Meh, {Too weak to be worthwhile.}

I just read every post cuz this is hilarious... I was omw to get a scorp harness crafted in windurst (KSNM 30 dropped claw for me :D) and was on the ship, a thf in my LS kept spamming <t> (Bloodtear Baldurf) so I /check everyone on the ship, spot a lv 75brd/whm, offer up 20k for a tele to holla, he sends a /t back 5 mins later, gives me a free port, get there, the thf invites me (63thf/nin) I think he's 59thf/nin, a few other LS mates come out after a little while, anyhoo I tanked this thing no prob, didn't need to have voke cuz my daggers were doin 100+ per hit (I do less damage on too weak mobs lol) anyway he uses max hp down, gets lucky on a few swings and takes my shadows off before I can get em back up, 2 crit hits and I die, get a raise, get shadows up and SA dancing edge for 1100 dmg, tanked the rest of the fight weakened. This thing is pitiful for a HNM, I could probably solo if I had bloody bolts on me, we got the shield drop btw, good stuff.

you can solo this guy at lvl 65rdm. My friend alone soloed it once at 65 15-20minutes and at 70 10-15 minutes. all u need to do is make smart moves. when it uses mighty strikes or max hp down is one of the only times youll be at a high risk of dying. goodluck to all 65+rdms

Nin not sure about. prolly the same amount of time, me personally never witnessed a ninja solo it.

Wow, a Lv. 63 Notorious Monster in La Theine Plateau. So how does it spawn? If it's in such a low leveled area there has to be something to it. The shield is as expensive as the first year of college.. and I can understand why people would want to kill this guy but.. why in La Theine?

I was expecting something tough... not something that hits for less than the crabs I solo in Gustav. He has pitiful accuracy, and when he did manage to hit me, it did 35 to my DRG/WHM. Our NIN got petrified with no WHM around to Stona, and he never got hit once while petrified.

He uses Mighty Strikes like it's Provoke, but he hits for so little it's not an issue.

Bloodtear IS not a 60-72hr pop.
Tuesday i killed him @ 6PM something. a few skins and a horn. no shield. ; ;
I was 75RDM/37WHM.
the next day i get into LPT around 6PM (24 hr mark), and start killing rams. Not once did i see or kill Lumbering Lambert. around 8:30pm a friend of mine shows up to help kill rams (silverknight). 9:15pm Bloodtear pops i cast Paralyze, then stoneskin. (again i was RDM/WHM) another* friend show up just for fun on whm and a title ( Reoh = sexy). no shield ;; stupid pos ram. Atleast i finally paid his a** back for all the times he killed me when i was a noob >.>

Just trio-ed Mr. Baldurf. 63 RDM/8 RNG (me, with my horribly underlevelled farming sub), 61 BLM/WHM and 63 WHM/BLM. Didn't really have any trouble, despite being totally unprepared for his arrival.

We were waiting for him to spawn, my BLM husband and I, and he was AFK when Bloodtear appeared on Widescan. Eh, the plan was that I'd go change subs, come back and then start the fight. But that plan soon went out the window. Too many 75s in the area, so we thought "what the hell" and went for it. Our WHM friend arrived about 3 mins later. :)

I've seen some other sites list this as a 60-72 hour lottery spawn of Lumbering Lambert, but this isn't true. I saw Bloodtear at the same time yesterday, but was unable to get there in time before he was claimed. We saw L.L first, about 40 mins to an hour later, Bloodtear spawned.

I used Boiled Cockatrice (for the added Attack bonuses and Resist Petrify), DD rings instead of INT rings. The fight must have taken us approx. 15 minutes. Just kept chipping away at him. No shield, only 12 exp, an Earth Cryst and Ram Horn to show. But we get the great title and the satisfaction of proving certain people in my linkshell wrong. Priceless.

I was soloing around my DRK15 when I heard a /shout saying Bloodtear was out, I immediately called LS people and friends who had been hunting it lately... no answer from anyone but a PLD75 (Teejaytee) and a 65BLM (Neochaos), I, almost instantly, killed myself with Bloodtear and switched my job to RNG, and asked for a Teleport-holla.
So I widescan and get to Bloodtear, he is still unclaimed, I wait up for Teejaytee, people start gathering around, Teejay on a choco and I was on foot, I caught aggro when trying to poke it. Teejay drops choco and battle starts. By this time Neochaos was still in Jeuno, trying to get a teleport. PLD starts building hate while I basically melee it. I get enough TP to Slug Shot, so I do it, I get hate... Teejay Covers me *Thank you Teejay* until he gets hate back, I keep meleeing. Bloodtear then uses Rage, which made my knife hits go from 10-13 to 30-40, I get hate again (Bloodtear is still in 9/10 HP at this point). I decided to kill myself for the PLD was running low on MP. I do Slug shot > Barrage > Slug Shot > Eagle Eye Shot, I take it down to 7/10's HP. I die about 15 seconds later (poor Utsusemi couldnt take hits double and triple hits ; ;).
PLD seems to be in trouble but then BLM arrives and keeps him alive while I switch to my RDM48 and get back to the Plateau. I just refreshed and chilled while BLM and PLD killed it.
It dies after 10-15 minutes of fighting it drops dead. We beat the ram on steroids!
Finally I got revenge for those times I died as a noob by it, had died on 3-4 different jobs in the past year I've been playing... yes... Revenge is sweet.
Anyway, got Lumbering Horn, 4 skins, 2 horns... no shield, I also got the title ^^. I really wanted those 3mil from the shield ; ;.

Thanks to Teejaytee and Neochaos who made this my first HNM killed.

Was making my way to Sandy from Selbina after a cabbage run and figured Id check out the Ram spawns.

Saw a ram, with a few people lurking around, si I hit Dia to pull.

Trouble is, I didnt notice the name of the mob until the shock of a critical hit that nearly wiped me out completeley.

TIP: Check the name of a mob before you attack it. Especially as a solo 30 RDM/BLM. :(

The spawn for this seems incredibly rare, and I think the map shown here is wrong too.

i was trying to get my lanolin cube, something I have spent 10+ hours on, and it was about 5 AM, so I figured I would be able to grab a few rams. I guess I forgot that other countries play at this time of night. So there was another person running the spawn points, a 68+ J player, so I got really angry but then laughed pretty hard when he pulled this guy. It was fun to watch him run for awhile until he realized he could just put up his flag and watch the other people running with him kill it for him. I was hoping he would die, but he didnt. Better luck next time, bloodtear.

i was a 25rng/12nin and got hit by taking pictures >< bad dea i got hit 256dmg and fell.
im already getting rdm high to get my revenge.
