This page is a place for us to coalesce our various theories and Lore regarding the ongoing storylines that are leading to Ages End.

Ages End is the prophesied end of Norrath (and EQ2?) that has been hinted at in in-game lore literally since the day EverQuest II launched. Whether that ending is just another beginning or not, noone can say, but Vhalen definitely had a plan, from the beginning, for how the story would end and every patch, every expansion has brought us a little closer to it.

The Chelsith Stone, so central to the story in Echoes of Faydwer and Rise of Kunark, was a kind of prophetic calendar with symbols that, if they could be interpreted correctly, would give the date and manner of the end of the world. Certainly many of the major events in the history of Norrath are echoed in those symbols that have been identified.

Seeress Ealaynya Ithis, in her books of prophecy, has also recorded many cryptic warnings about the approach of Ages End, including one line that seems to say that the discovery of the method to remove the powers from our mythical weapons and transfer that power to ourselves is the beginning of Ages End.

"If the magics of mythical prestige are ripped from their shells the end of times will be ushered in."[1]
