Sometimes the first group and last group of Rock Lizards will not exist on your widescan depending on where you stand and how big your widescan range is... Respawn time for Rock Lizards is 5 minutes earth time so once you kill a PH, set a 5 min timer. I would recommend that when you are camping LL, go in a party with 2 members, since LL have a chance to spawn either at the upper floor or at the lower one (regardless of which PH was killed...)
With two members you can each take a PH to make it easier to keep track of the pop window for each PH. Happy hunting! After getting my Empress hairpin i was walking back to bastok and i saw LL on widescan, it was dead when i found it, but it gave me the idea of camping this also. 2 hours later see him on widescan very far away but i got him with stun, (some lvl 9 war was about to hit it) he dropped and i feel like a pro at this, 1/1 on both LL and VE in one day with out TH.
lol your not the only one to get Emp pin and boots in teh same day. I did it before the rare ex update so gilsellers where a bit more prevelent.

1/5 on this sob and it was a pain to get. But i noticed if u use a high lvl job ur chance of drop sux for some reason. I killed him with my drk 17 and got em and 30xp so maybe u just need to get some xp from him as well

I'm a lvl 34 RDM i know the boots are no use for me, but since i wanna lvl thf and i don't want mages sandals with agi+1 instead of 3 :S , i decided to camp LL well so far i did it about 33 hours in total and i am 0/2, here on cerberus it is soo ******* crowded you just can't get a claim unless it spawns in front of you, and on the times i am lonely it just doesn't pop for hours :S:S:S I'd almost give up but it pissed me soooo off that i just gonna keep going till i kill tha ***** and get those boots, and widescan is really pretty much useless with a delay of 15-30 seconds before i see LL it's killed -.-

I camped this thing for my thief when it was young. Got the drop on the fifth kill...then I got into crafting. Sold the boots for funds and got by with noct+1 boots for a while. After I hit 45 with thief and got TH2, I decided it was time to return and claim my boots again, for keeps this time.
Got 3 kills...no drop. Then, the update happened, and it switched to Bounding...I have killed it 8 more times since...no damn drop. WTF? That's 11 times in a row with no drop. With TH2 and a four-leaf. Yet random people on my linkshell are 2/5 or 3/3? This pisses me off. If I didn't know better I'd say that Square intentionally lowers the drop rate for jobs that would actually use these stupid boots. And now I've lost the option of buying them at the AH (I have my pride after all.)

Well I've been chasing Lizzy for 5 hours, and I got 2 claims but no drop, even using 2-leaf mandragora bud. First time it popped i couldn't get it. 2nd time popped like 15 min after and claimed, 3rd pop like 1 hour after, 4th pop like 20 min after with claim, 5th pop like 3 hours after, 6th pop like 1 hour after...
And in that time nobody got drop >_>

Oh, I've camped her a dozen times too, but of all 4 times I've seen her, someone else got the claim.

As someone said below, she's lottery spawn--when my husband was camping her, he had the same experience a couple of times, where she would pop, someone would get the claim, and if he kept the area as lizard-free as possible, she would spawn again within ten to fifteen minutes. I think this is unlikely to happen, but certainly possible.
I'm now camping a pair for myself for my Elvaan ninja--and yes, like everyone else, I absolutely despise this damned lizard. -.-

I have killed Leaping Lizzy a grand total of 36 times within the past month---a few of which were during the Full Moon. And I've yet to get the drop.
But what finally made me snap was tonight. I had spent hours killing placeholders---just as always. And for once I was literally the only person at the camp And it had been that way for a couple hours at this point. Neat. I've gotten 2 kills thus far tonight. Suddenly, LL pops up on Widescan for the third time. I rush over; some random WHM has appeared out of nowhere and taken claim to Lizzy. They kill it; and sure enough. They got the drop.
On their first LL kill ever.
.....so I waste 40+ hours of my life killing placeholders and killing this damn thing. So when the boots FINALLY drop; they go to some person who had spent all of 10 seconds passing through the camp.

I wanted to claim one of those 'Impossible to get' NM's, so i decided to camp Lizzy. So I was sitting there, as BRD21/WAR10, killing lizzys and stuff. I saw lots of people run by me; lvl 30-60+, and I got discouraged, so I went AFK to get some McDonalds. When i came back to the keyboard, Lizzy was in front of me! I busted out my Flute, Cheryl, and claimed it!! (And yes, my Flute is really named Cheryl XD). It took me about 40 seconds to kill him, and no drop ; ; then I got him the next 2 times in a row and still no drop >< Just goes to show you.. Camping without lvl 45 THF SUCKS! But I now hunt with BRD33/THF16, hoping that SE will shine some luck on me..

How frequently does LL spawn. EVery hour? 2 hours? 3HOURS? Anyone know cause id like to

It is a lottery spawn off of the ten lizards that spawn around the spire, the interval starts at 5 mins, but it can go as high as 7 hrs ive heard, but from my experience ive seen more pops from 1.5-2 hrs

for me it went 8hours...does SE hate me our something cus when i hunt NM like this it spawns next to the other guy, when i kill all teh PH and he's afk half the time

Well depends, what job ar you hunting with? If you dont have widescan there is a big chance that you missed the spawn, so if you dont have widescan i encourage you to sub rng, then i believe as long as you kill the lizards and use the scan, you wont see any pops longer than 3-4 hrs

I just killed LL around the southwest corner of the pop area yesterday with my 16 thf/8 whm and i didn't get anything except 35 exp.

Well after Weeks of camping and endless boringness of standing in south gusta i was about to log for the night which i new i wouldnt until i seen it pop :P it poped right smack infront of me didnt even have to move ranged it claimed and dropped :D its a very happy day today or night i should say 1/6 with my 40THF/15RNG

oh, i forgot say this, a day i was leveling up with PL me thief when was 9, and me see the lizzard alone, i pull it while me friend come, but never was here, so if i dont get the boots and i die, nobody get the boots so i call for help and NO! the boots losts. muHAHAHHAHAHa was fun, but for you know, is good leave and return in a hours.
Well, this is what i think, now Leaping lizzy no drop the leaping boots, drop something seem but with other name and rare/ex, but, why the leaping lizzy dont drop leaping boots? why dont do Leaping boots rare/ex and the other boots for the BCNM? well, this is bad, and, much noobs only kill upper monters, down the coline are the spawn monsters, for get easy the boots, leave a hours and come back and kill the lizards down the coline, and the monster pop, = chance FOR THE BOOTS! YAY, i do that and i get much times the lizzy ; ;

does it have placeholders or something? or is it a timed spawn?
I was walking around the other day examining people at Lizzy site when I realized that many of the campers already had Bounding Boots. Why would they still camp this. Does Lizzy still drop the other boots?
