Description

Secluded off of the Mighoya Dunes, on the eastern coast of Buburimu Peninsula, the labyrinth is filled with a huge variety of different types of animals. Dangers abound in this zone, as it is also home to Goblins, and many adventurers who wander in there fail to wander back out again.

Party @ 42

One of my parties went here, and it was great exp. We were chaining Cockatrice out here and having no problems. Except when we found out they can use sound vacuum and silence us poor mages. So, bring echo drops if you're going.

found a great exp place for lv48-52 exp.

H-7 tunnel camp, you have 1 gob that pops in that hallway, so you have to be vigilant for pop.
Otherwise you will be fighting Flying Mantas and Goblins from the big room.

exp ranges from 50 to 200+, we had chain 10's+.

Bring a warp if possible.

mantas aggro but do not link.

If you fight goblin hunter, make sure to pull him deep into tunnel, he likes to stay outside of tunnel, lol.

Maybe its just me or maybe not but not many ppl on shiva that i know of go to LoZ to lvl. IDK why but thats just how it is. Last weekend i got my first party there at lvl 58-59. now our pt wasnt the most standard but it had the necesities PLD,WHM,BRD,MNK,BST,?. i forgot the last one. neway we go to fight toramas and i put my exp band on. when the first one dies i didnt know what to expect. For the next five minutes i had to clean my shirt from all the drool. 250xp on the first mob. we start chaining them easily and get 450 max exp at exp chain 3. killing these things at roughly 2min each wit 1min downtime. I found my new home

Learn from my mistake when trying to obtain the map from the chest:

If you currently have the quest "A Test of True Love" from Bastok, where you have to gather the 3 pages for the Bard in Port Bastok...you'll get the page "L'Ancienne" first before the map! ><

Since I have been leveling up RDM here for a bit & had a chest key in my MH, I decided to go for the map. Found the chest easily, though I had to escape out of there due to gob aggro. Sooo disappointed when I got that page instead of the map. Hopefully I can get another key from next lvl up session. /em crosses fingers ^^

Although if you have the quest activated, there's not much you can do about it, you'll just have to get a 2nd key in order to get the chest. (After you use the 1st one of course)

Came here at 46 with a Trio. West altepa beetles were T and we needed some higher mobs. I brought them here. Leeches were mostly EM and a rare T(45-47), gobblins where T, and cockatrice where VT-IT, Mushussu IT. When you zone theres 3 gobbys in your way, be sure to bring jug pets, or Run fast to get a leech. We camped just before the 1st Cockatrice room; nice spot, but a wind elemental pops on windy weather. Even with Elemental hovering about we still brounght in the XP; an occasional move into enemy territory to cast spells.
-leeches will itimidate the Cockatrice which is NICE ^_^
-leeches wont argo, but everything else does. Goblin+cockatrice = sight and Mushussu by sound.
The Scorp isnt to hard to take down, but we avoided it.
We also got 2 keys while here for a couple hours. I came back later (higher job) and found a chest. I now have a Map.

I was here from lvl 44-almost 46(We stopped just short of me getting it :X 800 xp short). Anyways, yeah this place is a great place to lvl if you have a really good party, the mob would continually pop and we would just grab and kill.
In a party of lvl 44-46 I would suggest fighting the cockatrices(Thats what we did), the higher lvl gobs just continue to spam bomb toss and it takes longer to kill them, they also seem to lose interest in the tanks a lot more frequently then the cockatrices.

For lvl 42(Since its a static I'm assuming everyone is lvl 42) you should probably just stick to killing the gobs at the entrance until people start to lvl. After you reach lvl 44 or so(I would suggest actually being lvl 46 before fighting the cockatrices, unless you feel you can handle random pops because no matter where you camp in there a cockatrice will pop in the middle of it :X)

But yeah the best camp spot was to sneak/invis each member and camp in a tunnel. The back part of the tunnel there are tonnes of goblins and cockatrices on the other side tonnes of cockatrices but the goblins are far enough away that you shouldn't have to worry about bad pulls.

So yeah I really suggest this place for lvls 44-48 or so, I know I'm going to suggest this place to my next party ^^

I hope my post was clear and helps

Got one off of the Cockatrice too.
Level 61-65 area also...
# Sep 30 2004 at 9:20 AM Rating: Default
Being on Shiva now, its quite common for parties from 61-65 kill the Torama inside and camp them. With a high level melee like 62 or 63, and a decent paladin, you can get the usual high level exp. Only thing is, those kitties always like to paralyze and silence, so a whm is essential here. Ose is in there too, if anyone wants an Assault Jerkin or Ose Whiskers for synthing Lightning bows...

Anyone know where I can get a map of this place?

Also, does this lead to the Buburimu stone monument for the selbina quest? If not, could someone please tell me how to get it.

I just did that monument for the Explorer's Footprints quest and also went in the maze. I checked the first mob which was a goblin robber and decided since I didn't have the map it was probably not the right place and I would die if I stayed there. Anyway, the monumet you want is a little way up on the same side as the maze opening. I saw it from a little distance as it stands all by itself. Hope this helps.

Once you get to the first room with the Cockatrices, go to the right hallway. No Elementals have spawned there since we starting camping there.

Occassionally a Cockatrice will though.

Great place to level =)

This a pretty nice place to camp. I was here last night with a 42-45 party. We were chaining the Goblins into the Cockatrice and getting some good exp. It does have one down side though.. there is a pesky air elemental that spawns in the Main hall way that can be up to like level 55 for what it seems. maybe alot higher.

Pros: No one on siren camps these yet.
Cons: That damned air elemental.

Anyone know where to get the map to this place?

Found a Onzozo chest key? Can it be like Quicksand cave that the map is from a chest in there?
Or is the key for some kind of funny quest?

Soloed around in there and goblins dropped Stun, absorb AGI, STR, VIT so far...

Coockatrice dropped the key for me.

gobs cons as even->toughs and coockatrice as VT, leeches as decent->even, scorpions as VT, tigers as IT, at lev 48. Will be venture around some more but most stuff aggro so kind of dangerous:) Never went deeper than the first 2 rooms.

But it seems like a very funny place to fight at.

stumbled across this last night. our tank took 120dmg from the first gob arrow so we all ran. poor mages didn't make it out.

It is located at K-6 in Buburimbu Peninsula. Down at the left side of the beach, it is not "spotable". One have to follow the shoreline left and one will find the cave.

I hear this is a great place to go from 43 to 48 in, but little info on how to get there. I believe it is found somewhere inside the Yhotor Jungle, but at what cords?

This is a great place to level. Went there last night on an invite not even nowing where the place was. Figured I could farm a little and it was on my way home to Windy. Our group was 43-44 Whm,blm, rdm(me),Pld,Rng,Mnk. We used senak and invisible to get into the corridor connecting the first and second big room around H9-I9. We would pull Goblins and Cockatrice and get up to chain #4. I went from ~900tnl 44 to ~1200 into lvl 46. Thats about 8-9K in 2-3 hours. No mishaps. Couple of pops in the tunnel which our black slept easily. Even took a 5min break about 3 different times after losing a chain. The white mage and I had such an easy time that we both even meleed a little when the pull would stop in the wrong place. I usuall attack my target so as not to miss cast a spell. I use PS2 and with fast fingers I dont use my macros to often so this makes it a little more important to be in attack mode so you dont link something in with a debuff.
Hope to go back soon for lvls 46-48 as mentioned.

And yes we all got a key off the cockatrice. Next time back I'll sneak around and get a map. ^&^

Went here last night with level 44 static PLD, DRK, SAM, THF, RDM, WHM.

Exp from the cockatrices was very good with little downtime. WHM is necessary to remove petrification and silence from the tank. Beware of the Goblin Traders as their pet leeches will link with every other leech in the room when you try to pull them. Beware of the air elemental that spawns in the tunnel between the first and second rooms - H/I-9 is not a safe place to camp!

You are thinking about sea serpent's grotto

Onzozo can be found off the western beach in buburimu
RE: Where?
# Aug 12 2004 at 6:51 PM Rating: Decent
It's actually off Mighoya Dunes which is the eastern beach in Buburimu Peninsula. Accessed from the sea around K-6.
