everything over again is always fun.
If I recall correctly, my LS back in the day was FableUnity, but I doubt anyone from there plays here anymore. Anyway, let me know if I (or we) can join up!

Hey man, I remember you from FU. I pretty much only play on weekends, but you can join the shell I'm in, Starlight Brigade. The shell holder is Cloudie and he's on almost all the time. You can also ask Protheus who is on pretty frequently.
We don't really have a website or anything, and there's no official event schedule or anything. The group is very laid back and pretty much just teams up and helps each other out on random stuff, particularly with abyssea.

Oh wow, hey there. Yeah, I'll check in with them and see what I can do. It's amazing how low prices are on everything now; I had a paultry amount of gil left and was somehow able to put together some decent gear... Anyhow, would it be okay if my friend joined, too? I think he's planning on starting a new character for that nostalgia kick, but I think he still has his 75 DRK. Dunno if you remember him (his name in game is Ezekile).
Yeah I remember Eze, too. I'm sure you'd both be more than welcome.

did eze run with staticknights for a long while? name is familiar, i know there were a few variations of that name at the time.
Yeah, there was at least "Eze" and "Zeke." FU had them both at one time, what fun that was! (trying to remember who was who :) )
