Items found in Rolanberry Fields

For centuries, this area has been used to cultivate fields of the sweet fruit known as the rolanberry. Considered a delicacy by Humes and the Elvaan, the farmers in this region have perfected their methods of agriculture and are now able to harvest the sweet berries year round. Three great bridges at the Rolanberry Fields' northeastern tip connect the region with its neighboring areas: the Lord Bolicevre Bridge leads to the Batallia Downs, the Market Bridge leads to the Grand Duchy of Jeuno, and the Great Jeuno Bridge grants access to the Sauromugue Champaign.

Evading taxes from the Grand Duchy, many adventurers bazaar their wares on the Rolanberry side of the Market Bridge. Many bargains can be found in this makeshift shopping area, but buyers beware: Several adventurers have walked away several gils lighter than if they'd have checked the auction house first.

Deodorize and Sneak work really well here. Invisible helps but most of the gobs (which track by sight) stay near the gates. In fact I've never seen a gob til I got to about G-6 before and that was a long shot. Oh man, do I love Red Mage. Just those three spells makes it wonderful solo.
i reckon you could

hmmm probably .....i just managed to get from crawlers nest to pashow marshlands as lvl 37/17 warrior white mage..without being aggroed..and i walked past about 20 gobs and 20 of them masisve tenacle bummers and they didnt attack me...i wasnt even trying to avoid them..so if your careful and cast deodarise i reckon you could

and dont stick to the path..unlike other areas..the aggressive mobs seem to be all over the path..god knows why..

I would have suggested yes, because you should have deodorize and sneak by then.
I would live hear...

This is by far my favorite area simply because of the music and the landscape. I've been wanting to level here but everyone around is usually too high for me. I have always had a thing for orchids and groves. Yeah, I would move here if it were a real place, except without the gobs, bees, Ochus, Gobbeus and Quadavs lol.
Fountain of Partings
# Nov 17 2004 at 11:25 AM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know how to get to this place? I have tried getting there from Rolanberry but there is a ledge there that prevents you from going up and I have not found a way around it. Thanks for any and all help with this. *^^*

Fountain of partings is accessed via crawler's nest. It's a long, winding route, taking you past aggroing bees (wespes *sight*) saplings (witch hazel *sound*) scorpions, and crawlers. Come prepared with prism powders and silent oils if you aren't a mage. You'll need to look up a map if you don't have one in game.

What is at the fountain of partings? An HNM giant bird (Simurgh 90% sure). From what I've read on him he's camped a lot. When I was there, I didn't see anyone, nor did I see the bird. There's an ochu spawn and lots of leeches; those have a reasonably high drop rate for carby's ruby, by the way.

I gotta say that I LOVE THIS PLACE. More than Qufim. Everyone says its impossible to get through, I LOVE IT. I give tours all the time at level one! Of course thats just me, I'm an exxplorer. I went to rabao at level one as well, and many other places, like Eldiem Necropolis, Hall of the Gods... hehe

Oh and btw, Im having a party for dragoons and mages there. Its a fifty million dollar party with gifts for everyone. Food, Armour, Weapons and anything else. Maybe even some scrolls for the summoners! But I also have bad news, the connection on my laptop has died so I cant play for a few months untill its fixed, so I hang out on my desktop here 8)
No it doesnt install on this computer
HEHE
come see me sometime (when my connection is fixed) Im on the TITAN SERVER!

Getting to Jeuno
# Aug 16 2004 at 5:38 PM Rating: Decent
This place is really easy to get through I've gone through here on foot 3 times 2 escorting people and anouther with a friend getting me there. Theres lots of stuff to hide behind so you can easily avoid the Gobbue's and the Quadav's.

Don't remember what gobbue aggro, but quadav aggro sound. Hiding won't help ya. If you're ridiculously low level, and you're determined to make it through alive, make it a lot easier on yourself and bring a mage, or bring oils and powders. If you can only afford one, go with oils. That way you only have to avoid sight aggro mobs, and those are relatively easy. Got killed 4 times trying to get a lv 2 job to CN... didn't know the low level gobbue aggroed lol 'doh!

The "good thing" you are referring to is the Silkworm egg. it is used for a Port Bastok quest called "Fear of Flying". With max fame, I can sell the egg for 251 gil at the shops. It is an ex item but not rare, and oddly enough... stackable as well.

That being said, I would not call it a worthwhile camp. If you are high enough level to solo the Silk Caterpillar, then there are much better places to farm. If you decide to try this out for yourself, please be courteous to people who may show up actually wanting to complete the quest. ^^

At level 20, me (a 20 RDM at the time) and a 20 MNK made the run from Bastok to Jeuno without dying once? We were aggroed a few times near the zone, but other than that it was easy. The secret? Sneak. Most of the enemies aggro to sound, save for the gobs. You don't need a high level to escort you, but a level 20 RDM or WHM should do the trick.
RE: escort needed?
# Feb 24 2004 at 1:37 PM Rating: Decent
Ive made it with a lvl 1 from windy to sandoria then from sandy to bastok and back to windy w/o dying once. just be careful =D all quadavs agro, so do gobou things, gobs and the ochus bees and crawlers dont and neither do bats.

Well, I decided to go to Jueno.. I don't know why I did.. but oh well.

I went through the marshland, never once caught by a bad guy. Alright! I'm well on my way.

I get here, and I DON'T HAVE A MAP OF THE AREA. Thats right, no map. I have litterly NO idea where the **** I am.

So.. Am I screwed?

What is wrong with you people??? The real problem is all of the Goobbue Farmers!! AND THE marbaraloes (however you spell it). stay the hell away from both those mobs unless 30+

Actually it's not the Malboro's that's there, it's the Ochu's, which if it's the same from what I remember in old FF, that they're not as bad as the Malboro, but i'm not sure. Great place but no one level's there in my server so it's kind of a waste really.
