Earlier in the month, Square Enix announced the return of their annual Final Fantasy XI Fan Art contest as well as the return of their Fan Video Contest. The finalists for these two contests, centered around the theme of the 10th Anniversary of Final Fantasy XI, will see their entries showcased at the upcoming Vanafest! Today, details about the submission procedures for entries were announced, including deadlines, entry formats, and prizes.

The Mog Masque and Mog Suit, special in-game equipment that lets you dress up as your favorite floating moogles, will be among the prizes available for the top 15 entrants of the Fan Art Contest and the top 10 entrants of the Fan Video Contest!

The deadlines for the Fan Art and Fan Video contests are June 5th and June 11th, respectively, so be sure to get your entries in as soon as possible and show off your artistic prowess to everyone!

As adventurers around the world know, FINAL FANTASY XI will celebrate its 10th Anniversary of official service in Japan on May 16th, 2012!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, this year the annual Fan Art contest will be slightly modified to enhance the festivities! First the development and operations teams will be judging the initial round of contest entries. The entries that are selected to move on to the final round will be exhibited at VanaFest 2012 (June 23rd & 24th in Japan) where the grand prize winners will ultimately be chosen by the attendees of the event! We'll also be hosting a Fan Video contest this year to further celebrate the 10th anniversary!

The theme of each of the contests is "10th Anniversary". Adventurers are encouraged to base their entry on themes such as "A scene from the 10th Anniversary celebration", "Looking back on the journey so far", "Remembering fond memories in Vana'diel" or something else close to their heart!

Winners will have their entry displayed on the Topics page, and will receive the Mog Suit, Mog Masque, and Town Moogle Shield in-game items! In addition, the Crystal Prize recipient will also be given a Moogle Rod.
