Greatloam Growery

"The Greatloam Growery was established when the landed Greatloam family made a generous endowment of their plots to the nation of Gridania in the name of Nophica, the Matron. The land is nearly all tilled and cultivated, and now sprouts forth a myriad of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and sturdy forest trees. The Botanists' Guild at the Greatloam Growery sees to the maintenance and upkeep of these lands, and even now continues to dole out small sections to the most promising tenders of their order."

Located in Gridania, the Botanists' Guild can be found in the Greatloam Growery, in the western part of the city.

About The Guild

"A botanist's primary tools are all you need to practice our craft. Grasp them in your hand, and allow them to be the bond between you and the land. You must find wood to fell wood. We have methods of searching for mature trees. At present, Botanist Guild doctrine recognizes ten grades of these specimens, represented by a simple numerical scale. The techniques we use for finding them vary depending on which you are looking for. Making use of a secondary tool will allow you to harvest lush vegetation. There is no end to the specimens Eorzea has to offer!" - Kipopo

Guild Tasks

"So good of you to come, friend, to this our Greatloam Growery. Here we botanists endeavor to learn all there is to know of the plant kingdom─edible, useful, beautiful, and otherwise! Would you care to aid us in our efforts? You will be compensated, have no fear." ~ Opyltyl

Guild Tasks are simple quests in which the guild requests the adventurer to bring various items to the guild in exchange for a reward. Currently only Level 1 and Level 10 Guild Tasks are available. The requested item changes daily, and the reward varies. (Gil, Shards, etc.) You can find out which Tasks are available by either talking to Opyltyl or by examining Task Boards around Gridania.

Guild Quests

As you level your Botany, you will be able to undertake various quests that will require your talents as a Botanist. These quests follow a storyline that revolves around the Botanists' Guild and your role as a Botanist in Eorzea. Although an awful lot of work may be involved in completing these quests, the rewards are well worth the effort. Below is a brief summary of the available quests, with links to lead you to their respective pages, where you can find more specific information, if you require assistance in completing your assigned task.
