Description

Overlooking the vast seas of Gugru Blue, the windswept land mass of Buburimu Peninsula is a vast hunting ground for low-level adventurers. The peninsula -- characterized by rocky beaches and naturally lighted rock formations -- is home to dhalmels, goblins, yagudo, crawlers, mandragoras, rabbits and numerous other types of wildlife.

Adventurers of all levels visit Buburimu Peninsula to take advantage of the zone's easily accessible outpost warp. The peninsula is also the gateway to Labyrinth of Onzozo and Bibiki Bay, as well as the lazy port city of Mhaura.

I run a Garrison linkshell on Garuda, and we were interested in this area, but I can't seem to pinpoint what the Garrison item is. Anyone have any information regarding this?

Anyone on Garuda who enjoys doing Garrisons, send me a tell ;p

That would be the Goblin's Rabbit...and I've never seen it. I've never seen anything resembling that...so I hope you aren't farming the bugger.

He's listed as a PET..so he needs a BST mob to bring him up. If you ever see him...run like hell. That is..if he exists.

The LS people
# Aug 14 2005 at 3:18 AM Rating: Decent
ok the Reason the people on Odin Surver, know as the LS people come to Bubu is because of the gobs, leaches, and air elementals. Remember goblin mask can be Dysynthed into Glass fiber, which goes for 25-29k per stack in Jeuno. I should know I'm on Odin surver too. Second At the moment Beastman bloods sell for 70-90k a stack in jeuno and the beachs have alot of leaches to go around. So it is very proftable to farm here and they are very smart players, and fast too.

Bibiki Bay is in the SW corner at E-11. You have to go through the secret beach for Bard quest, and go through another tunnel to zone

Actually, E-11 is very far from the zone to Bibiki Bay. Get to the big beach in H-9 G-9 area and follow the ocean west; go south and around the mountain at the bottom of G-9 (northern tip of G-10); then enter a cave at the northeast corner of F-10. RATE IT UP
Bebiki Bay ??? where is it?

No lizards for people from levels9-13. Only 2 zoning points. The dunes is close to two regiens. Bubu is close to only windy. Ad alot of low leveled people dont wanna make the trip by boat i guess. ^.^
Air Elementals
# Nov 03 2004 at 4:06 AM Rating: Decent
I've started fishing Shall Shells here, and noticed that occasionally Air Elementals spawn. I figure since I'm here anyway I might as well hunt elementals whenever they show up. If anyone could tell me some locations (particularly close to the south) I would really appreciate it. The only one I've seen seems to spawn around H-7 and I-7 somewhere.

EDIT: Heh, I may end up answering my own question soon, but there's also one that spawns on the piece of land between Mighoya Dunes and the lighthouse.

Two places I know of where you can fish without aggro;

1. The cliffs in the top-left corner of F-10. Not sure if you can fish up monsters here or not.

2. The entrance to the Labyrinth of Onzozo at K-6. Bogys spawn on the beach at night but if you stay by the tunnel they wont come close enough to bother you. You also won't fish up monsters here.
Money Making Place?
# Aug 25 2004 at 7:11 PM Rating: Decent
On my Server; Odin. Almost everyone in this area is High Lvl or Anon. Normally that wouldn't seem weird but it seems to be where the LS ppl camp. If you don't know the LS people are gil sellers from China.

So any clue if there's something to make money off of here? Or why else they'd be here?

It woulld have to be the Logging Points, with a number of players you could camp almost every one. Logs drop include ebony, etc... 4 of the logs found here are 5k gil + logs.
Monument!!
# Aug 18 2004 at 1:25 PM Rating: Default
Finally, everyone, I think I have found the entrance to the cave leading to the island with the stone monument on it.

Now, I'm not 100% sure this is it, I haven't had time to check it out since that damn maintenance is on right now on Siren server (Damn you 8 hour maintenance!!!!!)

Anyway, here's a link to the map with the *possible* cave entrance.

http://ffxi.killvoid.com/maps/images/buburimu.jpg

It's located in the northwest corner at F-6, it's all in japanese so i can't even tell if that's the right spot or not, but give it a try anyway.

I ran around there before looking for an entrance, but ended up getting turned around, didn't make it to that spot...there's a way around there though, I think you need to go behind the big mound of rock at G-6 and go into F-6 there.

Anyway, if anyone gets this and checks it out, please confirm it, I'm not gonna be able to get on when the maintenance is complete, but I'll probably be able to check this out.

Hope I'm right, good luck to anyone who tries this out.

Now, all I need to do is get to that Rolanberry monument. lol.

*Edit* Ok, for those of you who need the Rolanberry monument. (sorry if this is a little off the topic of Buburimu, but hey, people need this info.) It's obviously at K-11 behind the big crag-like "spine." now, most of you are saying "But, Dranoface, How do I manage myself to the other side of this "spine"?

Now, thanks to this site, and a little bit of digging through tons of posts, I've discovered how to get the monument here.

At the eastern most point on the spine, the ground is just high enough to climb over it, so just grab a lvl 1 job, because you may get aggro from weapons...be on your gaurd if you don't want to take the time to grab a lvl 1 job.

That monument is at the very back wall, right in the middle.

anyway, have fun with your "new-map fresh" crawler's nest map....it's pretty much useless..hahaha...to me anyway.

Ok, that's all for me, bye now!

*2nd Edit* ummm, the entrance to the cave to get the monument in bub, very well may be the bubu entrance to shakrami....so....check it out..lol.

*Edit #3* OK, this will be my final edit. Turns out, the bubu monument is located on the mainland at J-5, you just can't target it very easily, just keep tabbing around for it.

Have you even been to Buburimu???

The monument is indeed in J-5, but I've got more trouble clicking the Lower Jeuno AH than this stone...

http://ffxi.killvoid.com/maps/images/buburimu.jpg
F-6 entrance to Shakrami
K-6 entrance to Onzozo
F-9 the song runes for BRD quest
J-5 the stone monument.

Don't post this kind of information until you've confirmed it yourself... and EDIT the damn info, don't just addendum an edit..

Leeches?
# Jul 30 2004 at 10:29 PM Rating: Decent
Can a lvl 30 RDM and a lvl 30 blm take on the Leeches here easily with out having to worry about dieing? cause me and my friend are going to get our rubys together once we turn lvl 30 very soon.
RE: Leeches?
# Aug 15 2004 at 2:05 AM Rating: Default
You should be fine taking on the leeches here, just be careful of linking.

If you get more then 2 on you, chances are, you're gonna have to zone.

At lvl 28 they were easy prey, and at lvl 30 i could solo them extremely easily in valkurm without getting hurt, they're the same lvl in bubu, so you should be fine.

Where is the monument?
# Apr 20 2004 at 2:22 PM Rating: Good
I know it is supposed to be at J5. But I can't find it there. Is it on that little sliver of land in the north? How do you get to that sliver. Heeeeeeelp. :)
RE: Where is the monument?
# Jan 10 2005 at 6:13 PM Rating: Decent
to get to the monumnt you don't need to get to that little sliver of land. all it takes is going to J-5 on the bigger part of land and it's right there. lol i didn't see it the first 4 times i went there but i saw this *** galka and he pointed to it. XD it was right there.. guess i was the dumb one. better if you go in the day time so you don't make a fool out of yourself like me. ^_^ oh and i'm in ODin so if it's diff for your server then umm well yea.. i can't help you there. but it's there positive. if you know who to get the one for sauromogue then reply
ANYONE NOW PLEASE IN NEED THE GIL lol.

How do you get to the monument? Can you target it from land or do you have to make it over to that little sliver of land there? I really want to finally get this quest done, and this monument is pissing me off..lol. Please help me get this thing.
RE: Where is the monument?

It is there. I guess you can't target it from Chocobo cause it is out in broad daylight. Go figure.
