Eshtaime's Lapidaries

"The people of Ul'dah place great emphasis on material wealth, and there are no items more indicative of this fact than the prestige wares produced at Eshtaime's Lapidaries. Crafting lore credits the eponymous Elezen Eshtaime with the creation of Hydaelyn's first timepiece, and it is her legacy and tireless dedication to beauty and perfection which is carried on there today. The training of new recruits is essential to maintaining Eshtaime's reputation, and the Goldsmiths' Guild stationed there focuses its efforts on doing so, bedecking Ul'dah's elite in their jewelled fineries all the while."

Located in Ul'dah, the Goldsmiths' Guild can be found in Eshtaime's Lapidaries, in the southern area of the Merchant Strip(Level 1). Coordinates: (6, 6)

About The Guild

"The working of precious metals and stones requires precision and control. Our tradition has yielded a variety of primary tools perfectly suited to our tasks. You must take these up before you can call yourself a true goldsmith. We appeal to sophisticated taste, and create finery to adorn the body. We take the basest of ores and refine them into the most elegant of rings, necklaces, and brooches. In time you will learn to master even our secondary tools. Part of the beauty of our craft lies in its diversity, and ofttimes different tools will yield completely different results, even when following the same pattern." - Hnaufrid

Various items can be purchased with Gil from Pamisolaux, the Goldsmiths' Guild Vendor, located within Eshtaime's Lapidaries. These include tools used by Goldsmiths, and other various goods related to Goldsmithing. A list of available wares and their prices are listed below.

Guild Facilities

Pamisolaux also offers use of the Guild's Facilities to Goldsmiths who are in need of support in their synthesis. Common, Guild, and Master's Gemmary support is available for a small fee, which increases as your Goldsmith Level increases. Currently, some recipes have a "recommended" level of support, which will have a negative impact on your synthesis if you choose not to obtain the proper level of support. On a side note, you can obtain Common Gemmary support from Repair NPCs, and various Camps across Eorzea.

Guild Tasks

"One does not simply become a goldsmith overnight! If you mean to refine your skills, perhaps you would care to undertake some tasks in the name of Eshtaime's Lapidaries. There is no finer way to master our trade." ~ Elecotte

Guild Tasks are simple quests in which the guild requests the adventurer to bring various items to the guild in exchange for a reward. Currently only Level 1 and Level 10 Guild Tasks are available. The requested item changes daily, and the reward varies. (Gil, Shards, etc.) You can find out which Tasks are available by either talking to Elecotte or by examining Task Boards around Ul'dah.

Guild Quests

As you level your Goldsmithing, you will be able to undertake various quests that will require your talents as a Goldsmith. These quests follow a storyline that revolves around the Goldsmiths' Guild and your role as a Goldsmith in Eorzea. Although an awful lot of work may be involved in completing these quests, the rewards are well worth the effort. Below is a brief summary of the available quests, with links to lead you to their respective pages, where you can find more specific information, if you require assistance in completing your assigned task.
