Bone cap around 18

Well since the guy who kept failing was able to craft this then it means all his skills were atleast within 15 of the cap. We know wood cap and mystery has 35 or 37 as smith. This means that bone is probably somewhere aroung 18 considering it alowed him to craft but could make it
need Smith and Bone skill

Woodworking skill is definetly NOT enough to craft this!

Bonecraft and Smithing skills are also needed...tried it at Wood 83, Smithing 34 and Bonecraft 6 and I had five or six failures in a row, then I obviously gave up and took the loss ; ;

Most multiple skill recipes are dependant on skills used to craft the items used in it.

Judging from this recipe, the necessary subskills would either be Smithing (for Darksteel), Alchemy (for Carbon Fiber), or Bonecraft (using the Femur). As you said; Bonecraft and Smithing as subskills complicate the attempts.

How much subskill is required varies. A good rule of thumb is that you'd need to be able to feasibly make the subcraft item(s) that are used. In this case, that would mean you'd need a good 45+ Smithing skill.
