Special Rule for Ballista

Ballista will now feature a special rule as detailed below. *This rule will apply until Sept. 12 8:00 (PDT). Please take a moment to enjoy playing Ballista with a twist! Don't miss out! Special Rule ------------- Previously, Ballista has used a single victory per series system. Now, each series will use a "best two of three" system. One match will take seven Vana'diel hours (19 minutes Earth time), and there will be a 1.5 Vana'diel hour (four minutes Earth time) intermission between matches. See the following table for a complete match schedule. 1st match 7 hours Intermission 1.5 hours 2nd match 7 hours Intermission 1.5 hours 3rd match 7 hours In the event that each team wins one of the first two matches, whichever team wins the third match shall be the winner of that series. However, if the same team wins the first and second matches, the following condition shall also apply: A team that wins the third match and has the top-scoring player shall be awarded two match points. This means that it is possible to force a draw even if your team loses the first two matches. You can confirm this rule by talking to a Pursuivant. Be sure to confirm the entry period as well as allegiance and level restrictions before entering.

Well yes, but I am assuming they are testing this idea to see if it works better. In my experience, ballista has almost always been won by a longshot. With the 1.5 hour intermission, the teams will have a bit of time to organize a bit better. If this helps even out ballista a bit more, you can bet SE will keep the rule, or add it back in permanently.

fun, but they still need to make mages spawn with full MP after being 'rereais'ed!

its kind of a disadvantage and unfair as we have to sit for a long time to even get back into the action!

Or you could go back to camp with full health/mana and /sprint back to zone. Mage team is already powerful enough :)

I am not sure but I believe that after attaining Rank 3 you can do another quest type thing to get a Ballista Licsense, then you can do Ballista matches. But my gay Linkshell won't help me kill the dragon and I refuse to pay a buncha people 3k a piece to help me.

Locations go Jugner, Pashnow, Meriphataud, with a match starting every 2 Vanadiel days (about 2 hours). Level restrictions start at 30 then go to 40, 50, 60, and unlimited. Level restrictions change every 3 matches.

I would assume the 3 common zones: Jugner Forest, Meriphataud Mountains, and Pashhow Marshlands.
