Gonna give a shout-out to gilsellers down in Midgardsormr: Cigue (3rd party program), Dowie (3rd party program), Joiful (3rd party program), Cyndi, and Tutan. Of course theres usually 5 more people on top of that.

If you're on Midgardsormr and ever camped this guy, you'll know who I'm talking about. Basically Cigue is the mnk/thf head honcho...flees instantly to NM no matter where on map he is (even in his blind spots). Dowie is his little b*tch who is a nin/war and kinda sucks. Joiful is a retarded little whm taru who somehow gets some claims o.O. Then Tutan and Cyndi work together sometime (war/thfs) but they kinda suck. They MPK sometimes (to lower-level ppl camping) so watch out. They have retarded-looking demented-monkey-freak faces in their bazaar comments which scare me. They are nice sometimes but then go **** randomly haha. Chinese gilsellers, as can be seen from the chinese characters in their bazaar, use of Chinese language (I'm Japanese so I know it's not JP), and broken Engrish. If you guys ever wanna MPK them...use the force, adventurer. We are with you (and the GMs wont notice).

I'm 1/8 on this idiot with TH2 and 1/6 on Domi...man my rates blow. Getting a SH will be nearly impossible at this rate. 2 impact knuckles sitting in my inventory right now.

I know who you are talking about...I ran into Cigue and Dowie no less than twenty minutes ago. And the time beofre this I ran into Tutan and Cyndi...and how might you MPK people who don't get aggro with the zone so far away...just wondering...you know I wouldn't do something like that(and get caught) ;>_>

Yep, gilsellers are in full effect here in Kujata. have a friend that really wants his SH so he's been camping it for days. gets the ph and then we wait,2 minutes before spawn they all swarm in and its claimed before it even popped. no provoke, charm, chi blast or magic, except for the magic of packet sniffers.

Saw the other nm, the one that drops Fuma Kyahan, go the way of that one too. Was killing crawlers in the area hoping to get some threads while i waited, when it pops in front of me, with its name red. The gilsellers come running from across the map to start killing it. kill it, log, only to be seem 5 game hours later, ready to camp again.

God forbid that anyone could get good equips by actually camping the nm that drops the item.

Welcome to Fairy!
Where Gillsellers Run free....
Ok So I have spend over a week in this camp, seeing the damn NM being Claim by serveral Gilseller parties. um I wana give a shout out to my #1 gilsellers! Sneakk, Mrfab, Zei, Yanquing(something like that) Anndy, and few more that allie with them for the money i guess..

This team of Gilseller have the best luck of all, as you see everyone Flee some how Magically they can Provoke a mile away, or charm it. Me myself want Flee and Treasure Hunter(RDM/THF) and try claim it with Poison or Dia(Bad Idea try something different). Even with help from 2 friends of mine we couldn't even claim the NM(BLM*stun gun*, THF/BST). The weird part is that we claimed Gallant and got the drop in the first claim(whoohooo). In reality we don't need the Boots but we decided what the hell so we kept them. We have tried to claim this NM for the hands armor for several reasons, my MNK the THF's GF MNK and my BLM friend MNK lol...

We thought of sharing when we get a drop and hope to never try camping this ******* ever again. Word of advice use flee before the Gilseller do one of you so they all panic and ***** up while a buddy still have Flee. lol Almost worked but a gillseller was close to the pop. 10-12MIN after the PH is dead, they will Flee, so watch out.

One great thing about me is that I don't mind spending countless of hours trying to get something I really want..lol So if You're in Fairy Cheer for me. lol

Yep, I'm on fairy too but Mrfab threatened to call GM on me because I brought too many (too weak) yagudos like coaching the football team to ***** their targeting command on Mee Deggi. I was gonna do some more but i would risk getting my bro's character temporially banned. My method worked pretty well, even some gilsellers cheered for me.

Btw im 2/17 on the kote against the gilsellers.
Also, does training too many (too weak) yagudo mobs at the mee deggi site w/o any mpk is against the rules?
RE: *sigh*
# Feb 01 2006 at 9:37 PM Rating: Decent
I would say probably not, for all they know your making trains of yags to farm yag necklaces ;) try not to leave the train going for too long or then you may start getting a few /tell's and what not, but no i doubt you can get in trouble, if so then pointless in using a blm to farm =D

update
# Nov 04 2005 at 3:19 PM Rating: Decent
actually. I have been camping this nm. What mrfriendlyIi has been saying is fully correct. I was watching the gil sellers on diabolos server and talking to them on some occasions.

If anyone knows WHERE it will pop then that would be great because those gil sellers dont :). It would be good if you could post it or PM me :P.

From observation I have figured out the following.

Job: THF/BST
Wide scan only for the place holder.

placeholder: Yagudo Drummer/Yagudo Interrogator

2 sets of mobs top and bottom. The place holder is the last one on this list. It can also run anywhere in the area unlike the other yagudos which are stuck to 5 different areas.

placeholder/nm example:

cutter
cutter
cutter
Yagudo Drummer
meat maggot
meat maggot
..
Yagudo Herald
meat maggot
cutter
..
..
Tagudo Herald
Yagudo Oracle
Yagudo's Elemental
Place Holder or NM
Yagudo Zealot
Yagudo Conquist
..
..
Dee Bola the NPC :)

The Spawn time is 5:00 hours vanadiel time once it died (NM OR placeholder). The NM will pop within 15 minutes from the pop time. So if the placeholder/NM died at 00:00 then another placeholder or NM will spawn from 5:00 to 5:15. So you may as well hit flee at 5:00 if you have it. Also if the nm has just been killed then it wont have a window for another hour. My suggestion is write down vanadiel time it died so you know when to time it pops and when to kill it to co-incide with the window.

getting screwed
# Oct 31 2005 at 6:23 AM Rating: Decent
i just want to say i spent 3 days trying to get this thing on the Caitsith server. Did not even get a claim. I know somehow they are cheating. They always know where and when it will spawn before it even does. I challenge SE to do something about this cause it is BS. They have to know it is happening i mean all they have to do is stand in the courtyard and see itgoing on. They get NM leave are gone for 3 hours i finally kill the right mobs to cause pop and they show up 2 minutes before it pop stand right next to where it is going ot pop and of course get it. So SE do the job that all the players fees pay you to do fix this before my head explodes. Thank you Have a nice day .

So let me get this straight..
If there's 3 Yagudo in one section of the area then 1 of them is the placeholder? If they are all killed does the placeholder change? Or does the placeholder only change when Mee Deggi dies?

0 drops out of 3 claims on this guy, I have no idea how many others were lost to random passers-by or the two, sometimes three gilseller team that is always there (who blatantly have been using a packet sniffer of some type, though I heard the latest update rendered them far less useful, but please correct me if I am wrong on that.)

Quizatsa's guide has been pretty accurate on camping this guy. During the time I've been camping Mee Deggi (which has been a lot less recently) I've only noticed the Non-placeholder Yagudo walking on water appears to be restricted to the NW movement boundary, and quite often this will be an Interrogator doing this - be aware of this. I'm not sure if the non placeholders walking on water is in any other movement boundary (besides the small moat in the SW corner), but I have only seen it happen in the NW corner.

If you intend on camping this guy against the gilsellers, be sure to keep every ToD logged, and be sure you keep on top of it, claiming the placeholder for yourself can give you an edge.

As for solo levels I'd say 48 minimum on some jobs, but the gilseller team there are both 50 MNK/THF and if the other is not there to help, they usually 2hr to win - it seems they can't take him without it. Oh yeah, anything below 54 soloing this without sleep can get some bad links, which can end up in you dropping dead to the floor before Deggi hits the ground himself.

If anyone on Bahamut wants to help me get my in game fiance Samurai a pair of Ochiudo's Kote, send a /t. Otherwise, happy camping and goodluck!

camped him for a couple hours, and as a 55pld/war, saw no trouble from training 6 yags a time. don't know how this changes when you throw in mee deegi, but it seems like a couple links, and you should still be ok.

So it's my first time camping. It's darksday. Full Moon. I'm THF w/ TH2. The stage is set. All that matters now is to claim him. On the last placeholder I prepare myself w/ Flee. He pops, I see him fast and claim him. Kill him (takes a long time -_-). And................no drop! Okay, Impact Knuckles which are pieces of crap. /sigh how can it not possibly drop under these conditions, I have no idea. Bad luck for a sad little Tarutaru.
What's his drop rate

forgive me for not having updated my post in a while to reflect the new camping strategy for mee deggi and quu domi, however, the strategy has not changed that much. YES, there are now several more yagudo that walk in the water, however, this is the only difference. the yagudo still have the same walking pattern, and stay within the confines of their same particular region. just now, the spot for the yagudo in each spawn in extended into the water to the platform in the center, as with the 2 yagudo on the platform extended 3 steps from the bottom of the platform i the water(they dont move there that often though). the placeholder's movement remains the same.
ive been asked time and time again how to tell which is the placeholder if they all now walk in the water. this is a little more difficult and takes some time to master, BUT if you have a good memory (and a sheet of paper) you can do it. the best way to learn how to spot the placeholder is to draw yourself a small map and place dots and names corresponding to the particular yagudo on the map. then, time each yagudo's spawn time by their death time. (see note at bottom of post) now, also know that there are never more than 3 yagudo in the same particular walking area, unless they are the boundaries of their area, then its possible their paths will overlap and 5 yagudo (assuming the placeholder is in the group: see note 2). it is only really necessary to kill the yagudo that have more than 2 in any specific area and time those. once you have the relative time of spawn, and mob class of the yagudo that can possibly be the placeholder, watch for their next spawn (killing everything in the area is a nice way to see exactly what spawns where, but if time doesnt permit, running around the center platform is pretty accurate, but you cant see spawns in the far edges.) the yagudo that spawns out of his area will be the placeholder. if he does not spawn outside of the specific movement area for the yagudo you killed, yet there are still 3 yagudo in that area, kill them all and wait for the respawns. once you have determined by watching the death/spawn of the suspect yagudo, there will be 1 out of place. this is the placeholder. keep track of him as best you can while watching the exact movements and movement habits of the yagudo that are not the placeholder. once you learn their exact movements and where they belong, you will have no problem spotting the placeholder nearly immediately each time. now it's much more difficult than before to pick out the placeholder exactly each time, and i must admit that i myself am wrong as to the placeholder some times. (not often, but still) :p

(Note:)The spawn time was extended from an exact time of 5:07 to a relative time between 5:00 and 5:12 game hours/minutes past time of death to thwart the flee prior to spawn technique (even though flee will last longer than 12 game minutes, it wont last much longer, so if you flee before 5:00+ is up, your flee will be gone at 5:12). there is nothing that can be done about this other than flee at exactly 5:00 and pray. i now use a 5:06+time at death to time their relative spawn.

(Note 2): movement areas! i will do my best at describing this by what you see in game rather than the map. the map is split in to 5 sections, each section being a possible area for 2 yagudo to be (other than the notorious monster's placeholder). if you walk in to mee deggi's spawn and take a right, the walkway to the center will be in front of you. each direction will be from your position facing the walkway to the center as if you were going to walk up the ramp. ok, looking dead straght like you are going up the ramp, draw a line straight up, cutting the area in half. then make another line from the small watery area separating the two pieces of land to the left straight across making a 't' across the middle (basically splitting the area in perfect 4ths), then draw a circle around the center platform extending outward very slightly from the platform. each section on the 4 corners in a possible movement area. the parts where the movement area (assuming you are still facing up the ramp) can overlap the most is directly in front of you and all the way up to directly behind you and all the way back. to the left and right, the possible movement area does not overlap that much.
RE: new camping.. same simple placeholder
# Nov 14 2005 at 1:38 AM Rating: Decent
seems like a very sound strategy. going with a friend to camp it because he needs em. i have a lot of time to spend camping this, so i was wondering, would it be possible to completely mess up the respawn by claiming the placeholder and holding him for a long time, or could i just mess up everyone else camping it by clearing the room with a full train > and a couple -ga spells? not very good with claims, so i thought i mess up everyone else while i wait. <stnpc> doesn't seem to work right for me anymore
RE: new camping.. same simple placeholder
# Nov 20 2005 at 4:38 AM Rating: Decent
just adding that on kujata server, no its not. me and a friend have been trying to mess up flee prior to spawn by claiming and running away with it.

doesn't help, team of two gs just auto target and run at it. i sat there with it for 20 minutes to **** them off. didn't do much but waste my time. the key is to call a gm and tell them you want them to come out and watch the two. did that with the previous gilseller team. or what is known as the Jl team.

only sound strategy on Kujata server is to bring 8 friends and camp every corner and side. only problem is that you gotta split yoru winnings. but it doesn't matter, Mee deegi popped twice and Quu domi popped twice in over 8 hours. all 4 claims went to gs' of course.

jesus yagudo change?????
# Sep 15 2005 at 10:49 PM Rating: Decent
Didnt camp this thing for long time and i decided to camp him yesterday.
Moment i got there, i saw something unexpected.
There was 2 yagudo walking on water... hmmm.. so i killed both of em.
But before i killed a second one, deggi popped.

So is jesus yagudo placeholder has been changed? or was it freak of nature?
RE: jesus yagudo change?????
# Sep 17 2005 at 9:55 AM Rating: Good
2 possibilities

Ever notice that sometimes you can seemingly float in midair when standing on certain objects? Others don't see it that way but you do. Sometimes mobs get close to the water, sometimes are in the water at the edge but they don't walk out in the middle of the moat.

Someone engaged a mob which linked. They either zoned, warped, or deathwarped. Mobs will walk on water to get back to their original positions.

Sometimes mobs will walk on water because in the SW and SE corner they have a bit more water in their area. They walk in the little pool/stream sometimes. This isn't the same as watching the placeholder pop in the NE corner and watching it walk through across the moat and up onto the middle platform.

i clarified the confusion over the new movement areas in the above post, however this is true also, but SE wanted to make the placeholder less apparent to thwart gil sellers and those who had found out the exact spawn pattern (like myself).
is this possible?
# Sep 08 2005 at 8:53 AM Rating: Decent
this is pretty cheap if it works, but could you switch out all yagudo monk skins to something such as a Behemoth or something, that way you wouldnt miss him and there are no other monks that pop in the area besides him. I changed my moogle skin so this has to work... right?

Details about pop conditions
# Sep 01 2005 at 11:08 AM Rating: Good
Here is how to camp Mee Deggi the Punisher

Details:
11 Total Yagudo
5x Fixed sub-areas (NE, NW, SE, SW, and Center)
2x Yagudo for each sub area
1x Placeholder (Has access to full area, hence why it walks on the water)

Yagudo will stick to their areas. PH is distinctive for walking on water... If you happen to notice it.

Use the Vanadiel Clock by the compass (/clock on) to time respawns. All 11 Yagudo pop as soon as 5 Vanadiel Hours. They can take as long as 5:10 Vanadiel hours. This is measured from Time of Death (ToD).

The gil-sellers use this information to time the death of the placeholder. If they know its death they can just pay attention to the clock. Since the NM will not pop for 1 hour after death, they can relax for an hour. Killing the PH more often does not seem to improve odds of forcing the pop.

Strategies that work to foil the gil-sellers is to kill all the mobs. Their strategy lies in timing the pops, using flee immediately before the expected pop, and each running in a different direction. If they do not know which mob is the placeholder, it will be difficult for them to time it.

The placeholder is always an Interrogator/Drummer. Each sub-area contains two pops. One is a Herald/Oracle and the other is an Interrogator/Drummer. If no PH's have been killed, and 3 Yagudos are in a particular sub-zone. One of the Interrogator/Drummers will be the PH.

This is as detailed as I will go. I have strategies for confounding gil-sellers. Even still, this is more information than anyone else would like to have get out.

Happy Hunting

this post is correct i use the same formula when i camp him i've camped him for 1 week so far im 2/14 on it once you get time TOD is is very easy to camp this nm. if you have a stopwatch with lap timing this will be cake and you will know when the nm will pop. they are going for 2.5mil. on unicorn but i sold mine for 2.0 mil yes if you go with a friend makes it alot easier to get the claim to. the gil sellers will always flee when time hits 12 minutes. place holder will spawn every 12 minutes after the nm or a place holder is taken out. once you get holder TOD and nm TOD you are set to camp Mee Deggi, good luck everyone and i hope the real players can use this info to fight gil sellers good luck
RE: Details about pop conditions
# Sep 04 2005 at 2:08 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, well what he says is all true except for one problem with that. On Hades atleast they dont just time the pop, they have programs that know which mob will be the PH and which will not. So thats why they always get it, it's not always because of it pops at a certain time. So your plan to foil them probably won't work. Otherwhise everything else in there is correct.

on the Valefor server theres a party or gilsellers: Jakiller, gordi, ooi, seofxdsm[i think], and another mithra i cant remember the name. they camp this and fuma kyahan 24/7 since March 2005, they also hack to claim the PH before it spawns, they also sed something in some foreign language which im considering as a threat...THESE MAD FOREIGN GILSELLERS MUST BE STOPPED!! tehy sell O. kote for 2mil and so far have the AH log screen filled with alternating names as to not arouse suspicion i guess

I've been camping this NM for the past couple days now. First time he spawned when I was there, he popped directly in front of me, I actually watched him materialize. I claimed him and started beating the crap out of him (RDM60/BLM30 btw) while a JP character is cheering me on and an NA is saying I should die. Killed, no drop. Stayed around for several more hours. Came back next day. Got him at least once more and never got drop. All I ever got was the knuckles, which are only about 3k on Siren server. In talking to that JP the next day, he told me the exact game minute when Mee would spawn. I know about the so-called Jesus Bird (the one who walks on water) and that 12 minutes after his death either another JB will spawn or MEE will, but these guys seem to know where also. I get how he knew the time, (just gotta convert 12 minutes earth into Vanadiel time) but at that exact time he hit flee and ran straight to it. I just don't get it, cuz he's spawned in a different place every time i've seen him as far as I can tell. Anyone got any ideas on his spawn points, cuz I can handle the time thing.

Also, Quizatsa, we should team up against this guy sometime. You're just about the only person from Siren I've ever seen post ANYTHING on these forums. Send me a /tell or I can do the same, but I badly need the money this ******* could give me/us.

Sorry about the long post all.
