i've been working on this for 2 years and finally it dropped off the first orc fighter i came across wile looking for orc aromer plate for the moogle mission
what a pain in the *** now i got to finish the adventurer foot steps before i can continue this quest. this earring better be worth it

OK, RDM60/THF25, forgot about this quest, til I was running thru my quests, and realized I still had to find some dumb tapestry... So, North Sandy here I come. A trip thru Gselba, and into the Grotto... ran past all the neckchoppers, stonechuckers and grunts... first fighter I found died fast - and dropped the tapestry. no gil, nothin else... but hey - TAPESTRY... now to see if my unfinished quest with the Mayor of Selbina (An Adventurer's Footsteps) screws me out of finishing this thing...

Ok, wth. How rare is this thing? I've cleared the grotto area of all orcs up where the bc is twice...no drop yet. Am i just unlucky here or what?

One more thing, you get a cunning earring from this quest, which is well worth it for an hour or so of your time. Cunning earring goes anywhere from 50-100k depending on your server.

Ok, in order to do this quest, you need CoP installed, and level 3 fame. You get the cathedral tapestry from orcs, then talk to some lady in Southern Sandy and she gives you the quest. From there go to the mayor in selbina, he will blab about the ordelles cave thingy. Then go to ordelles cave, get a chest key, find a chest, get the torn out pages, and you either talk to the mayor or he southern sandy lady, and whala! Your done! ^.^

i don't think it's CoP quest because i got this and don't have CoP

Is this a CoP quest or do I need max fame?
I have level six Sandy fame and got this quest. As for being a CoP quest, Im not sure.
Something tells me there will be more quests relating to this later on. Like a continuation. It was a very in depth cutscene and quest. I'll do the quest and find out I guess.
For this quest you talk to Sobane in South Sandy. The house is a little bit above the leather guild. Once you talk to her go to Yughott Grotto and kill Fighters. I got my drop on the 3rd fighter. Go back and give it to Sobane.
Then go to Selbina and find the mayor. Talk to him and he will tell you somethin about a book and missin pages. Then head to Ordelle Caves. Get the treasure key then go and find the chest and open it. Go back and give the pages to the mayor.

3.) Talk to Mayor of Selbina
4.) Hit up Ordelle's and find the Treasure Key
5.) Open chest to get papers
6.) Give papers to Mayor

Does anyone know who you're supposed to talk to AFTER giving this to the NPC that asks for it?

This is for a quest in Southern Sandy. The name of the quest is Signed in Blood i believe.
However im not sure what the reward for the quest is. I'm about to go get one and find out. Ill post back later when i know the reward and the name of the npc.
