Details on Current Known Issues: Continued

This is an alert email I just got from Square-Enix. The following FINAL FANTASY XI technical issues have been confirmed and we are currently carrying out an investigation in order to resolve the problems. Players will be informed as soon as the details of a new update have been decided. - An issue where all the monsters that players need to defeat in order to complete certain garrison quests do not appear. - An issue regarding misjudgement of the current transmission state that may result in unexpected disconnections. - An issue involving the Gamepad Configuration Tool's "Directional Control Devices" settings, whereby allocating the same buttons to do multiple operations can, in certain cases, render the menus unusable during gameplay. (Windows version only.) We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This dc problem is very annoying, so is the problem where you zone to a new area and it takes forever for your inventory list to load. I am not sure why they havent fixed the problem yet, but I hope they do soon, because since the patch I have dc'd a number of times, but before that never dc'd.

Same here with the dc problem of late. It almost seems timed, maybe 3 hrs apart.Moogle delay is also present. The arrival of all npc's are very delayed as you walk through any town or area. This spooked me for a while.Game is definitely much slower than say 2 weeks ago. Also alot more lag during battle. Also alot more AH jams(try again later-still searching...ect.).Also noticed I could be looking at a character, search that character../sea..and it will tell me its not available.

Slow Moogle? Random Moogle?

Has anyone else noticed that Moogle seems to take longer to appear when you enter your Mog House? Perhaps it's a perception of time, but I swear it used to be much faster than it has been in recent weeks.

My friends and I have also noticed, at different times, the odd appearance of a Moogle in Upper Jeuno, right next to the Cathedral. This Moogle seems to have limited options, like that of a Nomad Moogle. I zoned out, and zoned back in, but then he was gone.

Sure, so tell me WHY, when it's American play time, there are "players" who put a big lot of items in auction, for half the price it was before... and WHY, when JP play time come, these items comes back to a normal price ... -_- ...

Could this possibly be regarding the Linksys bug?

What Linksys bug?

They initially blamed this connection error on "router problems" on the part of the end users, but this was clearly not the case, as it affected even PS2 users on direct dialup. I encountered the bug many times myself in various configurations.

Thanks to everyone that sent in technical support calls, called GM's and posted on the forums complaining about this.

no monsters at garrison quests, does this mean you have completed it instantly?
Unfortunately, no

Since the mobs never appear, the garrison never even starts. Yes, the NPCs that need to be protected do appear, but in order to win a garrison they must survive until the last round of mobs. Since none appear, its like the garrison hasn't even started. The NPCs dissapear after an hour, leaving the alliance with one less Ex/Rare item.

What happened to the Garrison I participated in was the last round never came. We had already started it, but we never got to finish it. And none of the NPCs had died yet, too ><

Hmm.

I didn't have problems before, but I just got a router a few days ago, and now I'm being disconnected every 20 mins on the dot.

Is this similiar to other people's experiences? I mean, the regular pattern of disconnecting, instead of just randomly.

I played for 3 hours straight today by plugging my PS2 into my DSL moden, andskpping my router. Maybe it is a router problem?

No, it's not a router problem, although it sounds like you might have one on your own. This has been widespread and affects people even without a router. I've had it hit me in less than 30 minutes from logging in, and I've gone for 6 hours without hitting it. It's random, from the player's perspective.
