Hot Off The Final Fantasy XI Forums!

 The official FFXI forums are only a couple days old, but they're already leaving a significant mark in the player community about some of the upcoming plans for the game. Radical new changes to Dynamis are in the works, as well as tweaks to item storage, the delivery system, and adjustments to Empyrean armor augmentation items. For further details, read below!

From the Final Fantasy XI forums:

Dynamis Reborn!

Various aspects of Dynamis will be overhauled in the next major version update and beyond.

•Applicable Areas:
Dynamis - San d'Oria / Dynamis - Bastok / Dynamis - Windurst /
Dynamis - Jeuno / Dynamis - Beaucedine / Dynamis - Xarcabard
•Adjustments:
•Reservations will no longer be required to enter the above areas.
•New key items will replace the "Timeless Hourglass" and "Perpetual Hourglass" items needed for entry.
•The key items need only be obtained once.
•It will be made available at an affordable price via the Goblin NPCs presently dealing in hourglasses.

•Time restriction for entry will be changed to once per Earth day.
•Trigger items will be introduced as a new spawn condition for certain notorious monsters (NMs).
•Monster distribution will receive drastic revisions.
•Monsters will yield experience points (excluding certain NMs).

Stack Size Adjustments

The upcoming version update will see the stack size adjusted for certain items.

Delivery System Adjustments

The upcoming version update will see the following changes made to the item delivery system:
•Adjustments
•It will be possible to send EX items to characters belonging to the same PlayOnline account.
•The list of deliverable EX items will be expanded gradually in order to maintain game balance and ensure that proper testing is conducted.

Allow Clusters to stack to 12.

That would be a nice.
I think another nice change would have empreyan stuff stackable (like the enemy mob items)
That's the only reason why I haven't truly started on them since that's ALOT of space just to have 50-75 pieces for a weapon. I'm still gradually collecting the items though :P

Once you start the trail you can put the pieces in the crate one at a time and the moogles will remember what you've put in before.

No, only when you start the TRIAL. (Must be some kind of mass-dyslexia bug going around, because I see a LOT of people writing it wrong...)

Also, you can only do 5 trials at a time, and with stuff like WoE weapons, multiple armor weapons and magian weapons for multiple jobs, you run out of slots very quick.

As for stacking, I don't think they will increase crystal stacks (it would cripple crafting for 3 days), but clusters, logs, ores, etc are very possible. They did the same thing in FFXIV recently. Logs and ores stacking to 99 is a godsend :D
