Got this guy in H-8 if anyone's interested.
My charm sold for 380,000 gil, and i have gotten him twice after that, but no drop.

Its not 10k he's just talking about the only 1 that sold in san d'oria. Its 300k+ on siren server. And yes this is a waste of time anyways. You could farm twice that much before getting 1 charm. Even with Th2 i'm 0/18.

I have to disagree with you about a few things.
First off Rabbit Charm and Spike necklace serve two different purposes so you can't really compare them at all.
Secondly... I'm a camper I don't farm, and I respect the fact people will camp the items they need, they have to come from somewhere after all. Jack is about the last NM you should camp for gil though, it's spawn rate isn't usually too bad (though I just got off a 3.5 hour shift that earned me a shiny new hide) but the drop rate is about the worst I've come across including stroper chymes.
So if someone is wasting thier time trying to get the charm to sell sobeit but my hat still goes off to the people that will go to the source of the item to get it instead of taking the obviously easier way out.

Ive camped this little bunny for over 50 hrs and i havent even seen him once. i cant wait for ranger support so i can have widescan, but i hate the rabbit. i left to go check AH for sales status once, come back, and they say hes dead. I HATE THIS BUNNY![Silver][/Silver]
Oh man you guys are going to hate me for this....I have nothing to do, waiting for LS members to log on for an escort to norg. I was going to go lvl my thf in the dunes and then I was like bah forget it. I still headed back to sandy though. I had nothing to do for an hour or two so i was like why not camp Jack, I had seen him once, and i was beaten to it. Thats why i wanted to lvl my thf from 18 to 25 for flee, but thats a different story. I stop by w. ronny to see whats up. A few people are getting owned at the outpost doing a garrison, and other than that not much. So i start spamming the widescan of my lvl 35 ranger/ 17 thf.My widescan was way too big of an area, so i head back to sandy to switch my jobs around. I get to sandy, get sidetracked forget what I'm doing and head back out to camp him. I get there and there is a lvl 30 thf waiting now on him, i see him, get discouraged and decide to leave once again, switch to thf and go to the dunes. Well i zone into sandy go afk for a minute, i come back, and there's the thf standing next to me. I ask whats up, he says nada, gonna go far something that doesn't take forever to spawn. So I say ok, and decide to head back down there instead of changing jobs, because by this time it was around 2 and a half hours for the supposed last spawn. Well I'm running down toward the where he spawns on the other side of the mountain and bam, he's on widescan. All the way on the other side of the mountain. I was a bit discouraged, but i just kept trekking along towards him, i get there, and to my suprise, he is unclaimed. So i run up to him, hit my steal macro, and steal a sandy carrot. I then pummel him with my archer's knive and he drops. I look away from the screen, look back..

Right... my story... i was camping for jack, and i just started so i didn't know when the spawn time was so i decided to just wait and kill some stuff to keep me busy. i was a lvl 31 thf/ 12 rng. so every so ofter i pull out a widescan to see if anything is there. then i met someone who also wants to try to get jack. apparently he was doing it for the money, i was doing it for the fact that it was thieves only and has a +1 to steal (i love my thf job ). so i was thinking aww crap competition, not that i wasn't expecting any. anyways we had a discussion on when he spawns and luckily we got on each other's good side. you know like encouraging and wishing the best of luck to both. and so there we just wait for another 1 hour. we were pretty off on the time. finally jack spawned... unfortunately i was the 3rd person to reach it and the 1st person already killed it. and no charm. extremely depressing and relieving. depressing that i didn't kill it and got the charm, relieving that the whole thing was over for now. well... that whole thing was a bummer except the fact that i made a new friend ^_^. better luck next time

I have seen people kill all the wabbits in the 2 areas where Jack spawns. Sometimes it helps some times not. By killing all the wabbits, ya kill Jack's place holder and he pops sooner. I just try and come by when his 3 hour spawn is ready. I sat down one day and timed him for each spawn. He tends to spawn every 2 hours 45 minutes, 3 hours or 3 hours 15 minutes. Although today someone said he popped once every game day, game time. Doubt that though.

Well I get mad when people steal my monsters but i guess it happenes espicially when its a NM. Well ive been trying to hunt Jack for a while and i have a question for anybody to answer: Do you have to kill a certain amount of Forest Hares for Jack to spawn? Well thx to the person who answers this and good luck to everyone who is hunting him! :) (From Sepira 15 war,6 mnk,all othres level 1)

When I was a lvl 5 WAR I was killing hares and I ran into Jack. I attacked because I didn't know how strong it was. I was able to make it back to San and I accidently started resting right befor the gate thing. When I died a lvl 1 BLM casted stone and died ^^. When I got back someone else was fighting it and killed it. The funny thing is there wede 4 bodies laying next to the dead bunny.

i was out camping him for the first time...also first NM camp ever. After half an hour of killing everything that moved I decided to head back to town. On my way back I saw him. I charged into Provoke and range and some lvl 5 WHM attacked it. He was getting his azz kicked and he called for help. I 'voked it and killed it. I asked him why he was there and he said his friend said it was just another Forest Hare with a cool name. So... first NM fight got no exp or drop. Guess ill try later.

I killed about 30 - 40 Jacks.

Talking about arrogant people... maybe YOU should get your facts straight. There is indeed a TH3 (and even higher) and it comes from your AF and other gear. Maybe before you start throwing around swear words you should mend your n00bish ways and do some research of your own...

there is indeed NOT a TH3, Treasure hunter I and II show up on ur job traits list seperatly, as Treasure hunter, and Treasure hunter II. The af gear and the Thief's knife both give Treasure hunter +1. this doesnt not mean that it give u THIII and THIIII.

well said.. i read a post a looooong time ago that stated to hunt him at 50% Full moon around 0:00 at Lightsday... well after camping him at a record of like 0/25+ i tried it... wasnt even my THF.
was on the way back from La Thein plateau and ran through the area.. no one there.. i saw it was lightsday... so i type /clock. i see its 23:46... 50% Full moon. (lucky?) more like creepy. i hung around.. again job is WHM/RDM. lvl ~30 at the time... im running in circles in the area.. the drill. come across Jagg-E-Jack about 0:50 . cast dia on him.. clubbed him maybe 3-5 times dies...

Where did you see him? I have tried hunting Jack for a few weeks now, always near h-9, but I have not seen him! I've fought him twice *once I actually watched him spawn* near h-9 but now I have no luck. I'm trying to get the charm for myself, not even worried about the $. If anyone ever feels like hooking up a THF with no luck, I would glady give all the gil I've been saving to buy the charm for the last month (about120k).
Any info would be great! Thanks.

pretty much where the map shows... usually up above the road more on the hill... near that small cliff. i have also seen him spawn behind Outpost :X

I've spent the past couple of day camping jack. I've stolen out from under a lvl 75 thief and even killed it eight times in the eight times i've seen him pop and still no drop(no surprise though). in that time i noticed that jack popped about once every 3 hours (a couple of times he took 5 hours) and that he popped out of the eight times in the G-9, H-9 area on ragnarok. i hope this helps some people.

The time has come, I have finally hit 100 kills, and still only one charm.
I will post a map later on this week showing the density of the spawns That I have killed to give a better idea of where to look. I was a little hesitant to put up said map, but I think it would help all to get thier Rabbit Charms.
Quick things to note from observation:
Jaggedy-Eared Jack is a Lottery pop.
-It means that in the given area, there are a certain amount of spots available, and freeing up spots for more spawns yeilds better chances of gettign a Jack.
Minimum time to spawn is about 1 hour.
Maximum time to spawn has been in upwards of five hours.
Average time between spawns from observation 2hrs, 30 minutes.(Just by coincidence, it seems to be the most common period of time between spawns.
Jack spawns at any time of day, I noticed that a lot of people state that he spawns more in the morning, and there is a reason for this: At 4:00 game time the undead disappear, and again at 6:00 the bats go away, this frees up a lot of spawn points. From observation I notice Forest Hares and Bats share the same spawn points.
Level affecting drop? I killed it a total of about 24 times with other jobs all at low levels, I ended up leveling most of my subjobs hunting Jack and noticed absolutely no change in drop rate. The one time I did get it, I was 100 or so exp into level 45. I did however notice the majority of drops were attained by Red Mages in thier mid 20's, but I can say this is probably just coincidence.
Drop rate of item... I am on the losing end of the curve, but from al the posts here and all the people I asked on my server that had one, and all those in the Auction house that sold one(Those that responded) I have added it all up and came up with an average of roughly 27 kills to a drop. Please note: this number is quite false because I did not seek out those that did not get the drop at all but kill him many times.
Moon phase: I got mine at 24% moon I think, I got four other reports at the following: 25%, 65%, 90%, and 45%. (Two of these percentages could be false though, they came from me checking my clock after somone killed Jack and Shouted they got the charm.
My observations on the Benefit of the charm:
-Not a good source of income, you figure you are spending anywhere from 27 hours(minimum time for average number of kills), to 135 hours(Maximum time for average about of kills) hunting. If you farm properly, and if you average at least 20,000/hr farming, mining, logging, etc.. you could be making 540,000g - 2,700,000g in the time it takes you to get a 400,000g item.
-Steal +1, helps very little. It is a help though, but barely.
-Bragging rights. Oh yeah, you feel real good when you go to look in the auction house and do not see your name under the buyers' half of the auction house window.
What I learned while farming:
First and formost, I learned to farm. Patience, Dedication, Patience, Craft, Patience... It really gave me practice in how to just go into a zone inside my head and relax so I can kill millions of creatures and not get extremely bored.

The one time I did get it, I was 100 or so exp into level 45. I did however notice the majority of drops were attained by Red Mages in thier mid 20's, but I can say this is probably just coincidence.
Drop rate of item... I am on the losing end of the curve, but from al the posts here and all the people I asked on my server that had one, and all those in the Auction house that sold one(Those that responded) I have added it all up and came up with an average of roughly 27 kills to a drop. Please note: this number is quite false because I did not seek out those that did not get the drop at all but kill him many times.
Moon phase: I got mine at 24% moon I think, I got four other reports at the following: 25%, 65%, 90%, and 45%. (Two of these percentages could be false though, they came from me checking my clock after somone killed Jack and Shouted they got the charm.
My observations on the Benefit of the charm:
-Not a good source of income, you figure you are spending anywhere from 27 hours(minimum time for average number of kills), to 135 hours(Maximum time for average about of kills) hunting. If you farm properly, and if you average at least 20,000/hr farming, mining, logging, etc.. you could be making 540,000g - 2,700,000g in the time it takes you to get a 400,000g item.
-Steal +1, helps very little. It is a help though, but barely.
-Bragging rights. Oh yeah, you feel real good when you go to look in the auction house and do not see your name under the buyers' half of the auction house window.
What I learned while farming:
First and formost, I learned to farm. Patience, Dedication, Patience, Craft, Patience... It really gave me practice in how to just go into a zone inside my head and relax so I can kill millions of creatures and not get extremely bored.

if this helps, in Seraph jack usually spawns in the open winderness more in the areas 8F-8G and sometimes in 9F in the corner, and 8H. i find it that he is found more in these places than in 9G, and H. this is another reason i'm 4/4 with the rabbit charm :) i've gone to areas outside the listed one, and also becuase of pure luck. i've been 2/2 not even nm hunting, like i just pass by on a choco and i see the little Jaggedy-Eared Jack and i decide to jump of the choco real fast and kill it. but if the refered coordinates above don't help then i suggest doin the old fashioned widescan (ranger) and have treasure hunter(lvl 25 THF) and flee(lvl 10 THF).

Flee is lv; 25 and Tresure Hunter is level 15.

I have been camping this little bugger for some time. I am currently 0 for 8. So I started keeping track of when he spawned in real time, to see if there was a pattern. So in one day I got this.....
12:45 pm
3:30 pm
6:45 pm
9:45 pm
So around a 2 hour 45 minute, 3 hour or 3 hour 15 minute spawn rate.
I do not think the higer level/less drop rate. I hunt wabbits in the area to get hides and I get alot of them. Since I camp this with my lvl 30Thf/15Rng.
So be wery, wery qwuite, I'm hunting wabbits
