Well about 2 weeks ago, my friends account would not let him log in. He calls SE and finds out his account has been changed~ billing info and all. The account was stolen and his char was running around Jeuno acting like the real him. SE would do nothing at all~ even with my friends proof which consisted of registration codes, credit card bills and even a RECOREDED (pic- wise) confession from the guy saying he stole it. (It has since been deleted by another char on our server or so he says ??)
Well, my bf had just recently quit the game, so I gave his account to my friend so he wouldnt have to start over. I had a lot of people talking trash to me when i posted a thread with the entire story, but I am guessing that something is going on with SE~ they wouldnt send out a message for this happening to just 1 person, so they must have been having a lot of trouble lately.

Oh, and I'm very sorry to hear about your items and etc.Its awful when a simple online game meant for enjoyment turns in to something like what u are going through.

Here's the true story behind this message...
How do i know the true story you might be wondering. Well, b/c it was about me. This is what happened... I was standing in jeuno tring to sell a peacock charm trying to avoid tax. Someone sent me a tell saying they knew someone that would buy it. He said he could pay an unheard of amount of gil (20mil). That should have been my sign that this wasn't right but, how can you pass up something like that. He told me to chat with someone at www.playonlineus.info (site is down now) and click on friends list plus to chat with him. I have never used it at www.playonline.com nor did I know that you could chat with your friends without using playonline Viewer. I then click on it and what happened next was horrible. Not only did he steal my gear, gil, and drop my af's. He deleted my accounts.
What he might not have thought of is that he committed identity theft b/c you then have access to billing info.

After that I told SE what happened. The next day I get called back and was informed that He is being charged at a federal lvl. Be sure to ck the websites out and compair.

USBank has reminded its customers not to proceed to a link disguised as an email from them which leads to http://usbank.frgnahs.ng.

The email asks you to enter your Account Number, Social Security Number, Credit Car Number and PIN.

Again, please don't do this.

Someone figured out the SE email system, or the IM client, and is using fake credentials to dupe ppl out of info...


That, or someone's running around the dunes /shout-ing "MY NAME IS ___ and MY ID IS ___. I AM NOT A N00b, JUZOR SUX!!"
