Blue Mage works unlike any other job in terms of how Job Traits are assigned. Instead of obtaining set Job Traits through the process of leveling up, a Blue Mage must equip certain combinations of spells in order to gain access to many different possible Job Traits. This makes Blue Mage an infinitely customizable job depending on play style and party role.
The Accuracy Bonus trait can be obtained by combining any two of the following spells:
Equipping any two of the following spells will grant you the Attack Bonus trait:
Unlike the previous Job Traits where any combination of two listed spells will trigger the trait, Auto Refresh has it's own set of rules. Each spell that can count toward obtaining the Auto Refresh trait has an assigned Auto Refresh Point value. In order to trigger Auto Refresh you must choose a combination of spells whose Auto Refresh Points total eight.
Clear Mind is another unique Job Trait for the Blue Mage in that it's the only trait that one can obtain higher ranks than one. You will gain one rank of Clear Mind for each two of the following spells you equip up until rank IV.

To obtain the Maximum MP Up job trait, you must equip two of the following spells:
Rapid Shot, which works with the Blue Mage's throwing weapon, can be obtained by equipping any two of the following spells:
Equipping any two of the following spells will trigger the Resist Sleep job trait:
Combining these two spells will result in the Store TP job trait.
A Blue Mage can obtain various "Killer" Job Traits by equipping two spells assigned to that trait.
