all the mobs in this game spawn on a system(for ex. every 300 rabbits u kill it will spawn) that is has no "exact time".
soif u kill rabbits i might spawn faster.

Sorry chum, that's incorrect. A lot, and I mean a lot of enemies are set to spawn times, if you do something enough you have it down like clockwork. Stroper Chyme respawns exactly 8 minutes or 10 minutes after he dies. The Boreal mobs for genkai2 respawn in an astounding 45 seconds. (>< arrrrgh that was annoying)
Now, most NMs like Jack need to have a spawn place open AND their timer to reset. Once their timer resets they CAN spawn in for one of the mobs, doesn't guarntee they will at that very second.
Another example are NMs like Argus and Morbolger, both have 24 hr clocks on them, no placeholders, just spawn out of the blazing blue air in front of you. (but have more set locations)

On Cerberus, we got a group of 6 lv 15-20 thiefs and camped the rabbit, we killed it 4 times and only rabbit hides dropped.....basically a waste of time that could have been spent levelling.
Only worth camping if you are pretty high level and desperately need money for uber gear and you are prepared to kill it dozens of times and its not even gaureenteed that someone might attack before you do because its spawn range is pretty large.

Ok...I've Killed Jack 6 Times,Seen him killed 2 times..One thing i've come to realize is that he's a Replacement Spawn...He Replaces a rabbit that has been killed previously..so he spawns where the Normal ones spawn, I've killed him at mulitple levels and no charm, never used thief, but have partied with a THF and we killed him at 90% moon phase and NO CHARM, this thing is the hardest item i've had the pleasure of chasing down! if anyone kill this thing PLEASE PLEASE Get the time,moonphase,location,day,weapon, EVERY DETAIL and post it!

Try jeuno for the item. On my server it sells around 320- 370 k and I don't think they would discontinue a Notorious monster for just one server. He's probably on there you just have to be quick and have to be willing to camp it out when there aren't many high lvls camping. It's hard but very worth it.

Anyone know what kind of spawn timer jaggedy jack is on. My linkshell was thinking 2 hours but he seems to pop up randomly in the 1 1/2- 2 hour range after last spawn. Can anyone please confirm jaggedy jacks spawn for me. Plus, do you need a thief with treasure hunter to have a chance to get this rabbit charm. I have killed at least 10 jaggedy jacks and have gotten nothing.

so i am looking for and have been for a while and i still cannot find him, but i wanted to see how much it would sell for at the auction and the price history is inapplicable, doesn't that mean that noone has gotten the item and maybe the rabbit isnt on my server(quetzecoatl)? i mean someone must have gotten it by now or elseit would be on the suction

It is on your servet too, no doubt about it...
Its just that noone have sold that item on that AH, if u go to Jeuno you probably can see the price there. On my server (Ifrit) it goes for 350-450k

I've seen him on quetzecoatl and I've seen someone kill him. They did not get the item when they killed him.

Me and my friend(a THF) decided to go look for him...
Took us about 10mins before we saw him, killed him, and got the charm right away:D
The time was about 23.00 when he spawned, on Ifrit.

From what i've heard, the drop of the rabbit charm depends on the moon phase, and it has to be near the full moon (90% or more, im assuming). My friend and i are going to try and get him, and sincehe has a rng subjob, he can widescan the area :D. If we do get the charm, than the moon phase theory for hte drop is correct. But yes, as people have said, treasure hunter increases your chances GREATLY of getting this item, along wiht the full moon. We have killed him a good 6-7 times and no drop, so we are going to go with the moon phase theory until proved right or wrong.

Gosh i have fought him 15 times before and no drop even with a 45 thief with me for all 15 kills i just gave up the drop is just to rare gone off to fight valkurm emperor which has a much better drop rate.

i hunted the thing for at least 3 hrs and saw it once and killed it...it didnt drop anything. and i was clearing out G-9 and H-9, so i dont think killing rabbits speeds up anything. but im a lev 12war/6whm and it was a semi-tough fight. but im going to try and keep hunting...300K is worth it

Calm down everyone, look your level depends on the drop of a NM if your lv 35 you wont get it anytime soon. If you are around his level which this goes for all nm monster and regulars too you get more stuff when you kill it. I hunted this guy for like 2 hours got a charm then killed that dumb lizard everyone complains about in gustaberg i did it as a lv 15 samurai. Which is way more than enough,try doing it at even lower level like 11 or 12. Hope this helps. Also if your wondering why so many japanese people are pulling faster than you, its not your computer. Its the server, the japanese get the information faster than north americans do.I talked to a GM about it, after i failed to pull Meediggi the punisher for a day straight, i dont know if any of you had this problem, but i know i did.The japanese see the monster faster than you do. Which results in you seeing the monster spawn with it's name already purple~

saw him once didnt get NUTTING >_< level 20 thf so i have the treasure trait later on i saw him again but somedude got to him before i could then about 1 hour later he showed up again and he got snatched from me again ~_~ but sall good imma try again in a hour then see if i get lucky...

hey, i am on Lakshmi server, and have hunted the rabit for at least 3-4 hours a day, for over a week, and i have never seen him. I am hunting the NE side of H-9.
Can you tell me a landmark, or something to narrow my search? I need the item for my thief, and any information would be appreciated.

I'm on Lakshmi also And i've seen him twice. The first time I didn't make to him fast enough to prevent my friend from dying (lvl 12~ish THF I think). my other friend (20+WHM at the time) stole the kill from us and didn't get drop. Later that night my THF friend and I fought him again and didn't get charm. hebasically spawn in the square containing the outpost, and the square to the east of it.
both times he spawned near the middle of that small mountain range at the top-middle of H-9 (i think)

I found the charm the third time i fought him. I am a 31thf. Of course, you MUST have a lv15+ thf to increase the chances of getting it greatly. Trust me, even if you Thf is lv1, train it to lv 15 just to get the treasure finder trait, then go fight these NM's. You will be rich by the end of the week.

Lu Shangs Rod is going for 3.5 million gil on Fairy, not 300k.
I KILLED HIM! Too bad all I got was a slice of hare meat, which is semi-rare, considering no other rabbits in the area drop hare meat ^_^;;

ya, just recently i found things disproving the morning spawn, it was just a very big coincidence

Just now I tried to prove or disprove the "1 hour 30 minute" timer post. Found Jack in the evening, then wiped out the rabbit population. At about the 2 hour mark, he shows up again to get his seconds. This time I leave to San'D and come back about 15 minutes before the third 2 hour mark. Jack shows up AGAIN at about that time, with minimal rabbit killing.
For anybody who cares the times were: 20:17PST - 19:36Lightsday, 22:15SPST - 20:42Firesday, 0:06PST - 18:47Watersday.

Waited elsewhere until about 1 hour 45 minutes later, Jack spawned again almost instantly upon return (11:40something, Darksday), East H-9. Got my charm, so the evidence that you don't have to run around like a madman killing the hares worked for me. Hope it works for you.

well i saw him in f8 which either he hoped over there or there are constintly different spawning areas ..who knows
