new quest for this npc?
Grounded fisherman Thierride is in search of a seasoning that will allow him to make the most mouth-watering bean dish in Vana'diel.

Considering the quest at http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/quests.html?fquest=48, "Lufet's Lake Salt", which says the beans are famous for their salty taste, I assume Lufet Salt is the required quest item, though no idea in what quantity. I'll post if I find out.

[Edit]
Confirmed, for the quest Thierride (in Southern San d'Oria (S) he's located at F-8) gives you called "Beans, Ahoy!", the seasoning he's looking for is Lufet Salt. I killed many crabs in ERon(S) (in my 60thf for TH2) and not one Lufet Salt dropped, you seem to only be able to get these in present day WRon. You need at least 2, you trade 1 to him for the first short CS, then he asks you for another, trade that to him to get another CS. After that, zone out and back to get a final CS and your reward, a dish called Angler's Cassoulet. Also grants the title "Seasoning Connoisseur".

Angler's Cassoulet apparently has no entry in alla's database yet, so I googled, first reports are;

2 hour food
-1 vit
+5 agi
gives auto-regen effect

I didn't test the food myself yet, so I couldn't say if these are correct. (someone might have just forgotten they had regen effect on sigil for instance). Apparently you can also get one a new one after JP midnight. I'll try to check up on that tomorrow, though I'd assume you need another Lufet Salt. No mention if it's indefinitely repeatable though.

Anyways, that's all the info I have for now about this quest.

[Second Edit]
Confirming the stat changes and the auto-regen effect, 1hp/tic, all the way to full hp. I believe the food may only be 1 hour though, as it may have been extended by sigil effects.

[Fourth Edit]
Just remembered to check the guy again after the tally, and I did get a new Angler's Cassoulet. Talked to him again after that and he said the same thing as in my reply to this post below, so I'm fairly certain it's safe to say you can get a new one every week at reset. As for food effects I can only confirm the visible effects, I have no way of knowing any hidden ones.

[Final Edit]
New tally has passed, can confirm that you can indeed get a new one after each tally, however not while you have one in inventory. (it IS rare/ex after all).

For some reason I can't edit my own post anymore, so to continue, JP midnight has passed, but even before then Thierride said the Angler's Cassoulet was ready, then that he was mistaken and it needed to simmer some more. I thought that might be because I had one in bag already, so I ate it (thus the stat confirmation from above) and talked to him, he said the same thing. I tried zoning, the same thing. So today I waited til after JP midnight, AND waited for the food to wear off, as well as zoning after various steps, he still says the same thing. My next best guess now is that you can get a new one after conquest tally on Sunday. Just a guess though.
