NM Info

This corse NM is killed to obtain the Sealion Crest Key, which is required to finish Chains of Promathia mission 4-3, PM 4-3 The Secrets of Worship.

Keremet spawns every 20-30 minutes at L-8 on the Sacrarium chapel map.

Battle Plan

Keremet is at the far end of a large room containing four taurus. Two side-by-side hallways leading into Keremet's room are each guarded by six skeletons. When Keremet is attacked, the skeletons (if not already dead) will rush to the NM's aid.

The easiest way to beat Keremet is:

  1. Kill the skeletons (12 total) in both hallways leading into Keremet's room.
  2. Wait for the taurus to move to one side of the room, and then pull Keremet into one of the two hallways.
  3. Fight Keremet in the hallway. A party of six can defeat him with little trouble.

Other Tips

  • Keremet can be silenced, but he's resistant to stun, sleep and blizzard spells.
  • Keremet's TP move "Danse Macabre" can charm party members. Charmed party members can be slept.
  • Keremet has an AoE silence move.
  • Keremet has ice spikes, which can be dispelled.
  • A beastmaster (or two) makes this fight easier, because beastmaster pets are immune to Keremet's charm. Two blubber eyes can duo Keremet.

Dispel does work on charm, but that's not the problem with this fight.

We went in, PLD got charmed, we slept him. Then what? We had no tank. We wiped afterwards. Make sure you have a backup tank for this crap.

If you're wondering about what % of HP he'll charm you at, keep in mind his charm is a TP move, like all Corses. He'll use it whenever he feels like.

Beat Keremet tonite in a pseudo-pickup CoP/LS party. War/Nin (me), Rdm/Blm, Rdm/Blm, Smn/Whm, Smn/Whm, and Whm/Blm. I was tanking and got charmed maybe twice or three times during the fight. Had avatars bloodpacting every minute. Prolly took about 10-15 min fighting. In the end, we had the SMN 2 hour on him and we got off 5 AFs before killing him. Not too bad, but take some melee!
Dispel Charm (but is it worth it?)

When someone in your pt, presumably the tank or biggest melee DD, gets charmed, rdm (maybe brd too) can Dispel charm. The problem is, you'll more than likely wind up dispelling the charmed persons buffs first, and have to cast a few dispels before getting to the charm. It may or may not be worth it to do this, and have to recast all buffs on the person midfight, or it may be wiser just to sleep them and hope charm wears off quickly. I'm just passing on the info, you decide how you want to work it.

Did you pull him all the way back by the entrance? That's a long run :(

I just got him to like 1% and died due to mischarm. I started by killing 1 of the Taurus in the room where he pops, then all of the 12 skeles while i rewarded my pet back to full life. Then I sent the eyes at Keremet. After the eyes died (he was at maybe 50-60%) I swapped between the 4 sets of tri-bats in the room. One taurus roaming around wasnt a problem at all, and the one I killed didnt repop until just before I died, on what would have certainly been my last pet swap. I tamed the bats, but call beast was down (I had used it earlier when all my bats were poisoned).

He's a real pushover for a BST duo. There are two Blubber Eyes in a hallway south of his room; each BST charms one and uses Familiar. Run in, send them to attack, and stand back, using Sic occasionally. Very easy.

I can imagine he would be easy using those.. charming the Blubber eyes would be infinately harder than the fight itself!

Watch out for elemental pops when charming the eyes. there's 2 eyes to the north and 2 eyes to the south of keremet, however elementals spawn on top of both .

Did this guy tonight. PT Setup: PLD, RNG, RNG, RDM, WHM, WHM. We uses Standard Food and Echo Drops.

He Charm at the beginnig of the Fight, then every 2 min. 2 PPL die and get Raised during Fight. It wasn´t too Hard but a very long fight (thanks to the RNG Nerf, EES does 120 dmg). We fight him in the Hall, so no problems with the Taurus. Tank stand on the Opposite from the Mages, so there was enough room to sleep Tank and Shadowbind Corse him when he use Charm.

Not against this guy, or any Corse, since it's undead. If, however, you mean using absorb-CHR on another mob, then fighting this, that's not very practical either. you'd either have to kill the mob you absorbed, which would waste the duration of said absorb, or sleep it and kill Keremet, risking the mob you slept waking up mid-fight and hitting you at the wrong time.

he charms way before 50% health. my pt went after this guy tonight with a pt of pld, drk, rng, whm, blm, and rdm. Our pld got charmed nearly right away and took down our blm when he woke. I (rng) then got charmed and went for our rdm. Luckily when rng is charmed it doesnt seem to know how to do ranged attacks, so i was only poking for 1-2 dmg. my charm wore off before sleep, so they woke me and we went back at it. Keremet then silence-ga'd us and it hit all the mages. Drk got charmed and wiped us all with the help of Keremet. We never even got it down to 50% hp.
fun!

Keremet was a pain when my CoP mission pt fault him.

there was only 6 of us, RDM, SMN, PLD, WHM, BLM. no supplies such as yagudo or ethers. no strategy besides beat the crap out of it.

Basically we fought it like you would a exp mob, silence, paralyze etc. our ranger and summoner were making distortion which ended up pretty really crappy and not helping at all. blm did the normal spells, minus any -ga spells as there were bats in the room. about 50% HP our PLD got charmed and went after our ranger who kited it, made astral flow miss once. blm casted freeze, wasted 300mp and did 150-200 dmg.. summoner did inferno second time did like 300-500 I forget. I don't believe the summoner got the third flow off in time =(.

basically after our PLD got uncharmed we did what we were doing at the start, good 10-15 minute battle we had and the taurs spawned back on us, did not aggro but was very close at some points.

I did happen to get aggro (I am the rdm) I went after the pld but only hit him for 4 with my club :P. right after we lotted the key we escaped went to clear formor hate and went back in.
Not too terrible.

The assorted skeletons in the hall are weak as anything, do not link to each other, and can be taken apart before ever entering Keremet's room. Do so. The respawn time on the hallway skellys is huge, so you'll have plenty of time to fight.

Keremet has two Tyranowhatevers in the room with him. They're seriously rough to fight. Consider grabbing Keremet and pulling him OUT the door into one of the hallways you just cleared; it's way better than fighting him in his own room.

Keremet is a Charm fiend, so be ready to Sleep people as needed. If he Charms a blink-tanking Ninja, fire off Stonega or some other AOE damage to drop shadows /first/, then Sleep the tank.

Took him down with a single party. Only real problems were that we had an inadvertant Tyranowhatever add (which our kitty-ranger lead away and sacrificed herself over), and Keremet used a high damage skill that wiped our Paladin out towards the end of the fight.

He's actually not too hard, just be prepared for a slugfest and take him in the hallway.

no need to stonega unless you dont have a blm. sleepga works just the same as any -ga spell -- it goes right thru shadows :)

Rated all the way up for superior use of tactics - well played! Sadly our config was PLD RNG SAM RDM SMN WHM, so Sleepga wasn't in order... but rated up all the same; I wouldn't have thought of Sleepga versus a shadowed ninja.

I'll be using that in Ballista, thanks. ^^

OK be prepared for a long fight with this guy. He has insanly high magic resist, like astral flow inferno and Magic Bursted Freeze only doing like 200. So bring lots of melees.

First split into two groups and kill all the skele's in the two halls, once that is done rest to full and pull this guy. Remeber about halfway through the battle he will start charming party members, probably the tank so bring a backup.
