After wanting to camp this biotch for years now, finally decided to sit it out and got him!! 1/1.
His recent ToD was 7:33 AM EST April 6th, so his next pop window "should" start at 4:33 AM EST April 7th. It was also Earthsday btw for those who think it pops on just Earthsdays. Does it? Iono...never really paid attention til now.
I also have all items for brown belt now, so if you're interested in purchase before I AH it, lemme know and I might hook you up ^^ (Titan Server, Laoiyah)

Got ToD from a friend, woke up in the wee hours of the morning, waited a little over an hour with 3 other competing campers and morbolger spawns right on top of me... his *** went down quick.

Morbolger died at approximately 7:30 am PST on the Ramuh server today. Of note that I didn't find anywhere on Allakhazam was that Morbolger only spawns on Earthsday according to the Brady Games guide. I don't know if that's true, but it was Earthsday when I killed him. Also, the Stropers are not placeholders, as Morbolger popped in-between Stroper spawn times. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Atlas clearly states "...every earth day" and not "...every Earthsday." It's just another way the Brady writers decided to say this mob has a 24-hr respawn, but instead totally screwed it up and confused a noob again.

Please Can I Have It?
Today was the big update and the following mantenance, and I got on promptly at 5:00 EST. I hunted this thing past 9:00 with NO POP. Either someone got it right as the server went back up, or the pop time never got reset when the server went back up. I need help getting this thing badly because I need money for my hauby >.<;
That is because if you look it's a 21hr pop which would put the new pop @ noon EST on the 21st.
Can anyone tell me ToD on seraph? It's about 1am right now.

Well today I got the ToD in fairy among other 20 people camping it.
We were waiting along time for it pop, even thou it was pop time(21hr already passed, so this could be 24 too. I have also seeing that it could be up to 36hrs).Anyways, I was there among some other people who needed the belt and those who wanted to sell it. The claimer right next a NIN, did the most AMAZING stunt ever. He litterally vanished and some how appeared right infront of the NM. When everyone notice, he was already killing it. Of course this is impossible in the game cause my internet didn't havr R:0 and my computer didn't freeze. So most common explaination this guy had some kind of Hacking system in which he is warped right infront of the NM and auto-claims the NM. Of course he got the drop (100% I heard) and warp freelly to jeuno to finish the quest. GMs were called but like always they didn't do anything to him(that I know off). Atleast I was able to see him.
I'm going to try my luck today, and see if I can get this drop among other people. If not I know the ToD again and this time invite my LS over to help.

I know a lot of people who invis themselves, I cant say it really gives them an advantage, but that could be an explaination. Tonko sounds better than some amazing 'hacking system'. Ive actually seen people invis themselves before the mob pops, I cant say it helps vrs me, but I can see how it can stun people who dont notice..
Well the PLD/WAR don't have Invisible or Tonko that I know off. This guy was 50 Feet away from the pop, and when it did, he did pop RIGHT infront of NM. Meaning this guy was in the portion of the room that is no were close to the entrance. Everyone did call a GM except me seeing that they only say "We'll investigate this matter" and never do something productive. Anyways, I did manage to claim this NM as a RDM/BST. The good part is that noone ever came back for some reason, and I had all the ToD myself, and some Japanese sitting there with me.He got the claim once, and the next day I was in the room with a PLD, and a DRK. DRK needed the Belt for the money, in which I don't really mind. . . but I wanted the belt for my MNK. So I started killing Stoppers, and it pop behind us(If you're looking straight to the exit it will be to your right.) and so I see it first(I didn't see the name cause it a rock was blocking the way), but it was way to huge to be a Stopper, so I just charmed it, and it took me a while to kill with the lack of MP but I did get the drop and gave the ToD to the PLD and DRK who well were annoyed by me. . . lol
Also noone really knows the ToD on Fairy but Sunday the ToD was 11:33PM. So if Monday someone got him it should be Early in the Morning to does who are in Fairy Eastern Time.
I got a Picture of my claim, I'll post it later on.

An instance in Davoi while camping Poisonhand. I saw a guy Duwowlks, gilsiller, who was a Mnk/thf Flee to the path AROUND the rock where he could not see, BEFORE Poisonhand popped and get the claim. So I can believe it.
There are Hacks tha allow that "Warp-Claim".

Your right about the Stroper Chymes not being the place holder. Morbolger spawned about a min after a stroper popped. The monk that was with me had it pop right on top of him and of course he got the claim. If not i would have made fun of him. I got 150k from him for helping wait him out =)

After 10 hours of camping, 20 someodd chymes (and a shikaree ring), 12 wind clusters, Morbolger died by my hand at 7:03PM EST Jan 3rd 06, come 3 hours early if you want to get this mob. Best help I can give is once the time starts ticking down keep focused, there are a lot of other campers here, mostly J ones that just stand around until the mob shows up.

I was here for 4 hours waiting for Morbolger. According to a certain post in the comments here, the stroper(morbol type) in this room is the placeholder, and will repop 10-15 minutes after being killed. The 10-15 minute part is true, that stroper will re-pop in about 12 minutes each time after being killed. For 4 hours I watched that stroper repop every 12 minutes, which gave me the impression I could go about my business outside of ffxi until about the time for the stroper to pop. But then one time about 2 minutes after the last stroper kill, I had been looking away, Morbolger popped right in front of me. Now I would have gotten it if I had known this could happen, most likely. I had looked over some other important posts because I had use find to search for "placeholder".
Conclusion~If stroper is, in fact, the placeholder, it will not respawn in the same amount of time as other stropers. Always be ready. Edit- It seems according to some other people that morbolger can be up at the same time as this stroper. This gives me an impression that Morbolger has no placeholder whatsoever, or that something else in the room is one.

i'm 43MNK/21WAR, Would i be able to survive against this thing solo? aswell as not get agro in the spawn room.
P.S Time of Death on Sylph Server would be nice if anyone knows it to its latest date. Been camping it as 65 Dark Knight but Stun is too slow and gets interupted alot for me.
