Here's what happened...

I was in Dangruf Wadi farming gausebit grasses (I'm a 30 WHM / 15 THF), and while I was fighting one of the wadi hares, the Geyser Lizard aggroed onto me. At first I didn't even know it was a NM, I just thought it was a plain (though large) lizard. I finished up the rabbit and conned the lizard, which was impossible, of course. Well, I freaked out and started casting my buffs/debuffs. Ten minutes, ~300mp, seven Seraph Strikes, and one Benediction later, I got the drop. It aggroed onto me in the northeastern corner of (E-7), and had I gone in prepared it would have been easy easy. As it was I started off in the yellow on life, and without my buffs on, so it wasn't too easy. Hope that helps someone!

Fought him today after, one day i waited 2 hours for him to show up and he never did.. so I just went there one day to see if he might be there and he was. He is really tough I had to use my 2hr and drain at level 34 to beat him, he just has so much HP, he is about 4x the size of regular lizards. He only dropped a fire crystal :(.. He shows up when the geyser erupts? which geyser? I didnt see a geyser there..

Ok, i camped him for a bit... He appears when the geyser errupts. Will wander around for a few minutes then disappear, i think he was there about 5 minutes, maybe slightly longer. Killed him once, no drops. However, he does Disappear after a few minutes.

I was killing monsters in E-7 for a long time, waiting for the NM to spawn. I killed every enemy in the area, and left to visit the other one, with the leechers/muggers/gamblers. I cleaned out that area, and went back to E-7.

I see the lizard. He's pretty big. HP is at 356/688 from killing all of those enemies, so i turn around to med. Turn back around.. NM is gone. Wtf? There is one other player in the area, and he is level 17. No way someone else killed it.

How can it link if its an NM and aggro? hrmm.

There is a very important distinction between linking and aggro. For example, Robber Crabs aggro but do not link, which is very important when pulling one out of a group of crabs (if they linked, you'd have a horde of crabs going after you). It's the same for undead (at least most). Basically, with this NM, that means that if you pull one of his buddies, he'll chase after you even if you don't go near him (but the lizard you aggroed does)

The other lizards in the area will link to him if they see you poking him with sharp objects.

I found this NM today for the first time. He was at E-7 wondering around. At first I was perplexed as to why a lizard was in this area, but then I ran up to see it was NM and got all excited. After a full rest I decided to fight him. Was able to solo him at level 33. No drop at all, but did get 43 xp. :)

Where is he, and what do you have to do to get him to spawn?

Spawn is totally random. I saw it once in Dangruf Wadi....not that I had a chance if killing it. ;)
