Me and 2 other mates are goin to fight this at lvl 30, lvl 30 WAR(me), 30 whm, 30 blm, can it be done???

Since I didn't see anyone posting about soling this as a WHM, at lvl 58 you can do it without taking any damage with just flash, stoneskin, and blink. Took 5 mins, but no damage ^^
lol when i went on my hume my 60 sam friend bashed it in with a harpoon i saved for when i get the job, tp tp tp. it was insane. we came close to the record too.
so i'm assuming as a 50 rdm i could take this guy? would SA WS do ok after sleep 2? or what. phalanx is the shiz.

38 sam/war, 47blm/rdm, killed it in 3 minutes, even though the macros the sam was to use to pull off three distortions didn't work.
It did get us both into yellow health, but that's about it for it'soffensive capacity, never even got the chance to use any specials or so.

As a THF55/NIN, I had NO trouble soloing this mob. If I hadn't been lazy and cheap with my shihei, I wouldn't have gotten hit once.

I'm gonna go in DRK61/THF30 and sleep 2 him and SA Souleater Last Resort Guillotine and see if I can one shot him. Icarus Wing of course. That should set the record for a bit
I was anxious to see if I could handle this fight as a 43DRG with the help of a 33WHM. We defeated it in under 5 minutes. I used steamed crab and made some pineapple juice for the healer. It was a fairly easy fight at these levels.
Well, I decided to do the Dragoon quest. No reason really, I've no interest in being a Dragoon myself, but I thought it'd be fun nonetheless.
I decided to solo him, see how well I'd do. I really didn't know much except what I've read off the forums.
I, when I battled him, was a 44RNG/22NIN. I figured soloing would be very difficult, so I bought 4 Hi potions and took another regular potion with me.
It was an exciting battle (I recorded the whole thing)
I entered with a Protect II on me (from a kind Teleporting White Mage not long earlier), Ate Rice Dumplings, and cast Utsusemi: Ichi the moment I entered battle.
I started off with a Barrage, then hit him a few times, Used Piercing Arrows, hit him a few more times, Used Eagle Eye Shot, hit his yet a few more, and used piercing arrow two more times (all while casting Utsusemi: Ichi and using Hi potions over and over)
By luck he missed me quite often (thank you +Evasion gear!) And I killed him .. I used all four of my hi-potions and my regular potion as well. I started with 633 HP and ended with 163 (after using the pots mind you) and won, of course. Took me about 4:15 to beat alone like that.
Sadly I did something to the video and fogot to make a backup ; ; so I can't post it on the net *sigh* Ah well.
Any rangers around my level, bring along at least 6 hi pots to be saffe if you're soloing this... most other classes ... bring more.

HAHAHAHHA yeah hes a panzy me (55 blm/27rdm) friend drg (50drg/25war) and a 31 rdm raaaaaaaped him killed him in 56 seconds and i didnt even start nuking, stone 3 300+ dmg, water 3 300+ dmg firaga 2 290+ dmg, penta thrust 300+ dmg yeah he stood no chance at all

Rofl, that's like me saying man, I saw this Forest Hare the other day, I raaaaped him! Of course you're going to own him if you are higher than he is, and especially if you have a party of three with two members higher than him. -_-; But hey, good for you. ^-^

ima lvl 51 war / 25 mnk can i solo this?
i'd say u can solo it. i did it as a 30 rdm and took a 55war with me and i didnt cure him once. he ended the fight with about half his life left. he raped him with rampage. i'd suggest if u really wanted to own this guy use a sam.all the tp + the 2 hour. and bring along a couple of icuras wings if u can find ne and i think ne one thats melee areoud 45+ will be jus fine. o and some potions too
Soloable at 54 Red Mage, took 4 minutes without food.

Ok, my friend was helping me get Dragoon and we were on this part of the quest. At first, it all went well. I was 34 Drk/War and she was 50 Pld/Rdm. I was just fighting it normally when she starts to disconnect. Unfortunatly she was facing the wrong way while she was doing it and so she wasn't fighting or anything so the dragon started hitting me. I was scared. It was hitting 34 and I only had 630 hp altogether. My 2 hour wasn't ready yet so I couldn't do that and so I was hopeless. Then, my friend started moving and started attacking it, right after I died! She started fighting it and then all of a sudden, she started casting raise. She got interrupted about 5 times and then used aquaveil (yes, there is a useful time for it) and casted it one more time, successfully. So I was alive, barely, and wanted revenge on it. I stood there, waiting for myself to attack (Weakness and a Scythe is a bad combo) and hit it one last time for 54. I ran up to the gate to get away from the dragon. My friend, wanted to scare me so she chased me around with the dragon. We were idiots, but soon after, we beat it.

Me (war/drg) just used A.Circle, 2hour, and provoke right off the bat and the rest was all the blm nuking it while I added some so-so hits with my 2hour. Took him down in 2mins 31 seconds
As noted under It's weakness Drain very well Demonic Sword Dark damage effect went off at least every other hit as well.

Anyone know if this thing resists Sleep or Bind?
Because i'm a lvl 50RDM/25BLM and i'm thinking of soloing it and it would be good to be able to sleep it or bind and take cover while i use Convert...

ok i am a lvl 56 whm and i am able to solo easy prey mobs... though it takes a while and a lot of my resorces do you think i could actually solo this guy.....
i woudl bring items like steamed crab, yagudo drinks and eithers.... and potions just in case....
think i can do it???
i have soloed 2 easy prey mobs ay once one time ^_^ was left with 200 Hp and 30 mp out of 560 hp and 840 mp
EDIT: also i can use smn, blm, brd subs....
with smn i can bring out carby starburst --> poison nails = transfixtion MB holy ^_^ big dmg combo and lots of fun to do... dismiss and wait for TP and let MP regen...

I was 60rng/30nin and decided to do this quest since i was bored. So i do the beginnning and entered the battle field, i treated this guy sorta like Maat, first i sharpshot then barrage, then i run in shadowbind and the barrage, then i run in and 2 hr, then i do a normal attack then Sidewinder, DEAD!!, killed in 50 seconds and broke record on Unicorn for that day or watever ^^;

WHOA! me and my friend did this at 44wh/19 blm (me) and 32rdm/14blm (my lil cuz) we decided we would try it just for fun... we knew we'd die... so we made sure our beds were in place, i made juice, we buffed... and we forgot the meat kabobs... so we used roast mushrooms just in case we decided to heal in battle.. and the extra mp...
so, we get in, in dia2ed him, and he wipes blink, 3 hits later my stoneskin is gone, so i take advantage of my aquavail. and recast, (blink tanks eat your heart out!) so, we do this over and over for a lil bit, till our WSs are ready, so, he unleashes burning blade, and i seraph strike, Skilchain: Fusion 85, which is alot better than the 6 we were doing with normal atacks... at this point he hits half hp, and my cuz (on the phone with me at the time) said "whoa! He's at half! we might actually beat this thing" so i keep up the whm tank act, and we wail on him some more... i tell him to heal, and then the drag aoe dispells after he gets like 60 mp, but were using melon juices, so we still had some, and at next ws, mine was at 200, and it did, 218, and burning blade did 14, (i'm guessing he's strong to fire...) we reversed the order so i could rest while he fights, and thus liquification did 0, and i sit down, the drag's near a smidge, and starts wailing on us, so i bene, and start fighting, and... WE KILLED HIM!!! wecouldn't breath fpr a few mins, and i'm still trying to pick my wyverns name as i type this...
so to all those who recruited high lvl people to do this quest for/with them, i say "meh" to you, the best way to do most anything in here is with close friends. maybe our bond of freindship sliced him in half... lol
oh and btw, we got 7xp... lol

I fought this dragon with an LS friend for thier quest. She was a 47RNG/NIN(I think sub is right) and and I was a 31DRG/15WHM. She almost died near the end but I hit him with a Double Thrust to pretty much finish it off.

do you think a 42drk/war or thf and a 35rng/nin can solo it? with 2hrs?
I was a lvl 30 blm/15whm when i took it with my friend. Needless to say he was lvl 50 but i used my 2hr at start and it was pointless i heal him maybe 4-6 times. And he would have easily killed it without heals. He didnt use 2hr. Just make sure to build tp to 300%. It will be close.
