Anyone friendly out there... anyone?Follow

Well, there are plenty of friendly and reliable people around, you just need to know where to look. I mean, just the other day i teamed up with a complete stranger since we were both after the same NM. We agreed that i would lot the item, and would pay him half of the AH price. Takes a lot of faith on both sides. We got the drop, he passed, i lotted and traded him the gil. He could have easily outlotted me, and i could have simply warped after getting what i was after, but we both didnt.

Problem is, there's an equal if not greater chance of running into someone unfriendly now as well. Just look at how unfair some of the shouts are these days. Party leaders shouting to always obtain one item, while the people joining have to do the procs and have to compete for the only other item.

Anyhow, the moral of the story is, ask someone and take a risk. If you're lucky, you get your stuff done. If you get screwed, just blist and move on. The game has reached the point where no one has to be nice anymore to get what he/she wants. So the people you meet that do want to help are genuine.
