No it doesnt have the same spawn time as spook...its about a 1 hour spawn....keep killing the bats in the room and hell spawn in an hour...bat spawns are around every 8 minutes

I Dont care if it is or isnt a NM But I like the drop =d im 5/7 on CG and 15/24 on spook ^^
I am 0/22 on him. 5 people camp this guy almost everyday. My friend came after I gave up and she got em on her first try, luckily, She gave them to me right before I went to Khazam. That extra Agi is really nice.

i meant to include a message in that last post but accidentally hit enter after typing the subject haha. Crypt Ghost is very easy and rarely camped. I think ninja's should be able to wear them. i mean come on the stats on the slacks are perfect for ninja's /cry

The first time i saw spook i was 15 THF and i was running around Kings tomb for bat wings. I never heard of spook but it was so uncamped that it was out kinda far away from the kings grave. So i treid to fight it and i died. I asked my friend to raise me and he did. Spook was still there so he let me get my revenge, no mantle tho. Next time i went out there, there is always atleast 5people atleast camping it. Im gonna try it again tonight.
Ok so I decided to go get my traveler's mantle from spook because the price had shoot up from 15k when I started to 50k on Lam. There are about 5 ppl there all camping spooky. I try and try, but this other cat keeps getting him. I decided to try the Crypt ghost. I walk down there, and BAM he is sitting there waiting for me. I checked him to see how he gages; easy--. I decided to rest up and take him on. After defeating him, I get the martial slacks. I was so happy. So I figured I'll just camp him again and get another pair to pay for the traveler's mantle. Well I kept falling asleep, but I finally got him. Too bad no slacks. Maybe next time.

i cant believe that people still think that just because it doesn't check "impossible to gauge" it's not an nm.....
The definition of an nm is if there is only 1 type of mob in a small area and nowhere else.... as well as "impossible to gauge"... i may get flamed for this but think about it.... and also look at the top of the page under Flags: and i believe it states

therefore... it is in fact an nm..

Next time you kill one of these puesdo-NMs look at what the chat logs says. It will say "(insert your name here) defeats THE (insert mob name here)."
When you defeat an actual NM it will say "insert your name here) defeats (insert NM name here). Without the "the" it signifies that it is NOT a NM. The definition of NM is a special type of a mob in a familty that actually has a specific name. A Crypt Ghost is different than just Crypt Ghost, you wouldn't call your friend "The Bob." NMs are mobs with names and that are harder than the regular type.

But yet, if you kill Simurgh it says [So and So] defeats The Simurgh.
Being a rare spawn doesn't make it an NM. It technically isn't unless it does con Impossible to Gauge. Tremor Rams for instance. Only one of those spawn at a time. They're sure as hell not NMs.

Um... I've seen 2 tremor rams at once befor and also tehre is stray marry. That is not a small area either. It should be a NM though.
umm, no it doesnt necessarily have to be a small area, look at LL's spawn

umm ive been able to make it spawn every 35mins...so 1hr 15 is slow... 24/78 Spook

As me and my wife were camping this today we discovered that it spawns constantly every hour and 15 minutes as long as all the bats are killed during that time frame. So we didn't get bored sitting around we staggered killing the bats and ever hour and 15 minutes for the whole day Crypt Ghost spawned. Next time we camp it I'll see if it spawns in place of the 36th bat with no time base. 6/11 for the drop now. Happy hunting

Ummm thats wrong. In the guide Spook, Crypt Ghost, and Goblin Gruel are not classified as Nm's.

in the guide? oh you mean the one from brandy games that doesn't even have all the weapons, hardly any of the quests, and is missing some areas. You mean that guide?
Yea the guide from Brady, which is also about a MMORPG which is updated practically every day with new items, quests, and mobs.

I have camped this mob for awile now... and every time it takes 5 sets of bats for the CG to spawn.
2/9 on CG

Last night it took 7 and this morning it ounly took one.
Don't ask me why but i was in the tomb yesterday playing as a RNG/DRG lol and i saw the Crypt Ghost i stood there looking at him for a while wondering what i would get if i killed him so i jumped him Barrage him and he was dead got the slacks although i already had them it was a decent drop sells for 25-30k not certain on the spawn time cause i waited for about an hour for him to spawn agian and nothing,so I left but I will kill him agian only cause you get a decent drop from an ez *** NM.

I hunted this w/ a THF w/ Treasure Hunter 2 and didnt get the slacks but then I soloed it and got the drop <_<(1/2). 22k @ Jeuno. Somewhat makes up for my disappointments w/ Jaggedy-Eared Jack. First NM drop so don't hate me.

allright, i figured i would go see what te NM would drop. so, i happily go downt to the place, thinking it would be easy as pie, and there is a door blocking my way in.... anyone know how to open the door. sorry if this is a newbish question XD

K 1st off this guy isnt even an nm cause its not ITG. however it has all the same characteristics of an nm, meaning u have to kill its placeholders (which in this case r a different mob for the actual so-called nm) they r tomb bats and there is a total of 3 of them. Ive killed the ghost 4 times jus to pass time while waiting for the insanely camped spook. Im 0/4 on it but only had thf (TH1) once when i killed it and its only cause i have no need for the slacks it drops atm. Usually i hunt nms till i get the drop and im VERY efficient at this. Im jus hoping to get the slacks to sell in this rare occasion to pay for a travelers mantle cause its pretty much impossible to get spook connected on dial up:( So to finish this off this non-nm spawns about every hr like alot of nms.
Here's a run down of the Crypt Ghost.
1) This is not a Notorious Monster. He does not con "Impossible to Gauge."
2) Chances are if you're 22+ with TP 100% before starting the fight, you can beat it. Might be difficult if you are any type of mage though.
3) It has been changed how many bats spawn between his spawn time. His spawn is not on a clock, it is on the bats. It used to be three sets of bats would spawn and on the fourth, he would take the place of one of the three bats. Last time I camped him, however, it was five sets of bats and on the sixth he spawned.
4) Drop rate is good on this guy I have gotten slacks two or three times in a row.
5) He will spawn during Vana'diel days or nights it does not matter.
6) While I was camping him I watched the clock he spawns about every hour and ten minutes if someone is killing bats as they spawn.
That about does it I think.

Does this spawn anytime during the day or it spawns at night only?

ok i have been doin spook a lot and i think this is easyier and more fun. u get bat wings ect. and its very easy 2 get. just got pants that makes 2 pairs in 2 days. half hr of camping for each
I am 0/2 on the CG, and I camped it late night with no other competition, hes really easy to kill and while im waiting for spawn i just kill skeles for bone chips which are 4k a stack on Fairy. I can get nearly a whole stack on bone chips inbetween spawns too.

can a lvl 32dark/16war handle this mob solo? if not i guess i can bring along my lvl 19blm/8whm brother :) what is his spawn rate hit me up

Ok, I have never hunted the CG, but I was trying to farm in the tomb area and figured I'd give it a try. I'm a 28THF/14WAR and I solo'd the CG. I was resting up after fighting the bats and was about 30hp from my max. CG spawned and began to attack me. I did not get a chance for a Sneak Attack, and I still beat this guy. I think that the 'as a lvl 30 mnk....2 hr to beat him.' is a bunch of poo. The reason I say this? We all know that a THF has a hard time trying to solo w/o VIPER BITE/SNEAK ATTACK. I did it, I think you probably can as well.
no, you couldn't. As a level 30 monk I believe I had to two-hour to beat him.

I just did beat him. There is no reason for me to lie. I had to use my 2 hr as well, and walked away with about 30 hp, but I did it.
As a 30WAR/15THF I can pretty easily beat him as long as I'm at least close to full health. I don't suggest any melee job under 30 try to fight him and any mage job under ~35.

ok heres my story i was campin spook with my step bros char and decided to go see if any1 was camping this dude. Went down there and saw a guy runnin out and thought dangit he just killed CG so i wait a while kill some bats and CG spanws! i kill him get drop and sold slacks for 30k :D
