This is the first Notorious Monster i've ever fought and i must say its very boring waiting for the spawn. I did it as 24war/12mnk and got the sheild on the third fight. Maybe it was just luck, and im sure TH would have helped. A small party of lvl 18's could probably take it on no problem. I've also noticed that it spawns every 1h - 1h 30mins and the other NM, "Orcish Wallbreecher" spawns around 30mins after this one. Also this NM is hardly ever camped. Hope this info helps. Good luck!

I did get the shield bye myself as a Lv.24WAR/Lv.5THF. He not to hard at my level. But i made it easy because i used Raging Axe at 300% TP

I just killed them both at the same time....piece of cake....used waterga 3 times. Im a 23blm/11whm. No drop though. Better luck next time

I think you should have no problem at that level, I was able to take one around lvl 20, also took out the flamethrower at Fort Ghelsba with my 2 hr. scored as decent
yeah.I just owned it soooo bad. no drop though.... :(

in less then a week ive gotten the h2h weapon 3 times and just got the shield tonight for the first time!! YEAH
needless to say, my ranger will have the best gear for his levels.. currently at 19 and soloing worms in korroloka tunnel (when other people arnt killn them).
anyways.. ive killed the NM's about 10-15 times now with 4 drops.. thats pretty damn good id say. with hardly any work other then getting to the spawn site and waiting..
BTW.. i killed them with my lv 30mnk.. very easy battles

Just killed Wallbreacher -- no drop... only Fire Crystal. :(

The Barricader ive killed for 1/5 and the Wallbreacher 0/5. The shield sells for 40k in sandoria on asura and the h-h for 23k or so. Waiting atm for my shield to sell on ah.

I've camped these this and the wallbreacher and killed them both about 30 times... EACH... on the lakshmi server, i even had a lvl 56 thief camp a couple of times, still no drop, i really want the shield for my RDM, *sigh* i just want them to drop :(
I've been camping this place for a few days, and got 2 sets of Strike Bags and 2 Lantern Shields so far. Killed each of them about ten times.
First time I went there was as a WAR/MNK, lvl 24, and they were both waiting for me. I killed the two, and got the Strike Bags, which sold for 30k in San. Anyways, after the first time, it got really hard to get the drop, so I decided that I needed Treasure Hunter.
I leveled the THF to 15 (which was a pain in the ***) and then went back as a PLD/THF and in 4 kills I had 1 lantern shield and 1 pair of strike bags. My luck faded after that, but I can definitely notice the difference. I recommend using a lvl 15 THF sub to hunt these, because its just a waste of time otherwise.
Also, if you need some extra gil, you can just go fight the orcs that are around the area and as long as your level is 24+ you'll be able to pull in about 1.5k per hour with THF gil finder. This makes for a fun time when you consider that there is another NM in that area, and also a river for fishing. You can spend a whole day farming, NM hunting, and raising your fishing skill and hopefully have a 30k drop to show for it! Anyway, hope this helps somehow. Good luck!

Needless to say there is always at least one person there camping the Wallbreacher and Barricader. Ive camped 2 nights total and only got 1 Lantern Shield, but i started killing Orcs while i waited for spawn and i made 20k just off gold drops :)

Hunted these for bout 7 hrs 3 night ago.I got 2 lantern shields and one pair of strike banahkans they sold in total 90k at sandoria AH.Needless to say i have money now :)

I used to camp that thing a lot, only got 3 sheilds from the barricader and 1 strike bagnakhas from the breacher.(pardon my poor spelling). the sheild sells for about 24k and the hand to hand sells for about 32k in jeuno

The Orcish Barricader, as with the Orcish Wallbreacher, has a base spawn time of 60 minutes. Thanks to a change late last year, there is also a variance time of up to + 50%, or 30 minutes. I have spent 5 days here, 5-12 hours per day and they always spawn between 60 and 90 minutes. hope this helps.

Barrcader spawns there, about every 70-100 minutes (seems to vary, tho the average is about 90 minutes).
The spawn of the barricader is not related to the spawn of the wallbreacher, other than they're on about the same cycle times and appear in the same place. I've seen both at once.
Because of the regularity of the spawn and the rarity/demand for the shield, this is camped often by lvl20+ people.
With RNG and "Wide Scan", you can run around this whole little section and see when either of these or the Thousandarm Deshglesh spawn, so you've got three mobs on about an hour and a half timer. Not too bad.
Oh, for the record, I've killed the barricader about 10-12 times, "only" gotten the shield once. 26k in Jueno on Unicorn.

ive seen it there, but its usually camped by high level japanese players. spawn time is once every hour.

I've seen a guy get chased out of there by a wallbreacher once, but every time I went back the place was empty...they do show up there, don't know how or why

Has anyone actually ever seen him there? Does he only spawn at a certian time? Never seen the Wallbreacher or the Barricader at that location so I think the location is wrong - that area is empty.

Yeah they are both there, the drops are very rare though, i wonldnt suggest doing it unless you have TH. On ragnorok they arnt camped all that much.
