Summary

Apathy, arrogance, cowardice, envy, rage--the darkness that lurks within us all...

Walkthrough

Note: You can also complete this mission by doing the quest Divine Might.

Ark Angel battle x 5.

To beat this mission, you must defeat the five Ark Angels in a BCNM battle. Each Ark Angel is battled one at a time. Each Ark Angel has two jobs, and each can use the 2-hour abilities of each of its jobs.

Travel through the Hall of the Gods to Ru'Aun Gardens. The floating island is filled with red and blue portals; follow the red portals to get to La'Loff Amphitheater where the BCNM takes place. While traveling, be aware of elementals, statues and pots that may agro to magic. Statues standing on blue platforms will agro to sight if you get too close.

Here's a Map of Ru'Aun Gardens:

Six people can enter the BCNM, and the Ark Angels can be fought in any order.

Ark Angel TT(BLM + DRK):

  • does AE attack Drive that can paralyze and petrify, doing 100-300 damage.
  • casts up to level 4 magic.
  • teleports around.

The strategy to beat this guy is to have mages stand outside the circular battle field and just attack/heal from there as the AE attack can be deadly if the white mage is hit. Other than that, just have the melee do their usual.

Ark Angel MR(THF + BST):

  • Rampage WS for 800+ damage towards the end of fight.
  • (Havoc Spiral) for 2-300 damage. Also uses a sleep WS.
  • Uses Call Beast at start.

Sleep the pet and just focus on Ark Angel MR. Aside from Rampage the fight isn't too bad.

Ark Angel HM (NIN + WAR):

  • Blink tanks.
  • Uses WS (Cross Reaver) for 500-900 damage.

The key is surviving Migin Gakure, which can kill nearby party members. Mages should cast barfira on themselves and melees, then stay back out of AoE range. Earthen Ward can help protect party members.

Ark Angel EV (PLD + WHM):

  • May use Invincible and Benediction.
  • Uses (Spirit's Within).
  • Uses Shield Bash, ALOT, and it has a long stun time. Erase can take out this stun effect so it can be invaluable for this battle.
  • Uses AE attack (Dominion's Slash) that also silences, does 2-300 damage.

Use gravity to kite this mob while others deal damage to it; this is the best way to avoid the Ark Angel's spirits within, which can one-shot a fully healed party member.

Ark Angel GK (DRG + SAM)

  • Uses Call Wyvern and Meikyo Shisui. It is possible that GK can create a Light Skillchain when using Meikyo Shisui. For our battle, GK did a Fragmentation with Tachi: Yukikaze and Tachi: Gekko.
  • Jump ability that does AE damage and binds for a few seconds.

The galka Ark Angel deals a ton of damage. Using a blink tank can help negate damage taken.

OK just a note...don't do this or let it happen to you. I'm sure it has happened before but...

DO NOT let someone in the alliance enter the shimmering circle before the person with the ark pentasphere trades it.

In this case, I was the one with the ark pentasphere (which by the way, as evidence from other posts on here shows, is somewhat frustrating to obtain...).

It took a while to get 16 ppl up to the arena and about 1/4 of the people who answered our leader's shout didn't seem all that experienced, I among them. This would have been my first DM so I made sure I knew my role in the battle.

The leader/shouter also had an ark pentasphere and we used his first- The other PLD and I ran in at the same time to get hate and they all aggroed the other pld. The others pulled the TT and finished him off but in the meantime I was told not to voke whatsoever in the plan, so the 4 other enemies finished my fellow PLD off quite quickly.

I glimpsed 3 DDs jumping into the center as I tried to get hate without voke, I grabbed the mithra...but the DDs, who were supposed to be pulling 1 at a time to the stairs, didn't go by the plan. They got hate from the hume and the elvaan and were also dead pretty quickly. After they died I finally had hate from what seemed to be 3 or 4 remaining enemies, and spam paralyze/silence made me unable to really do anything so I died. We wiped.

After this attempt, we changed the battle plan a bit- I asked if I could voke and was told yes, etc...and when we were ready someone entered Ark Angels instead of DM because they went in the second before I traded, causing most ppl to not be able to enter, so I exited and my ark pentasphere was no good anymore.

Disappointing but I got over it, just don't let it happen to you.

I, Chainspell => Thunder III random targets. Fight over, No deaths, barely even scratched. Everything nuked to death in what time...

5 minutes and 3 seconds. Fairy server New Record.

You are so right. I organized a group of 18 and then walked in with supertank party, blm party, and melee party all with orders to follow so we could pull from a supertank strategy and the PLD walked up and flash'd the stupid monster and we all crashed and people left.

Better to lose 1 or 2 then to lose the entire reason you are up there. And BTW, get the supertank first so that you have someone reliable. Getting a last minute PLD was what I did and he probably had him and his buddies quite a good time laughing at the mess they caused.

I have been at the fountain for hours at Full Moon time, checking the fountain which has not changed for 4 days. The weather is always rain or double lightening between 00-03.00 . I can see no moon in the sky , guess I need clear weather to trade. This is worse than the choco quest ; ;

OK got the item when the sky was clear at 00.00 hours the fountain filled up. You can see the reflection of the moon in it. When the fountain is full you can trade the item.

(get your Moon pass whilst here)

Try to keep the mages in the center of the arena. 99% of the time, they will be able rest and heal safely from there.

Just did ZM14 with the 6 man fights, and a lot of this info is VERY incorrect, or is missing a lot.

Ark Angel TT(BLM + DRK) :
-does AE attack [Amon Drive] that can paralyze and petrify, doing 100-300 to PALADINS, melee make take upwards of 500 damage.
-CAN, and WILL, cast BLM only spells, including Tier IV and -ga III (Thundaga III sucks.)
-teleports around.
-Can use all Scythe WSes, so bring Echo Drops in case of Guillotine

Ark Angel MR[THF + BST] :
-Can use all Axe WSes, including Calamity and Rampage. Calamity is weak, Rampage is only deadly to non-tanks.
-Havoc Spiral for about 150-350 damage. This WS also is AoE Sleep and Gravity
-Uses Call Beast at start. If the pet called is anything but a tiger pet, run away from the battlefield by clicking the portal, as the battle can get very hard.
-Can Charm a player - Be Sure to sleep the charmed player
-Uses Perfect Dodge.

Ark Angel HM[NIN + WAR] :
-Uses Mighty Strikes multiple times
-Uses Mijin Gakure at the end
-Likes to cast NIN Debuffs
-Cross Reaver for about 200-500.
-Uses Sword WSes, including Vorpal Blade.

Pull the Ark Angel with Gravity unless your tank is a NIN (then I really fear for you ^^;). Mighty Strikes is DANGEROUS, as Ark Angel HM attacks fast and has an almost insane Double Attack Proc Rate. After Mighty Strikes wears off, straight up tank. He will use Mighty Strikes AGAIN. Start Kiting.
Don't forget Barfira.

Ark Angel EV[PLD + WHM] :
-WILL use Invincible and Benediction.
-Uses Sword WSes, including Swift Blade and a dangerous "Spirits Within"
-Shield Strike is a potent Stun + Knockback.. She can SPAM this
-Uses Dominion Slash, which is an AoE from its Target, for about 150-450 Damage. It also has a chance to silence, so Echo drops
-Cast WHM Spells, including Banishga III.
-Longest Fight of the Single Ark Angels

Yu are going to want to Kite AA EV with Gravity -and- Bind. Be careful with Bind, however, as she plays by the old MPK rules and will aggro the first person who hits her when bound, no matter how much hate the tank has. Spirits Within is NOT Blinkable, and is very very dangerous. Your basically going to be fighting this AA twice, so be sure to conserve MP appropriately.
Other than that, dont fogrget that Dominion Slash is AoE based on its TARGET. Mages, stay in the center of the arena so you aren't chasing the tank. Might be beneficial to keep Stoneskin up if possible, in case of a Dominion Slash gone wild.

Ark Angel GK[DRG + SAM] :

-After 10 seconds of engaging, will Call Wyvern. This is his 2hr. HE DOES NOT USE SPIRIT SURGE
-Uses Meikyo Shisui, and uses it Multiple times. His favorite skillchain is Yukikaze > Gekko = Fragmentation > Kasha = Light. Once he picks a Skillchain, he will always use that SC for that battle.
-Dragonfall is an AoE Jump that can have added effect Bind and Blind.

The GK is a fairly easy battle, especially compared to the one you just fought, (likely the EV). Anyway.
He'll, 9 times out of 10, start with Dragonfall, so its best to let your tank go in and aggro/voke before the Melee engage. Once his wyvern is out, go engage.

Now, Ark Angel GK does NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT, have the ability to Skillchain if one of his WSes misses. So, your tank should do this:

-Eat the first WS. Every WS he could use is 1 hit.
-Cast Flash (or recast shadows) immediately after.
-His second WS will likely miss
-Eat his third WS.

No skillchain, no death.

Be warned: The Wyvern will try to MB Breath on his Skillchain.

Other than that, he's rather easy.

# Sep 02 2006 at 3:46 AM Rating: Default
For 1. Divine Might and Arch Angels are the SAME THING. many people say differently . well your all wrong. simply because Divine Might and Arc Angels Both are ZM14 and give you your (Suppanomimi, Bushanomimi, ect..) you fight 5 mobs in black, a galka, elvaan, taru, mithra, and hume. both having 2 jobs and can use 2hours from both.

Elvaan = PLD and WHM
Galka = DRG and SAM
Hume = WAR and NIN
Mithra = BST and THF
Taru = DRK and BLM

the object is to kill all 5.
it can be done with 6 people i did it twice.
it can also be done "EASILY" with 18 people.
2 kinds of set ups can be used.

16BLM's and 2 leachers.
or
2PLD's, 4WHM's, 12 damage dealers of any kind.
and take note :: you dont exactly need 12 DD u can mix it up with BRD's and RDM's and stuff..

ok for those who are all hyped up about this fight and get nervous. well dont be. alot of people say its uber hard. but we beat it with BLM,BLM,WHM,RDM,PLD, and some other DD dont remember. first go in. and fight 1. the others do not link. they do however agro. so get close and pick them off 1 at a time. the easiest way to get people for this fight. first. check ur friends. if u get any. have them check their friends. then when u have about 3 people. pick 3 different area's to shout in. lower jeuno, port jeuno, and Ru'Lude Gardens is what i did. well make sure u have 2 PLD tanks. atleast 2 WHMs. and a refresher. other wise kiss ur victory goodbye.

we did this order ::
Elvaan :: why? :: well simply it was the hardest and we knocked it out. we had a few deaths. but in the end it worked out because we full rested and by the time we were full rested we had exactly 15 minutes left. to kill the other 4. galka went down in like 3-4 minutes. mithra put up a fight. we slept the pet pwned her **** hardcore. then went after the hume. (THIS IS THE HARDEST IN MY OPINION) this guy does mijin gakure and rapes eveyrone within range. he does it at 40%ish hp. and then follows up with a ws for 600-700 ON ANYONE. after that the fight was easy he took 7-8 minutes to do and we did have a few deaths.

im looking to doing this again on my new ninja char. i need suppanomimi. im doing it very soon so if you are on titan server and need it give me a /tell. i can organize it. ive been in the fight 4 times. completed it 3 times. so hit me up. also if ur a BLM and have a BLM group that does it. me and a friend will pay 100k to each black mage that helps. 300k to the BLM who sets it up. so gimme a /tell and rate me up please. i know this helped.
BLM Alliance is the way to go!!
# Mar 05 2006 at 5:56 PM Rating: Decent
18 of us just did this on Fairy Server today. Our party setup was:

13BLM's 73+
2BLM's 71+
1 PLD
2 other Melee jobs.

Ok i have decided not to mention in any detail about our noobish start, coz i dont want to insult the BLM in question who killed us all as he came to help us after one of the BLM's disconnected.

Tips to ensure success

Nominate 1 BLM to get close to the Ark Angel. Have him begin to cast Flare on the mob (we decided to target the Galka). Then sit down to stop the cast, and have everyone line up along that BLM. DO NOT have 15 people testing range by themselves, because there is always going to be one noob, who will cast Frost instead of Freeze (Naming no names), and will kill everyone!

Secondly ensure one person is nominated to call a time (in our case it was me who called the time). Ensure you give everyone plenty of time... dont call a time that is 5 seconds away, coz you will rush everyone, and someone will make a mistake.

If everything goes well, possibly 1 or 2
will be left. Have the PLD voke and Invincible the Elvaan while you nuke the elvaan, because he will do Benediction if he doesnt die quick.

Finally finish off the Galka and then you will win!

To get your earring, have back to the " " in RuAvita Shrine and choose from the list.

Did this yesterday. The set-up 15 blms 14 being 73+ and 3 other 75s (bst,war,rdm) It was not easy at all. We thundaga 3 and kill off mithra and taru and then wipe and RR. Second time we almost wiped all 3 but only got galka and the elv decided to bene.and the hume did nin 2hr and wiped us then we RR. Third atempt we got up rested from weakness and Then did thundaga and blizzaga 3 ftw and won ^-^ we had 2min and 2sec left on timer.. This was worth the exp loss. Each time I died I had my RR2 dispelled and had to eat R1.

They are all really easy besides the damn Elvaan. When you have a nin tank its a walk in the park to defeat all. For the elvaan you just need some time (dot is the key). When she is down to 30% (After benediction) meele her *** of and nuke her to death. Her regen is so strong that you cant kite her anymore.
Smn start to get some hate with fenrir and i used my SA (74 thf) on her for some extra dmg. After fenrir is dead get nin on her and kite her. She is using her shield Bash really often and when she do it she stand for maybe 10-15secs and cast something. Enough time for a /thf or thf main to do a another SA on her. Or to get fenrir on her again.
Its a slow way but its save. Spirits within just hurts WAY to much with more than 50% of her HP. When you have 100tp just wait for another shield bash and do SA+DE on her. OF COURSE you will have alot hate after all this :p. So be prepared to kite also a bit (and as thf this should be np).

Its simple... dot till benediction keep dot till 30-40% and than meele her *** off with all what you have. And importend for the mages she als Dispel stuff. We leanrd it the hard way. Maybe with her dominion slash or something dunno but its really nasty -_-".

I've tried this today, and I have to say the strategies posted here are severely lacking. Sure, you can just do damage and kill him, but if you have a balanced party (i.e. not geared towards full damage) the strategy you have to do is different.

Party setup:

PLD/WAR 71/35 (me)
WHM/SMN 71/35
THF/WAR 70/35
DRG/WAR 71/35
BLM/WHM 75/37
RDM/BLM 74/37

Straight attack won't work, as Amon Drive got most of the party and the WHM couldn't remove all the statuses in time. Plus the continous teleporting made it hard to tank.
But, if you watch carefully you notice that you can use a "semi-kiting" strategy. It's "semi" since the TT doesn't move at all, just teleports. Tank grabs hate, everyone WAIT till he casted IV, -ga magic or Amon Drive (tends to do that at fight start). Now, the TT uses the tank as a base to cast AOE/magic (obviously). So the trick is voking , flashing, etc. staying away from him. Not only you'll avoid getting WS on you (less damage is always good) but Amon Drive won't get anyone but you (it hasn't a very big range from what I've seen). Same with magic. So while you stay away the others can whack him with no problems.
We did like this (after a couple failed attempts) and we even broke the record on Asura (too bad it will be reset).
Ironically, you get a "shard of cowardice" as key item after defeating him...pretty much fitting since we had to use a "coward" approach.

Just a theory as to why the Key Item for
"AA-TT"s was "Shard of Cowardice". Bare with me I just got ZM14 flagged so this is just theory for me, if i'm if someone can post as to whether i'm right or wrong thats great and I thank you.

Anyway, if you remember dureing the CS of the first time you TP'd up to Ru'Aun Gardens. The woman mentioned a particular character trait for each race.

Tarutaru = Cowardice
Elvaan = Arrogence
Mithra = Envy
Galka = Rage
Hume = (Forgive me, my memory fails me here)

I think you will find that the shards from each AA will follow the list above. Like from EV you will get "Shard of Arrogence", and MR "Shard of Envy".

Are you able to do this with an alliance? I saw a picture with an alliance of 15-16 BLMs... the screenshots floating around show a huge alliance of blms all cast Thundaga3 at the same time and took them all out.
They all cast on to the AA EV mob who is the PLD and should have the most HP.
They will use their 2hr... but fortunately a PLD's invincible does not protect him from magic :)

There are 2 different paths you can take to finishing z14.

1. You kill each of the AA's one at a time in a party of 6 (or less). You will need to kill all 5 of the AA's to get complete this mission.
2. You complete the quest Divine Might. This is where you go kill all 5 of the AA's at the same time in an alliance of 18 (or less).

If you do either one of these, you are done with z14. You can some some individually and them do Divine Might (if you want to). I had killed AA EV before finishing z14 via Divine Might.

The benefit of doing Divine Might is the earring you get for finished the quest.

I found two different instances of it happening. One was cleanly done, one was... not...

Clean one:

The other one is a video taken by a taru BLM "Fire" but I can't remember where I found it. The first attempt the AAs didn't all die, so they got slaughtered (GK did something big). If anyone wants to see it I'll host and put a link up (or if someone finds the original link that'd be better).

sleep the wyvern, GK hits pretty hard so we found it best for pld (me, @70 or 71 at the time) to kite him around with earth staff. keep the heavy hitters alive and the fight is moderately simple.

Ark Angel TT
this was definately the easiest one. he uses a few heavy scythe weapon skills but nothing devastating. the worst part is his aoe paralyze/petrify so make sure mages are kept away each time he warps to a new point in the arena. no point in kiting this guy, he doesn't run anyway..just warps from position to position so it is necessary for melee to run up on him. easy fight though (me @75pld by this point)

Ark Angel MR
this chick smoked us both attempts, its sad to see yourself turned against one of your teammates and not be able to do anything about it. she does not hit hard so kiting is not necessary. keep whatever pet she summons asleep and just beat away on her. when i was charmed the fight turned pathetic, members dropped one at a time. it seems that although she was not hitting me very hard, she was however taking the others down very fast especially when her pet wakes up to help her out. both attempts we took her to less than 10% health but i don't recall seeing perfect dodge. i would highly suggest and am most likely going to try taking an extra pld along next time. when the main tank gets charmed it is very difficult to finish the battle, therefore another voker to keep hate when original tank can no longer perform is ideal. my 2 tank theory is guaranteed, but make sure you have heavy damage to make up for the taken position.

Ark Angel HM
in each of these battles i ran in equipped in full adaman gear, earth staff, jelly ring, bomb queen ring, and other vit/hp+ gear thinking i would try tanking before resorting to kiting. this was a bad idea with HM. he hits too hard and too fast for a pld to kite him directly. he is also very dextrous and scores critical hits one after another. kite him around the room, cross reaver sucks because you will get stunned for several seconds at a time over and over during the fight. other than that he is not terribly difficult. the only thing to be nervous about is Mijin Gakure because the ******* can use it and not die. equipped without barfira and wearing a bomb queen ring (fire -75), Mijin Gakure hit me for 1320 out of my 1403hp (hume 75pld). i died along with 2 others. the other 3 fell shortly after the first 3. second attempt i made sure to kite HM away from mages/rangers when less than 1/2 health. this worked better, the drk was taken out but i survived and only took 888 damage after taking off bomb queen ring and possibly have barfira up. luck will also have something to do with this fight..

Ark Angel EV
after seeing what this guy was meleeing me for, i thought i would tank him straight up. it wasn't so bad but just as i asked the healers to keep me at full health to avoid spirits within death, boom... spirits within for a little over 1000damage and my health was not high enough. i died very early in the fight. i told everyone to run and we'd just start over but they stayed. the whm raised me in arena and i watched everyone take turns kiting EV around. spirits within is very dangerous while he is high on life so definately keep everyone's health up. it sucks to put all the effort in to taking him out then seeing him benediction to regain all of his health. his aoe silence sucks too, and does considerable damage so make sure any magic-users have a stack of echo drops or else it's kinda pointless to even enter. anyway, try to dispel him..being pld/whm he likes to buff himself with protects, en~spells, stoneskin, etc. i agree with first post in thread...gravity and kite until very low on second health bar (after benediction) and this guy probably isn't very difficult.

good luck, and if i failed to mention...gravity is always necessary in these fights. even in the case of MR and TT when you're not kiting, the decrease of their evasion is useful.

You'll want everyone 70+ for this mission. No kidding. Level 68-70 people would be in for one hell of a fight. Personally I wouldn't do this with any tank less than level 74.

Do the fights in this order:

TT
MR
HM
GK
EV

Ark Angel TT
TT is a sissy at level 75, you can pretty much engage him straight on. He does tend to teleport around at random though, so you will have to run around a lot to chase him, and mages will have to reposition quite a bit to avoid getting hit with sleepga 2 (a real killer, watch for it) or Amon Drive (also deadly if mages get hit), while still being within range to cast spells.

Ark Angel MR
MR is the first one that puts up any kind of fight. I've never seen her summon anything other than a Tiger, so sleep it and keep it away from the mages. The order of her SP attacks seems to be random. I've seen fights where she does Charm 1st (50%), and Perfect Dodge 2nd (10%). For my last battle she did Perfect Dodge 1st (50%) and Charm 2nd (10%). Charm is by far her deadliest ability, since if she charms your tank you are in a lot of trouble (and she often will charm either your tank or your primary melee damage). It's important to remember that the charmed person MUST be kept asleep or you're going to lose another person to your unbelievably well-equipped and capapble new enemy in the ring. For this reason don't diaga away any blink they may have up and just Sleep II them until MR either releases them or dies. Charm can last a long time.

Ark Angel HM

In my experience he is the 2nd toughest of the AA's and for two reasons. One of them is Cross Reaver. It HURTS. BAD. White Mages must stay on their toes here, since it requires a pretty hefty cure to recover from, on top of the fact that he likes to spam Ni level ninjitsu debuffs on your party members. The other reason he sucks is that he will Mijin Gakure once during the fight, which is pretty much a guaranteed death for one of your party members. Take a backup tank (WAR/NIN is ideal) along with you. I suggest you take him 3rd because the weakness from being raised after the fight will wear off during the run to GK. No other reason. ;)

Ark Angel GK

Stay out of range of Dragonfall if you're a mage. Otherwise he is pretty weak. Sleep the wyvern he summons, naturally. There is a considerable danger from his weaponskills though, so don't get cocky.

He will SPAM Meikyo Shisui and will attempt to perform either a Light or Darkness skillchain on your party members. There are 3 main counters to this that I know for sure work, and one which I can only speculate might work. First, a competent blinktank should be able to take zero damage from his abilities. Second, a properly timed Flash will blind him during his secod WS, so you only eat 2 unchained weaponskills, a very survivable situation. Third, you use a backup tank to voke between his skills. Worst case scenario, someone eats Detonation or Distortion, which is not that bad, but the first two strategies are superior.

Fourth, you can attempt to stun him and disrupt the timing of his weapon skills so they don't chain. I don't know that this is very effective, since all the AAs have a pretty solid magic resist, and you will still eat 3 weapon skills and at least a level 2 renkei. I would only use this strategy as a last-resort, because he can kill just about anybody if any of his darkness or light skillchains land.

Ark Angel EV

This is a training playground for the 'kiting' (english term) or 'marathon' (.jp term) method of NM tanking. A straight-up fight against EV is outright suicide. You NEED gravity here, so Spirits Within will miss while she still has high HP.

If you've never kited a mob before, here's the place to learn. Have the tank grab hate from the beginning of the fight and then Gravity EV. Let your tank build up a lot of hate before you start doing any real damage to EV (melee can chase from behind). Since La'Loff is kind of a small arena, pretty much everyone will have to be moving around during the fight, so they can stay out of range of Dominion Slash (bring echo drops!) if they're a mage or out of range of any sudden Spirits Within she may unleash (and it will come).

It is only safe to go toe-to-toe with her if she has already used Benediction and is at less than 50% HP. Spirits Within won't one-shot anyone at this point and it is safe to go all out with skillchains and strong offensive magic.

Being that the Zilart missions were in the game before the level cap got raised to 75, it has to be possible to do this mission at 70, right? Then I would venture that since the {Last Boss} comes after these guys, and should therefore be harder, it seems like you *should* be able to do this a little before 70. Maybe 68+ or so with a good, smart party? Can anyone back me up on this?

I know some people say you NEED a level 70+ party for ZM8, but we did it much lower so it makes me wonder about this one.

If anyone's beaten these guys before 70, I'd appreciate knowing the levels and party setup, thanks.

Actually ZMs were 75.

Rise of the Zilart raised the level cap to 75 from 60

It's a seperate quest called "Divine Might", where you have to fight all 5 AA's at the same time.

Just did this.

Divine Might is BY FAR harder than the individual BCs, simply because the ratios are different.

Standard ZM14 is 6 against 1 or 2 at most, and the second can be slept in every case

Divine Might is 18 against 7 total, and you kind of need a perfect alliance for this, since you will be running four simultaneous marathons while you quickly kill TT and MR.

I'll write more when it isn't 2am anymore.

Zzzzzz....

I have a question... I know we fight these one at a time but my question is, do they all have to be fought at the same time... or can we say... Fight one or two and say... come back another day to fight... Would hate to use all the 2 hours to fight the first one and have nothing for the next 4.

They can be fought one at a time. There are 5 Shimmering Circles, each one of them is a different AA fight.

There is also an "all 5 at once" battle called 'Divine Might.' It is an 18-member alliance BCNM and the rewards are those sexy earrings you see high level paladins, samurai and dark knights wearing. I am unsure if you can clear this BCNM in place of ZM14, but having 18 people doesn't make the fight easier, since all 5 AAs are there, plus 2 pets, and they all still use their full power.

To enter the 'Divine Might' BCNM trade illuminink and parchment to the well in Ro'Maeve when it fills up (midnight, full moon) and receive the key item needed to enter the BCNM. Trade it to any of the 5 shimmering circles up in the sky and enter the battle.

Ok,lets put that in a more simple way.
I got the impression from the demo of benchmark that the crystal warriors were "good guys".So why do we kill 'em?

Because there's not such thing as 'good' and 'evil'.
It's just them against us.

In this case, the Zilart and crystal warriors intend to clean out the maggots of Vana'diel (yes, that's 'us') and reclaim their planet.

Ofcourse, even a dead body is a source of life, but the Zilart aren't interested in that.
