If you kill get please post your info on him, I have some questions about it, also if you can post it's spawn point or pop time.

What I'm wondering is:

Does this cactuar drop some sort of special food item or a bandana or would I need to steal it?

1/7 on him. Always popped somewhere in the upper portion of F-11 within 1-2hours. Was also killing all the cactuars in that area as they spawned.

[Edit]: 2/8 now. Went back for a friend, but this time, doing the exact same thing as before, he took 3 hours to spawn, stupid cactuar.

what is the rate?

last night while doing a sky run.. on our way to kill the pot.. we run past him.. i spam the party chat about this being a nm.. we hop off our chocos and commence obliterating this guy.(chump) pt setup was 64blm 68blm 74mnk 66sam(me) 68 brd.. the mnk tanked of course... he did asuran fists for 1183 i did tachi:gekko for 798 with darkness chain of 798 nearly whiping this guy out. two needles and a bag of stems.

so i read up the other day and went camping. killed cactys in E,F, and G11. took about an hour to spawn both times. dropped on the second kill. the cactys are annoying to kill, 1,000 needles sucks >(

Got this guy tonight with a friend after a good 3-4 hours of camping. I'm not quite certain of the range of his spawn area, but if you're the only one killing them and you dont have widescan, I recommend staying in a small area for sanity's sake. So many times I doubted whether we had somehow missed a spawn or something... anyway after at least 3 and a half hours he finally pops and after some... complications, he is eventually killed...

2 needles, 1 bag of stems...

could at least drop some gil buddy...

Anyway, I recommend staying in the green area at F-11 and killing the one that pops in there, and the 2 that spawn to the near east. For us, he spawned in that green area and a BLM i saw camping it was staying in that area too...

Also, on a side note, I convinced my MNK friend to eat a ginger cookie for the fight, he gained Plantoid Killer effect ^_^ Only kicked in once, but still amusing/slightly useful. Idk if we killed him too quick but I didn't see a 2hr of any kind, I was expecting 100 fists. 1000 needles once, rest of the time just used Needleshot. My attempts to sleep him didn't work, but Bind stuck for anywhere from 2-8 seconds approx.

Also gives up on chasing rather easily, I was able to lose hate by running away and turning a corner. Bring lots of friends to eat 1000 needles!

Synpopsis: So I'd say that his upper range of spawn time if that's the case can be ~4 hours, unless he's solely lottery, in which case he just sucks. Not a hard fight for 60+ x2 or more

Something new to camp, w00ter!

Now to find some pets that can handle getting hit this much...maybe beetles will work out (with my duo partner)

I soloed this as 75RDM/BLM last night. I was choco'in to the Oasis and a friend saw him and said "oo look NM", im like "no way, lemme try"...
She stayed on choco, I got off.

Fight lasted about 5-6 minutes. He is easily paralyzed and has terrible Accuracy. Used 1000 Needles twice during fight and completely buffed took me down to about 800HP.

Keep him Blinded and Paralyzed and hes not that hard. As a RDM keep Stoneskin, Blink and Phalanx up and he'll miss 1/2 the time and hit for 0 the other half. Keep HP above 1000 to be on the safe side and your home free.

Dropped 2 Cactuar Needles, 1 Bag of Stems. He was spotted at G-11 but I dunno if that is his pop place for this was my 1st encounter with him.
