We beat this fool last night. Fighting him is almost unbelievably annoying.

First, you have to clear your fomor hate to be able to fight him efficiently, which isn't hard but takes a bit of time. Then, you have to find the correct pop spot, which took us almost an hour. After that, you have to fight him in an environment where one mistarget is certain death. And then, he summons annoying little friends that love to beat on mages, plus he warps around like crazy and does all those annoying ghost TP moves, plus he LOVES to use Sleep (so bring your hi-potions and poison potions).

We beat him, but the tank and all three support died. Our galka MNK 2hrd him and then tanked (chugging hi-potions) while our SAM 2hrd him with 26hp remaining. Epic battle, but this guy definitely wins the 'more annoying than the Promy-Holla Boss' award. :)

This is a great post, try to have have at least one summoner to pop this thing tho. Plus have the summoner 2hr at about 40% of the mobs health. Use Jugdement bolt will take him down FAST. Good luck
Prof. camp

Just a note on how to camp the Prof a bit easier.

What you need:
a) 2 party members with 0 fomor hate or;
b) 1 pt member with thf or /thf and somebody with voke.

1st thing:
Go to one of the hallways with the 6 skellies, clear them out (takes 30sec).

2nd thing:
a) have 1 pt member pop the ghost and run back to camp. 2nd person will voke if the Taurus aggro's.
b) The thf or /thf will pop it and flee, 2nd person will open the door for them. 1st person flee's back to camp aggro'n everything in sight (fomor's and Taurus'). 2nd person vokes Prof and heads back to camp.

3rd thing (reraise earrings are a plus):
a) Raise up the person that initially pulled, have him heal up in the back.
b) Raise up the person that fled, have him heal up in the back.

At this point the prof will come to the camp, start fighting. Yes, you're down 1 person, but after about 30sec or so of fighting, he will despawn. Here's the key thing. He will come back to the camp in 1-2 minutes. So after he despawns, have mages heal MP, tanks get shadows/mp back, and get ready to fight again. He will despawn and return 4-5 times. This makes the fight last around 15min total. You get to heal MP, and raise anybody that may have died.

A note on his pupils. First party, we killed one of them, and only one came back with him. Second party, we didn't kill them at all (2nd tank just voked them). The pupils will come around the corner first followed by the prof. a couple seconds later.

This helped immensely. More importantly, by saving 1-3 hours erasing fomor hate and secondly, you get a chance to heal up MP and such between sparring matches. This allows blm's and rdm's to go full attack. Hate resets each time he comes back, so no worries there.

Defeated it with 7 people easily. It pops 2 little baby mobs that love to rape the mages. So its important to have 2 tanks. A kiter and a Main tank.

I fought it in the main room where all the Formor's are. The kiter run around the seats voking and doing whatever to keep attention on him so mages can rest. The little babies love to cast Blind (which isnt important for when kiting) and Gravity.

The main NM loves to cast Sleepga so make sure the mages are far away from him at all times.

Dont worry about killing the babies just keep them kiting and focus all energy on the Professor. Once the professor dies so does its babies.

A Ninja or Warrior/Ninja would be preferred as the Main Tank because the battle is very long (at least with 7 people) shadows save alot of MP.

Pretty easy fight.
Tough fight with 6 people

Back when most of the CoP missions were still being discovered and very little information on the web, my party did this quest. Coming into this fight, we had no idea how it was going to fair out.

We had a normal setup, nin, mnk, rng, blm, whm, bard. We pop this ghost, pulled him in the hall, then started to fight him. We later found out he spawns other ghost and likes to warp back in the room where he spawned. We ended up winning but won with the all the mages dead, the mnk and rng dead and the ninja with only 10hp left. Thank goodness for reraise.
