Description

Located to the east of the Kingdom of San d'Oria, this vast, dense woodland is often shrouded in darkness--even during the day. Before the construction of a main road that connected the adjoining areas, travelers and merchants often shunned the Jugner Forest; all would fear the ferocious beasts that lurked in the shadows of the mighty trees. Even today, only a large caravan protected by hired mercenaries could survive an attack from the Orcs and Goblin raiders that prey on passersby.

I think I saw him somewhere north of the outpost on the edge of the hills. I could be thinking of elsewhere, but I believe it was Jugner.
A tiger story

So a friend and I were out hunting tigers at the cave spawn, and having no problems (30/15 rdm/thf 31/15 rdm/whm). We dropped some fangs and hides, then my friend had to log. I wanted to see how tough the pair of tigers would be to solo so I hung out and killed a couple pairs. All well and good.

Midway through the 3rd pair I noticed something near the entry to the cave "Hmmm, another tiger hunter" I thought.

Wrong.

A creepy sound and a second look revealed a bogy sitting by the entrance. I quickly finished the 1st tiger, then moved away at top speed, trying to get clear of the cave before the 2nd spawned. The bogy aggroed and immediately started casting a variety of nasty spells. I started pounding it, as it checked easy. Unfortunately it had ice spikes up, so I was taking damage as well as giving.

It looked like a close but winnable fight until the second tiger aggroed. That combined with drain/aspir from the bogy was too much. By the time I dropped the bogy was down to a sliver, and the tiger was feeding on my bones. :(

Conclusion: 1 tiger and 1 bogy are ok. 2 tigers are ok. 2 tigers and 1 bogy are not ok.

I went to farm here earlier, and I noticed a "Goblin Footprint" near a large tree, next to the La Thiene entrance. I examined it, and it said "There's nothing out of the ordinary here." I tried trading things to it, but it didn't accept crystals or beastcoins. Does anyone know what this is for?

I've seen footprints like that before, no idea what to do with them, the one in Ghelsba Outpost sang. I know this probably doesn't help you, just thought I'd mention that there are more of these around.

Jugnar/ Tomb Connection
# Feb 16 2004 at 12:50 PM Rating: Default
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get past the blockage around the lake in Jugnar Forest. You can connect to the tomb (and vice versa) but I can't get past the fallen trees and rocks around the lake. I figure there has got to be some way to do it, otherwise why would they have the connection there.

Tigers?

H-12 is a perfect spot to hunt tiger drops. 2 tigers spawn there every 5 minutes.

There's another similar spot somewhere else in the forest, but I haven't been able to spot it since accidentally finding it much earlier. Would anyone happen to have the location of this other tiger spawn?

This is true. I just wished I had read your post before camping there last night and getting half of my party killed by those two tigers. When there's two mobs and they surprise you, kinda hard to keep the hate of the casters.

Be aware that there is a bogy spawn at night right next to the tiger cave and another across the stream. I believe only one or the other spawns but the bogy across the stream will move to the nearer side. Sound/low hp detect and aggro. Bogy's are no fun.

Check out this web page. It's a Japanese translated site, and it has everything you'll ever need to know about logging points. Even has the Kazham Jungles. Enjoy!

I can also confirm there are very sparse logging points at I-6 and J-11/K-11. J and K have a total of 4 spots to log there and 2 spots for
I-6. Good luck waiting for respawns though.

I can confirm the J-6 logging points. Got several Walnuts from them. Broke a lot of hatchets though.

when i looked, there were scattered groups of logging points in three areas. The first are surrounding a hill at F-9 / G-9. There are also logging points at G-7 and more at around J-6 I think.

change to a lvl one job and run, i mean if your lvl 20, the things thgat aggro will kill you anyhow, so sety ur job to a lvl 1 job and set ur homepoint at the outpost.. no exp loss when you die, thats hwat i did

where is the exit from the king's tomb located?
RE: map
# Nov 25 2003 at 6:50 AM Rating: Default
the exit from the kings tomb is in F-5, but is blocked on all sides,

we exited form the kings tomb to here but couldnt find a way to proceed. there were rocks and logs blocking progress that went from the lake to the zone walls on both sides of the exit. dont know if its a place for a set piece or what but we traced the whole wall and couldnt find a way through.

Map for this area was purchased in Junon, along with a few others, and was either 300 or 600 gil... the Windurst area map was there also, and is the remainder of the two mentioned prices.

When I bought a map of San Doria region, this zone was included in that map. The map was 200 gil at Bastok Markets.
