I lost my tally for how many times I did Nanaa Mihgo's quest, then decided to check Jeuno's "rice ball" price... 155! I was excited, so I went to Norg... and couldn't get the quest. I talked to this fame NPC, he said "I think you are... Mich? No, Talias. You need to do more work to get your name recognized." (paraphrase, lol) So does this mean I have 0 fame or what? I know for a fact I did the Necklace quest at least 40 times already!
If i remember correctly, to me he said something like "Jim?...No, Firebird(me)! Ah, i hear your name spread around Norg some...Keep it up!" if this helps (i hope it does) YW^^!
Rabao fame is the same as Selbina fame, not Tenshodo (Norg) fame.
The only quests that raise Tenshodo fame are the Tenshodo Membership quest, Samurai Flag quest, the various ninja scroll quests, and the 4 repeatable quests: - Shady Business in Port Bastok - Mihgo's Amigo in Windurst Woods - Brugaire Consortium in Port San d'Oria - Black Market in Norg
Also the Leviathan quest and the various other quests involving Norg and the Tenshodo (such as the quest during the Rank 4 missions...) raise your fame. It's quite a bit more than most people expect.
I'm at a loss as to how to get Fame in Norg...please direct me to some quests, as I have GREAT fame in Bastok and SAndy (thanks to La Theine Cabbages), and like, no fame in Norg. Thanks for your help. I have read about Yagudo Necklace and Zinc Ore quests, but not who the givers are or WHERE they are. Thank You!
1. Shady Business - Go to Port Bastok, into Warehouse 2 at (F-6), and talk to Talib. After talking to him, trade him 4 zinc ores, and he gives you 350 gil each time you do so.
2. Mihgo's Amigo - Go to Windurst Woods and run up to the the platform at (J-3) to talk to Nanaa Mihgo. After you talk to her, trade her 4 Yagudo Bead Necklaces and she gives you 200 gil each time.
i got there with level 7 fame =-O... must have done zinc ore quest a few too many times... anyways, he says: Arkenstone! Theres hardly a soul in Norg that doesn't know yer bloody name. Oh, Sorry 'bout that. Me mum never did teach me no manners. I'll watch me damn mouth...I mean, I'll watch me mouth from now on.
