Aspects as relating to the Dragonflight
Also referred to as the Great Aspects, the Titans, a race of extremely powerful, godlike beings, chose each of the Dragon Aspects to lead the Dragonflights and watch over ancient Kalimdor which was, at the time, the only continent found on Azeroth.
These mighty Titans then empowered five dragons with powers specific to each of them. These dragons were thereafter called the Aspects. The Aspects are also known as the leaders of the five dragonflights: Red, Black, Green, Blue and Bronze. The Aspects are:
- Alexstrasza the Life-Binder - The red behemoth chosen by Eonar to safeguard the living creatures of Azeroth.
- Neltharion the Earth-Warder - The powerful black wyrm chosen by Khaz'goroth and given dominion over both the earth and deep places of the world. He was driven mad by the whisperings of the Old Gods and managed to drive the blue dragonflight to near extinction. He is now known as Deathwing.
- Ysera the Dreamer - The lithe green dragon and Alexstrasza's younger sister chosen by Eonar to watch over the growing wilds of the world from her verdant realm, the Emerald Dream.
- Malygos the Spell-Weaver - The blue dragon chosen by Norgannon as the guardian of all that is magic.
- Nozdormu the Timeless One - The massive bronze dragon chosen by Aman'Thul to guard time itself and ward the pathways of destiny and fate.
