Vana'diel Bestiary: Bloodpool Vorax  

I farm in this spot a lot. I usualy manage to get Vorax when he pop...i think im at 9 solo and its dropped once. I missed it this morning cuz some rdm who wasnt subbing thf and was probably a little too low to farm claimed it. This guy had been there 10 mins....I'd been there 2 hours. I figured ok, sure whatever. I checked him and he had the amulet equipped!! I started talking to him saying "Man, what are you doing? It's a rare item, you can't have 2." And he started laughing and telling me i was wrong that rare items you could have more than one and ex items didnt stack. I laughed back at him and told him to look at the next Beastmen Seal he got.



Remember kids, be polite and know that Rare items means you can only have one.

I farm in Pashhow and sit in his spawn sometimes. I'm 0/11 so far on him. He's VERY stingy with his drop. I HAVE gotten lots of fiend blood from him (worthless). I'm not sure why he drops fiend blood. Seems to me that if the other leeches have beastman blood then the 'harder' NM in the area should drop the same, but thats just me.

My linkshell has gone farming at his spawn twice now, and we have killed him a total of 4 times. Once was with Treasure Hunter II, and the other 3 times with two Treasure Hunter I's. So far we are 0/4 lol, seems to be a rare drop.

0/9 the drop rate seems to suck, but im lvl 51 farming it so that may be affecting it.

ive goten the drop 2/4 times, doesnt seem much of a rare drop and only 1 of the drops was with TH in party. all times ive seen him several people around and dont even bother coming over and checking it out while im fighting it. not much of a camped NM on my server, exept for the beastmen blood, and silk farmers in the area.

I was farming in this part because I was bored of Palbourough Mines and someone here told me to farm in Pash Marsh. This lil'guy popped at 5:52pm and dropped the fiend blood. I had just logged on at 5:45pm. I had gotten here yesterday but logged off to go to the movies. I kept farming leeches.. all leeches and worms.. even going out to kill wasps for beehive chips. Lil'guys pops again at 7:12pm... less than an hour and fifteen minutes. I guess there is some truth to killing more leeches makes him pop quicker. And the second time around he dropped the Amulet.

in my book if some1 has drawn thier weapon and chases down a mob it belongs to them. i hate it when im lvling and engage a mob as it scampers away. so then i have to ride its butt and wait for it to stop...or use a ranged attack, only to have some1 sneak in and voke it away.

but when it comes to the NM's anything goes.

doing my thing late one night trying to get a Carby Ruby, i decide to give Vorax another go. i've killed him numerous times with no drops. so there i am killing the leeches and crawlers for about an hour and a halfs time. im putting in hours here and i dont want any1 to get this guy after all that. so far ive been alone. im relaxed and ready for BV.

great. now i have competition and BV is due at any moment...i will not allows these skunks to take what i have worked long at for.
POP Bloodpool Vorax
both of these hussies are in close range to him. my heart just sinks. but i use flee reguardless. one of the mithra is engaged with another leech while the other focuses her attention to BV and draws her weapon. she hesitates for whatever reason. bad move mithra.

Prophet uses Steal, but fails to steal anything from Bloodpool Vorax.

hes mine, but no drop. afterward i got tells about how im a kill stealer and how that was "mine" blah blah...i just reply back simply, "good luck next time ladies. take care." i've lost many marks due to slight hesitations. yes i get pissed but i dont blame any1 who is hunting the same NM as i.
but anyway, BV is stingy like most NM's and i think i'll take a break from him for awhile.

Just so nobody makes the mistake I made, make sure you know that the Bloodbead Amulet sells for maybe 15k, at least on my server. I hunted this guy for two days (going 0 for 8 on the drop), thinking he dropped the Bloodbead Earring, which sells for in the ballpark of 800k ^^. Be careful...in my mind, this guy isn't worth the time.

I am convinced the mighty Angel protecting this fool doesn't like me. I claimed him for the third time. Isn't 3 supposed to be the charm? Anyway not only did he not drop the amulet, he saw fit not to drop anything. He never drops anything. It's a good thing I only go hunt him on a whim. If I actually needed the Amulet... man. That would really suck.

I camp this little guy while I wait for a pt in the CN, ATM I am a 42 DRK/THF and I have killed him atleast 5 times, nothing, the only drop I did get was "Fiends Blood" sigh this guy sucks.

0/8 i hate this *******...well not really i mainly just farm and fish rusty caps by his spawn he's an added bonus
