Description

The Sanctuary of Zi'tah is considered a favorite zone by many of Vana'diel's adventurers due to its peaceful scenery and serene music. A coniferous forest with a variety of inhabitants, it is primarily traveled through to reach Ro'Maeve or The Boyahda Tree. Despite its beauty, the Sanctuary is not by any means a safe area for adventurers. Goblins patrol the area and the undead come out at night.

I did every mission and quest for this place...I would really love to see more or add a boss to this area....like a really tough one that sits or walks in areas H-6 to J-9 . I was thinking something like the Hydra from Treasures. That would be wicked to see something that huge walking around Zi'Tah or even a bigger golem. Having something really tough that lives there would be something worth seeing, or even better fighting.

Just a note, the Goobbue Gardeners are easy solo to a 52 THF/NIN. 95 Marks, fun to skill up, sleep bolts to get Utsu and SA up. Pretty easy.

you can exp at several levels in Zitah:

lv20-23 entrance, lower tier gobs

lv35-38 near outpost, bats, flies, leeches, gobs, funguars

gobbue area (southeast) bats, funguars, gobs, gobbue

lv38-41 near ro maeve zone (north) coeurl, hounds, funguars, golems

lv42-44 anywhere there are a lot of rot prowlers (skeletons)

Now welcome to my guide to partying in Zi'Tah.

The minimum lv to even be able to do fight here is lv 34. Now at this lv you can take on Ogre Flies and thoes lesser bats. Now a huge must for jobs are two main ones they are: Thf and Pld without these two jobs at this lv do not hope to last to long. S.A.T.A. does ALOT of damage to the flies here. I'm talking about taking off 1/4 to almost half of there life off if done properly. When the parties average level hits lv 36 then you may also add Goblin Traders and maybe depending on the party Robbers. Trust me when i say if you take the time to make a good party for here you and your party members will be at lv 41 in no time at all. Once you and your party have an average level of 40 then you may move on to thoes mushroom things. For my Jobs in my party that really help me was this: Pld,Thf,Whm,Blm,Smn,War/nin or Nin/War Now with the New job classes implemented alot would say they would not do that well here....WRONG! infact the PUP class is very usful as a DD if you have War subbed. Blu if you have either Whm or Thf subbed and COR if you have Thf or Rng. Now I know alot of you will refuse to try something new but for thoes of you who are I know this will help. So remeber S.A.T.A wipes out Flies.

There are two major "crops" here, the goobbues (cuttings and moss) and the robber gobs (gob gear for desynth). In addition you can get a Carbuncles Ruby off the leeches, lightning clusters, and at a high enough level, coerl whiskers and leather.

Heavy competition for the cuttings, you need extremely fast pull (rdm casting dia/fast cast; xxx/war with voke; xxx/bst with charm, or drk/blm with stun); if you use darts, you won't usually be quick enough to do too well.

For goobbues, there are three areas, all in the southeastern corner and all connected: 1) the large area north of the regular door to the tree -- cycle of 5 spawns; 2) the smaller area through the bushes, heading towards the back door -- cycle of 3 spawns; and 3) smallest area, just in front of the back door -- cycle of 2 spawns. In area 1, respawn around 5 minutes. When the 3 in area 2 are killed, the 2 in area 3 will pop; when they are done, the 3 in area 2 will repop after about a 1 minute wait. As I recall, with TH2, the cuttings drop on about 25% of the kills; unless there is very heavy competition, a decent 60+ thief using flee should clear at least a stack an hour.

If you get tired of the goobbues or there are too many farmers (up to 4 in all 3 areas very good, more than that, starts to get tough), head over to the outpost and hit on the robber gobs.

While doing the Samurai job quest, I noticed another ??? (Not marked, like the doors in Sea Serpents Grotto). I didn't see anything about it here. Anyone know what it's for?

There are two other ???'s in Zi'tah. One is on the east side for SAM AF 1 (requires "Sack of Fish Bait" which I get everyother kill from Gob Robbers with TH2). The other is near the zone to Ro'Maeve; used to pop the Weapon Skill NM for Steel Cyclone.

Does anyone have any information on the Noble Mold that supposedly drops the Rain Hat? Somepage and Mysterytour both state that the Noble Mold in Zi'tah drop the Rain Hat but Alla has no information on either the mob or the drop. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these.

3 person pt vs IT
# Aug 01 2005 at 1:55 PM Rating: Decent
I have a whole new outlook on partying now becuz of my first experience with this area. 2 of my friends, rdm/nin 41 and blm/whm 41 were doing a supply quest out here and decided to hang out behind the OP and take some EM and T mobs for fun. I'm a 41 war/nin and they wanted me to come out there to make the fights go by quicker with less down time. Wanted to do supply quest as well. So.....

After a few fights I was aggro'd by an IT Goblin Robber and said "oh sh*t i hope you guys are ready". We really had no problem with it and got 216xp from it. Neither of them were completely drained of mana after the fight and had we were pretty ego'd up after that, lol. I really didn't know a 3 man pt could take ITs, but we were able to take 2 of them before having to stop and full rest. throw some Ts in there and we were able to hit a chain of 4.

We're pretty used to pt'ing with eachother so the chemistry is exceptional. Granted, utsusemi doesn't last long enough till recast every time, but with the blm/whm having blink, he could steal hate for a few seconds and i was good to go again. Rdm/nin would use refresh on himself and the blm and also blind and slow the mob. and he was hardly touched having stoneskin and utsusemi. blm used frost and choke for status effect. pretty much we stuck to gob robbers and traders. bats aggro and are quite annoying.

anyways, sorry for the lengthy post. i'm sure others have done this, but i had to share the story in case anyone's had bad luck with full pt's. we all lvl'd to 42 and then some. about 10 or 11k xp in 4hrs. thanx if you read all of this^^

Around lvl 55 is safe enough to farm the goobbues in this area. They turn out to be EP but I was able to take them down easy as 55BLM. All I needed was Stoneskin and Blink to stay alive. Stoneskin and Blink didn't even wear off by the end of the battle. The other monsters will be EP too but they shouldn't aggro.

Hope this helps and good luck farming^^

Lol I just went here and I was going to comment how awesome the music was, but I see people have already done that ^^ I was here doing the SAM quest and when I first walked in, I was kinda mystefiedd from the difference of the music, because I had been hanging out in Crawlers Nest for about a week leveling from 35-40 and such. So I basically went from silence to this awesome BGM, Great Fun and I got SAM :)

They can also drop Golem Shards, which sell for about 2k each on my server. Not bad money, I suppose, but the drop rate is really poor without TH, perhaps 1/15 or so. Considering the somewhat rare nature of golems (few pop spots and long repop times) they're probably not worth farming, unless mythril ore is selling at a premium on your server.

Just so you know, there is a published Soundtrack for Final Fanstasty XI: The Rise of Zilart. It is available in non-bootleged (published by SE or a company they have a contract with) form from websites like gamemusic.com and animenation.com. There are also bootlegged copies, but you can find those yourself.
