Description
This extensive network of tunnels lying beneath the Wajaom Woodlands is covered in subterranean plants, ranging from vines to ferns, fungi, and moss, giving the caverns a unique vibrancy unseen on the surface. The Aydeewa Subterrane was once a site of the ancient Olduum civilization until sinking almost completely into the ocean. However, traces of the past can still be seen in the stone pillars and altars scattered about the area. The Empire of Aht Urhgan maintained the caverns until recently, when the increasing beastman threat forced them to withdraw. Now the Aydeewa Subterrane is plagued with Qiqirn and Mamool Ja thieves looking for treasure among the ruins.
Points of Interest
- The platform at H-9 on the first map is used to unlock the Blue Mage job in the quest An Empty Vessel.
- The exit to Wajaom Woodlands at J-8 on the third map leads to the area where Hydra can be found.
- The ??? at G-10 on the third map is involved in the quest What Friends Are For.
- Black mages can solo experience points from ranged attack Qiqirns in this zone.

How DO you get to these areas? i cant find out how to get to the areas in the nex expansion as this like this one. and if i did make it there, what level would i have to be to fish there without getting botherd by monsters
On ffxiclopedia.org they have Defoliators listed here as being able to level you from 59-63 and 61-65. Why are there 2 different levels for these? Are the mobs different levels in different areas of the dungeon?

I think this place is great. The Crawlers and Spiders (Diremites) look fantastic.
There are some 10(ish) entrances here in total from Wajoam Woodlands & BThickets.
Many Camps can be found here to take you through to lvl66. i did have to ask a LVL66 to leave our pty at a Diremites camp I found here as the chains dropped from 150-200 to 100-150.
I have found the lvling to be fast and i have even hit a couple of EXP Chain 6's here doing Distortion skillchain with a mnk-thf, blm & rdm at the start of battle :)
Enjoy - this place is 10times more fun than Crawlers nest!

Has anyone else noticed the tiny spiders hanging from the roof of Aydeewa? I was wondering if they aggro like the Fleas, but was too scared to try.
Actually, I'm fairly certain that these are Chigoes... I was running around there for some quest, checked the floor for chigoes, dropped invis... the thing dropped from the ceiling and ended my adventures....

I had a good time here with our experience points party with 59-62 group I had.
~Puktraps don't aggro or link. Just be wary because they spam Soporific (aoe sleep) (hint~hint Soporific...BLU), AND, if you have a ninja tank, be ready to paralyna.
~Crawlers aggro and link. Same as any other place you'd run into (except for worker crawlers in crawler's nest, which only link).
I had PLD and NIN tank for this place, I prefer to use NIN tank for this area.
So as soon as I find out more on this place I'll post it when I have the chance!

yea i have lvled here to 61 after that it gets a bit slow so i would recommend for those over 60 to hop a boat and head nashmeu (spelling)

This place has really nice music.
was just wondering if anyonehas tried to exp in this area as of being around lvl 57? The mobs seem to be a lil bit harder then what they are in the woodlands, but not by much. I have only seen ppl in there for skill ups and or quests and was just curious to know if anyone has tried this yet.

Before you start you need a Cutscene from Aydeewa sub. Start by heading to "Wajaom Woodlands"(E-10). Once you zone to Aydeewa sub. head down in (H-8) to (H-9) and drop there. You will see either you go right or left.
Does'nt really matter, both take you to(G-10),
but if turn right, then you have to turn left.
Once in the temple, head to the stairs in (G-10), you will get CS and upstairs theres a ???. (later, you will be back to check the ??? to finish quest) *warning*[mobs agro to both sight and sound, after CS, invisible wears off, and then possible agro, so please be prepare]
After CS, head to Nashmau and talk to Tsetseroon (G-6) in front of a covered stall, on the upper level next to Merchant Yoyoroon. Quest is called "What Friends are For" and he will ask you for a "Cobalt Jellyfish" and a "Tin Ore"
(you can buy jellyfish in Manaclipper to Nashmau, and Ore in "Smithin Guild"(H-9) in "Al Zahbi")
Once you trade Items and get the "key item" from him, head back to Aydeewa and check the ??? for the final CS. After CS u get the "Map for Aydeewa Subterrane" (if u didn't get map there, because of your answers in the CS, head to Nashmau to get map. anyway you end quest there and get Imp. bronz piece if u got map before.)

Where is the map for this place? I am sooo lost here.
This place is sort of the spawn of Boyahda Tree and Crawlers Nest in terms of looks.
The music is pretty nice but eerie.
