This is probolby the worst NM i've ever hunted! it has never dropped and i have killed it 10 times! IN A ROW! all day all night last weekend i was trying jack, but no the little summumma wouldnt drop!
Finally caught up with this little bugger tonight, he popped at 4:10. Beat him pretty easily with my 15thf/7war and got.... **drum roll please** .... An earth Crystal.

Do you guys know at what time JEJ spawns. From my experience, JEJ spawns at night time. However someone told me that it also spawns at dawn 6-8:00. can someone confirm this. Thanks

i can not confirm this... but it did spawn near 7:35. i dont remember that well but it sounds right... Jack is probobly the craziest NMs i've ever fought cuz it never spawns in the same place for me... but i havent fought alot...
I hunted this lil ******* from 12:00 midnight til 4:45 am and I didnt even SEE him once! I guess its possible he spawned and someone else got him but it was a lesson in futility. For 4.75 hours work I got 2 stacks of rabbit hides, 1 stack of beastcoins, and 1 stack of sleepshrooms. Definitely not a profitable outing.
Just a heads up for all you wabbit hunters out there. I spotted Jack on the border of G-10/11 the other day, well out of his area on the map. Don't know if there's a spawn point down there or if he somehow made it from G/H-9 all the way down there without being killed. Your guess is as good as mine, but I've seen these maps miss spawn points before (ie. Valkurm Emperor).
Little bugger hopped right up to me like I was his friend. I kill him of course, but no drop. :P

This jack is gonna take some time. Theres always some greedy jp poacher like people there that just want to sell the charm. as a thief myself i just want to wear the dang thing. It's wrong to take something that you want when someone else needs it. Curse you japanese poachers. Price trion will get you all!
yea.... sure.... and you wouldnt sell a 400k item... im so sure you would use it *sighs*

Also, just for fun I switched to 30BLM/1RNG and pulled him down into the southeast corner of the map. I kept him asleep for over an hour there before getting bored, taking off all my equipment, and punching him most of the way to death. Unfortunately, his foot kicks were doing 30-50 damage to me so I had to reequip my wand and beat him to death with it...
Unfortunately even fighting him for over 70 minutes straight didn't help the drop.
I've killed him with melee, WS, direct damage spells, dots, as a 17THF, 31BLM, 10BRD, 12BRD, over a half-dozen times during full-moon.
I even took a week-long break to get a Monster Signa which, despite the five-hundred thousand japanese and americans constantly camping it, was very easy to get because of the generally small spawn area and nearly always precise to the minute spawn rate.
Feh.

Ok I tryed this with my 43 drk, dont know if I just have awful luck or if lvl acutally effects the drop but I killed it 17 times yes 17! got nothing...

Alright. a lvl 18 RDM / 9 WAR would have no problem taking this guy out, right? just wanna make sure before i make the trip and spend hour camping him.

I've seen level 10 Dragoons kill his guy, I think a level 18 RDM could harvest his soul!!! ;p

Uh Rare is just That Rare, you can carry as many as you want.
EX stands for Exclusive, if it's EX, then you can only have one.
Since the Charm is ONLY RARE, you can carry as many as you want.
So really... Who was the Liar?

i hate this rabbit!ive camped it for a couple days now and killed it about 4 times. nothing. oh wait i got excited when i saw some words after it said i defeated it. oh look i got a rabbit hide. but i should'nt expect to get it on the first few times w/ a DRK. oh and the rabbit charm goes for around 500k on the carbuncle server.

hey if you were lv.10-12 it will drop as if you where a lv.15thief,cause if your close ot it levle itll be easeir to get drop,what grid are where you in when you killed it btw?

A lot of people think that they will be getting the charm the first time they kill JEJ but obviously you don't, anyway Talking to a good lvl 75 pld friend of mine i have learned that if you are not wearing the part of armor that the NM drops, then it will drop more often, personally i say the best chance go getting a Charm is with a lvl 15 thf, solo it, probably drops 1/3 times, Hope you've learned something Good luck!

I have been searchin for this rare item for several says now and still have not got it. Can anyone give me a ratio of how rare the rabbit charm is to drop. I see many thiefs searching for it but i can understand that because they have the ability Treasure Hunt. Is it possible to get it without Treasure Hunt?or is it just a aot harder?

killed it here on alexander 6 times now, no drop. I have killed it as a 27 paladin, im beginning to think thats why i cant get it. A bunch of 15 thieves get the charm 1st or second try. Maybe they're just lucky, but my theory is that TH does help in NM hunting.

I am on the Cerberus server and the charm goes for about 200k everywhere I have checked. I just want to use the darn thing, but I wouldn't pay 200k for it, even IF there were any to buy! I have not had much experience camping NM's because I see it as a waste of time. I can spend 12 hours mining or logging and probably make just as much as if I camped an NM and got the rare drop. Also, camping NM's seems to involve A LOT of luck, and even with the luck of the Irish, I have not had much luck in my limited exploits in NM camping. And that's my 2 cents.

Crazyirishman!!! I grouped with you with my WHM, my Name was Ronin, anyways I've been camping this guy like crazy 6 kills as my 25 WHM and no drop yet, maybe I should level up my THF to 15? I hear there is a lot of contraversy over where it helps NM drops or not. Oh well back to the hunt!! (^_^)

On gilgamesh the rabbit charm sells for 1mil, thats about 5 leaping boots.

ok this is all about luck here and really the only way i see it if you run by it see it kill it if not dont waste your time cause the chances of you getting the dropes are rare unless you are one of the few luky ones, i really dont think its worth spending more the 2 hours when you have a 5% chance of getting the item or if you have nothing better to do then to sit for 4 hour then go for it but i hate nm i can mine and buy the items faster then i can get the drope

Thought i would let you know my exp with this damn little rabbit. I have seen him 6 times and I have fought him 5 times. Everytime he spawned in H-9 during the day game time. I have also found that he normally spawns every other day or every 2 hours real time. However, once he did spawn one day and then again the next. He has been easy to fight with my level 10 Rng but I have been using my two hour just to kill him quick. I have yet to get the charm after about ten hours of hunting, however i feel i am due and will continue to hunt him, plus i was lucky and got my Leaping Boots after 3 hours of hunting Leaping Lizzy. I would suggest killing the forest hares in the H-9 area. I do beleave it helps to get him to spawn.
I was fighing in area and there he was, so I attacked, and forgot how to fight, in that I was working on new job and was only level 9 Tarutaru White Mage. But if i fought as I should have, I could have killed him, but I had a group of others watching, which was causing freezes, and many of them had Cure and not help me. After my death, another killed and got charm, then rubbed it in by raising me. So Onlookers could have saved me, but did not, as they wanted charm. To me, that's not people who I would like as friends. BTW there was 15+ people there, I counted 5 besides the one who raised me who had the cure spell, if not the cure II spell. Think a few need to remember that this a game to have fun, and if you do someone dirty in game, you not good person in real life either. Be Nice :)

Always remember...if things look bad when fighting a NM; CALL FOR HELP! This will forfeit the drop and you will be out nothing. The onlookers won't be able to get drop either even if you die...I think. ^^d
