A few nights ago, Lirianuin, Chellina and myself made out way through Jugner and while there decided to test Gnole aggro...

We found out the following, question marks are placed beside uncertainties.
Testing Moonphase for Healing move: Full Moon (98%)
Healed itself for: 1597

Gnole aggro (Jugner):
All gnoles were feet down...?

Does not aggro blood (while not a standing Gnole)
Aggros by sight and not true sight, does not aggro by sneak, uncertain if linking? (I was not /blm so could not safely sleepga for the test). Does not aggro magic. Aggro range is similar to any sight mob.

75 Rdm was able to safely Sleep II the Decrepit Gnole without using Elemental Seal or such (We wondered whether its connection to the Moon would make it stronger against Sleep, but did not have a Repose on hand to test its strength on light-based sleep spells). Logging out removed hate.

Untested theories: Rumour has it that when a Gnole stands it aggros both sound, sight and blood. We were unable to find a Gnole to test this out on, nor able to find out if normal Gnoles actually stand or if only the NM Alpha does so.

I would just like I've been soloing these days with TH4 to no avail, and I've noticed something about their healing move.

It seems weaker sometimes, and I'm starting to think it might also be related to the moon phase. Today the moons been at 30ish% and instead of healing for 600-800 like before, it's now healing at 300-400.. Just a thought that might be worth looking into.

well 300-400 heal is on the battalia ones by the way but since there is no battalia gnole posted then ill stick with this one

What made me consider this as a side note that it might be the moon phase, was the moon that pops over it, in it's animation and I saw it's hp heals drop consistency, could also be a fluke from me looking too deeply into things. (But we all know SE likes to hide hints into things.)

Their fevered pitch is defence down and stun, shadows block it, deals about 100-200 damage to me on THF 75 if i get hit. Defense down don't last for long, neither does stun.

Call of the moon/nox blast, not sure which. One adds a killer effect on the mob thats semi potent, that intimidates you, and the other adds a attack up buff on the mob, possibly more buffs since it might be like fenrirs.

Asuran claw, I've heard people say only are used from gnoles that are standing upright in jugner.

I can promise you that the ammount the Gnole heals is based on the moon. I've been trying to get a claw for about three days now and have killed well over 150 of them in batallia S, no exageration, no claw.

Anyway, tonight I saw that it was a full moon so I thought it would be a good time to get a drop. The Gnole were healing themselves for about 1400hp while yesterday at about 20% waning moon they were healing in the 400 range. Also, while the moon was full, their delay was very low for attacking. I'm talking almost 100 fists low. The damn things finish their animation, wait about half a seccond, and attack again. Durring the low moon they were pretty much normal speed.

So, I killed about 20 more durring full moon and no drops, but they were way more brutal. If anyone is planning on killing these, go when the moon is empty. In fact, this may have something to do with drop rates. I will have to investigate more.
