dia, acid will lower their def which can help you a lot, the "check" did not lie, it's their spells like hard shell or def up magic that is the problem, without them, they are nothing
I'm a level 25 Elvaan Warrior. I conned a Copper Quad, he was easy. I thought I could win against an easy. I was wrong. I healed myself for about 90 points, and still lost this fight.
at 23 thf/11war I really needed a party of AT LEAST 2 to fight them for the key. now up to 27 thf/11 war (havn't lvl'd sub in a while) I can take them solo.
Agreed, at THF25/WAR12 these quadav are more of an even match then an easy. If I don't get my sneak in at start of the fight I'm in for a tough fight and start thinking about when I use "flee".
That is true, what you said about opening with Sneak Attack. I conned a Copper quadav as decent challenge, opened with sneak and dodged most of the attacks he laid on me (lvl23 thf/mnk). Easy kill ... but no key :(
