Purchasing a Timeless Hourglass

A Timeless Hourglass is needed to enter any Dynamis Area. Only one Timeless Hourglass is needed for the entire group of participants to enter. A Timeless Hourglass can be purchased from any of the three Goblin Standard Merchant Haggleblix, Antiqix or Lootblox (see Table below). The cost of a single Timeless Hourglass is 500,000 gil.

Table 1: Goblin Merchants selling Timeless Hourglasses
Name of Goblin Location Function
Haggleblix Beadeaux Entrance Standard Merchant
Antiqix Castle Oztroja Entrance Standard Merchant
Lootblox Davoi Entrance Standard Merchant

Using a Timeless Hourglass

When all participants are ready to enter the Dynamis Zone, the Timeless Hourglass is traded to the Trail Markings or Hieroglyphics found in the zone corresponing to the selected Dynamis Area. This will change the Timeless Hourglass into a Perpetual Hourglass.

The Perpetual Hourglass will have the name of the selected Dynamis Zone registered (bottom line of the description), as well as the timestamp of the moment the Timeless Hourglass was traded to the Trail Markings or Hieroglyphics. Also the clock will be set to indicate the validity of the Perpetual Hourglass: once the time indicated on the clock has been reached, the Hourglass is no longer valid and the person carrying the Hourglass will be warped out of the Dynamis zone. On an expired Perpetual Hourglass the reading will show up as .

Once the Timeless Hourglass has been activated and converted to a Perpetual Hourglass, copies of the Perpetual Hourglass can be made just by 'using' it. Copies have to be traded to all other participants wishing to enter the selected Dynamis zone.

Finally participants trade their copy of the Perpetual Hourglass to the Trail Markings or Hieroglyphics to enter the selected Dynamis Zone.

• Do i have to pay 1 mil, for every Dynamis enter? Or is this an item i can use up to some many times?
• Does each party member need an hourglass, or is it one per 6 people?

It's gone after one use, but you get a perpetual hourglass back. Each partymember will need one of those. (not the timeless)
How it is used ...

I posted this to the Perpetual Hourglass database page, but I'll repost it here since it answers many of the questions posted here ...

As many have said, this is the item required for entry in to Dynamis. This is how it works ...

A single individual trades 1,000,000 gil to one of the goblin merchants that stands at the entrance to the beastmen areas. The goblin gives him a Timeless Hourglass.

The Timeless Hourglass is then traded to a set of Trail Markings (not goblin footprint) in Southern San d'Oria, Windurst Walls, Bastok Mines, Ru'Lude Gardens, Xacrabard, or Beaucedine Glacier. Doing so reserves that Dynamis area, and the individual receives a Perpetual Hourglass back.

The Perpetual Hourglass can then be "used" to duplicate it as many times as necessary. There is no "parent" hourglass -- they can all be duplicated by anyone who has one. The Perpetual Hourglass is given to anyone who is to enter Dynamis--they trade the perpetual hourglass to the Trail Markings to be teleported in to Dynamis.

You can rest assured that if you are given a Perpetual Hourglass by a stranger, or weren't invited to go on a Dynamis run, then it is worthless because either a) the time has expired, or b) the group has retreated or given up anyway.

You need to trade 1000000 (1 million) gil to one of the Dynamis goblins (Believe they are in Beadeaux, Castle Oztroja and Davoi) for this. That may sound like a lot but assuming you have the 64 people going to Dynamis split the cost it'll only cost each person 15625 gil.

When you use a perpetual hourglass it splits into three. People usually sell one for alot and one for a liitle gil to get somone to buy one. Its used to get into Dynamis.

This item does have to do with Dynamis. You trade this item to the Trail Marking in the area that you want to go to Dynamis at, then it reserves a time for you and it turns into a Perpetual hourglass. Once it is time for your Dynamis run, you trade the Perpetual Hourglass to the same trail markings and you are off to Dynamis.
What's this for?

Not ENTIRELY sure, but it's probably like the Prepetual Hourglass - used to enter Dynamis. Maybe it has a longer wait before it runs out?

Actually, I believe this becomes the Perpetual Hourglass once you trade it to the Trail Markings or something.... x.x Not sure, though.

Nivys is correct, pretty much - a Timeless Hourglass produces Perpetual Hourglasses every time it's traded to the Trail Markings, IIRC, so you'll have to trade it at least once before you can enter Dynamis.

It costs one million gil to purchase, as well.

Don't know what it's for but normally when you see perpetual hourglass in someone's bazaar the time is dead.
