Camping (WoW)  

Camping is the act of sitting in one location for a particular purpose. Examples include:

  • Camping a ground spawn, waiting for it to return. This happens frequently when a large volume of players are all trying to acquire the same items.
  • Camping an area filled with enemies, either for loot, reputation, or quest credit.
  • Camping an enemy player's corpse, waiting for them to respawn so they can be killed again. "Corpse camping" is very common on PvP servers.
  • Camping an area of a dungeon is a common technique in other games. World of Warcraft uses instanced dungeons to discourage this activity.
