This is to clarify any confusion for anyone who wishes to change their allegiance for whatever reason.

1) You CAN'T switch nations if you have a Rank Mission active. If you are having problems with this just check your mission log. It's quite possible you are just missing a simple CS.

2) The amount of gil you pay to switch nations is based solely on Conquest Tally Results. You will pay more to switch to a nation that is ranked 1st than a nation that is ranked 3rd.

3) You WILL retain your previous nations rank if/when you switch back to it.

4) You WILL keep any CP gained for your previous nation, BUT those CP will be stored and unusable until you switch back.

5) You WILL lose all OP.

6) You WILL keep all key items, quests, and fame.

7) Switching nations WILL NOT affect anything from the past(MAW's, the nation you have in the past, allied notes).

8) You do not have to be concerned about your Mog House. It takes care of itself.

All of the allegiance NPCs need updating, it seems.

Here's what we all seem to know:

• The cost to change is dependant on your new nation's current Conquest position.: 1:40k, 2:10k, 3:4k. I'd assume that if two nations are joint first/second, then both would cost 40k/10k. Unsure though.

• Your old nation retains your CP (so switching back reclaims them).

• Your old nation retains your Rank.

• You seem to keep Key Items such as airship passes when you change allegiance.

• You cannot switch nation if you are currently on a mission for your old nation.

Here's what is uncertain:

• If you switch nation, you lose Outpost Warps. But does your old nation retain them?

• If you are on Zilart/Promathia missions, does changing allegiance affect this in any way?

Ok thought I would clear some up, although I'm certainly no expert. When you change your allegiance
i.e. Windurst >> San d'Oria
In Windurst you were Rank5, now you will be Without Rank. The price for changing allegiance varies, i was charged 40,000 gil yes 40k to change from windy to sandy. Friends have also payed different amounts, form my assessment, you are charged based on how much gil you have on you. Now if I were to change back to windy, when i left i had 1000CP it WILL still be there, along with my rank 5 and all the key items i need/needed/recieved from my missions. Now if i switched back to Sandy id have the same CP/key items i had when i left there! it is as simple as that and is a fact, No i have no switched back and forth but i have heard from the mouths of many horses -.- so to speak.. (/laugh to self) that you still have your CP after changing back, with proof! an item you can ONLY get with CP :) Have a nice day.

I just changed my allegiance and have some information to share.

1) I switched from Windy to Bastok and since Bastok was first in the rankings at the time, I was charged 40k gil.

2) You keep your rank in your old country, so when/if you switch back, you don't have to do the work again.

3) You keep ALL key items and such, so the missions are insanely easier. Also, as a side note, I kept my airship pass and got to ride on the Bastok-Jueno Airship as a rank 2 ^^

4) You DO NOT get to keep your conquest points.

Wrong, you get to keep your CP for that nation. When you change your nation, you must start over. Simply change back and you'll have your CP. Example: Bastok nation w/ 500 CP
Change to Windurst w/ 0 CP
Change back to Bastok w/ 500 CP
There is no CP loss.... or I could be completly wrong. :P

It says it in the description, but "For 10,000 Gil, you can change your allegiance to a different Realm. You will lose your rank, but keep your conquest points." Though it seems that the fee is actually based on the conquest rank of the realm you are switching to.
