Description
The bustle of the fisherman's guild and the clockwork splashes of landing airships are common sounds in Port Windurst. Many new adventurers in Vana'diel who are aligned with the Federation of Windurst take their first steps in this zone.
Port Windurst is home to several federation establishments including the Air Travel Agency, the Consulate of Bastok, the Fisherman's Guild, the Fishmonger Landing, the Orastery, Shiva's Gate and several warehouses.
Points of Interest
- You can warp to Windurst Walls by talking to Machu-Kuchu on the second floor of the Orastery at (E-7). *To get outside to West Sarutabaruta, head west to Shiva's Gate.
- The Star Onion Brigade can be found behind the warehouse at POS.
- New players can buy cheap armor at the shop at POS.
- The taru outside the mog house in this zone can warp players to outposts where they have completed supply quests.

wtf is with the light house at the bottom left hand corner...it creeps me out, I see no way of to get to it or a purpose for it. I just noticed it once checking out my map of windy port >.>;;
For all those weirdos who keep asking about Airship passes, listen up!
1. The airship pass is given to you for FREE when you reach Rank 5.
2. If you feel you need an airship pass BEFORE Rank 5, you must pay 1/2 a million gil to an NPC in Port JEUNO, not here.
3. There is no boat here. Only airships.

I've got to know if theres a boat in port windurst. Not an airship but a boat. Someone told me that i could find a boat to travel small distances.
I only know of one boat persay and that would be the selbina mhuara boat. There is various ferrys in area like carpenters landing that move you small distances. Some info reguarding where you need to go would be helpful. If you are trying to get to the dunes for subjob and lvl 10-20 you must go there via boat in mhuara. From wind woods go east sarta north to canyon then east to bubu penn. once in penn cross map going east then south to mhuara. Boat ride is 100 gil and if you are of and level lower than 37 I strongly recommend hiding in the cargo room on the lower floor of ship. There is a sea horror that kills most swiftly, not to mention random pirate attacks. You could also make a party and get your sub job in bubu penn but very few people do it.

to change alligence you must go into windhurst walls, and then into heavens tower, in there you should find a room with 3 tarus behind a desk, one of them asks you if you want to switch your alligence, but this will not work if you are currently involved in a mission

I tried to find this on the forums, but I fear I wasn't able to. Where would one find a place to buy Linkshells? I'm a citizen of Windurst, though I am currently residing in Jeuno. Where's the closest place to go?
:O Weird goblin rock shop sited! It is under the pier, there is steps leading there. It is weird. ^^ Right next to the guy who likes the mandragora items. Hehe, he sells some pretty neat rocks, if only I knew what they were for. :P
It's open from 10 AM to 10 PM (10 - 22).
i know there is a couple great places to fish in bastok, but are there any here in windurst? i travelled here from bastok just last night and wanted to level my THF around windy, while trying to up my fishing skill. any ideas?

Is Kususu's Hoodoos the only place to buy lower-level spells in Windurst? Or is there a place to find Bind, Bio, etc...?
Machu-Kachu on top of Orastery (D-7) can teleport you back to Windurst Walls Auction Area at (J-11) Once there you can talk to Komulili and he can teleport you too back to Port Windurst.

Talk to the NPC standing just outside your "house" and they will setup a rent-a-house for you
And airpasses as far as I know can only be obought in Jeuno. for 500k :) or some massive multi hour and alliance quest. otherwise, try the "Travel Agency? M-7 :P
