Mission Orders

Your quest takes you to Qu'Bia Arena, but the otherworldly force of the crystal bars your path. Only by harnessing its power for yourself may you gain entry!

Walkthrough

You need to collect nine Seed Afterglows in 30 minutes. The Seed Afterglows are targetable spots like the ???s used in other quests, but they move around. When you check them, you will get a message in the dialogue window indicating that you found a colored facet, but you will not receive an inventory or key item. On the upper level map, there is an Afterglow in each of the four main rooms. You will find Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green facets on this map. Four more Seed Afterglows are found on the lower level map. There is once Seed Afterglow in the main room. The other three are found behind random Cerment Doors to the south, southwest, and west of the main room. The facets found on the lower level are White, Cerulean, Silver, and Gold. The ninth Afterglow is on the upper level. It can be found at (E-7)/(F-7) or (F-6)/(F-7). This will give you the Blue facet.

Once you have all nine facets, you will be allowed to chose from the Mark of Seed or an Azure Key. If you chose the Mark of Seed, you will need to proceed to the Burning Circle in Qu'Bia Arena to get a cut scene and start the next mission. If you chose the Azure Key, you may use it to open the coffer in Neptune's Spire.

Watch out when u get the Silver seed. We opened the door to the emblem to meet a nice NM named Sluagh just waiting to slaughter our party of 4. It's at F-8, and is quite a Banshee. Wiped our party so we had to start over again.
hmm

I got a message saying "The glow of the MArk of Seed flickers and dims ever so slightly..."

Is this a time mark indicator? And if so, how often does it display the message? It seemed roughly 10 minutes. Someone please verify this if correct.

You have to get the colored Facets in a certain order. Which is 1-9 or you can't choose the mark or the seed or the Azure key. I ended up doing this twice before I figured it out.

Mark of Seed vs. Azure Key

Okay in case the comment about choosing one or the other confused anyone else, here's the scoop per another source...

If you choose the Mark of Seed, you can take that directly to Qu'Bia Arena and initiate the battle (but you probably want to be ready with a full 75 party -- I hear the mobs there aren't pushovers like the Seed Mandragoras). If you choose the Azure Key, you take it to the Tenshodo HQ in Lower Jeuno and open a Treasure Coffer, which I believe yields... the Mark of Seed. Then you wait until Japanese midnight before you can start the Qu'Bia battle. If anyone can confirm this (if they've got time to waste getting the Azure Key and waiting a while) we'll all know for sure but I haven't yet heard anything advantageous about getting the key.
