Jobs (FFXI)

Adventurers can practice the disciplines of many jobs, each with its own set of skills and abilities.

Basic Jobs

These are the six jobs that are available when creating a new character.

• Warrior
• Monk
• Thief
• Black Mage
• Red Mage
• White Mage

(History buffs will note that these are the same six jobs available to starting characters in the original Final Fantasy game.)

Advanced Jobs

These jobs are not available initially, but each is unlocked by completing a quest in the game. These quests may be undertaken after attaining level 30 on another job. Details of the job quests can be found in the wiki entry for each job.
