I've been getting this error for a week now. All my other games work online on my xbox 360.
I have tried to contact playonline but they're suuport section on the website isnt working either.
Any help is appreciated

thats intresting, Vasana the Silent Scholar. Because in my case I still get error 4002 & 0512 which are 'Timed Out' errors. it seems i can log in for 5 minutes, talk to my LS if thier getting any problems, (which they are)then I get kicked offline from POL. There is no problem with my ISP, I can still access the web. i just dont know what to do anymore >,<

I have noticed the same problem. I always leave myself on bazaar mode when I'm at work. I leave her in Rolanberry Fields, but now I keep getting disconnected every 30 mins or so and POL says that I have been idle too long. Wtf.

Funny thing is, I checked my settings and I am set to never auto-disconnected. I think they changed something. Which sucks.

I was on for about 2 Hours Earlier, and the only thing that booted me was my Crap Tastic Virus Protection. Everything is working fine.

I don't know why, it's not like they do it on purpose or anything (I think), but this always seems to happen on my nights off. I work nights (when almost everything else is closed) so this is my major form of entertainment. I didn't build a GAMING system to go to chat rooms. /sigh.

Just got into POL, however it says "Cannot play during maintenece" there was no download for POL btw.

um you guys do realize that the maintinence doesn't end until 2:00 PDT, which is still 20 mins away. That might (I mean, maybe, but who am I to say) be the reason why you can't get in. Let's think about it. If the update isn't done, you can't get in, any correlation? Learn to read.

will , for me i really think i should slow down from 24/7 playing FFXI and let me tell you why...


first of all : general failer in the connection for my ISP for 2 weeks prevent me from loging there and lvling my thf 68 T.T , so all i can do is , log getting R0-200 max , really slow playing , search failed ,boom DCing , farming beehive chips and lvling my DRK and PLD to 10 =P

when i gat the massage about maintenance i was like omgwtf , we just gat the update ( since i only live in the game and real life is not there anymore ---> shift delete <t> you can have this )
but for me i said ... mmmm oh will np its from 8 - 2 so 6 hours XD , i waited until 2 then nother happened , then i noticed its not AM or PM its 24 hours system XD

btw 0800 = 19:00 my time , and 02:00 = 1300
i cant say more that i really counted every sec , couldnt sleep more then 2 hours so far

i'm really need to do something about that 3 weeks for the university and i dont wanna fail XD

btw , if there new server can use the old hard drive then its really easy thing , just plug and play =P no need to transfer any data / the operating system
but if not it will take time , and if i were tn there postion , i'll start transfaring data while sitting the new server ( if there is 2 rooms )

will i need to stop and wait for the update to download it ( if there is any )
i dont wanna wait for 13 hours again ( using ADSL with 4 Mbps link

theres a download i thought they were just upgrading their servers and thats it =/

Well it seems that everyone has the same problem : u enter your password, u cant connect and the Retry button has disappeared lol
just wait.... nothing else to do....

If you goto look at the Vana'diel LIVE! it shows them personally in game testing areas and when they log out you see their office and out the window into tokyo.

this has probably been covered or is really obvious but are we gonna need to download an update?

and if so is it possable to download it early?
