A friend in my LS asked me to hunt Mysticmaker with him. He was a level 54 BLM and I was a level 56 RDM. We needed one more person so we had help from a 58 RNG from our LS also. We headed to Onzonzo and found a level 60 THF and a level 59 RDM camping the spot already. We decided to clear the room a little because everything was checking EP, when all of a sudden our BLM accidently warped himself back to his home point! Five minutes later Mysticmaker spawned. I beat the 59 RDM to it with Dia and realized we were probably gonna die. I used Chainspell, thank goodness, cuz the RNG's HP was dropping fast. He used Eagle Eye Shot, Barrage and Sharp Shot. He was almost dead and I ran out of MP, I decided to Convert and just as I did, he used and AoE, and I deleveled! The RNG had less than 100 HP left when he used his Sidewinder and killed it. We got the earring and Thundaga III! My first time in Onzonzo and we made out great, barely.

This guys is actually very easy, but I think it would be a hard fight as just a 60RDM, it took the combined efford of Me 56RDM and a friend 61RDM to kill him. The fight varries in difficulty, depending on links, and what spells he uses. We killed him 4x in 1 night, only got one drop and it went to our 50BLM friend who organized the journey.
Well, for rdm solo, anchent magic should not be a problem. Therse plenty of time to cast blink.

I just took it with a lvl60 sam (I'm lvl60blm), sam used his 2 hour and it helped a lot. He resisted my 3 stun (dark magic at 213) and my seal + sleep 2, but my slow/para/frost/poison etc all landed easily. My nuke were getting resisted more then I wished so I just enfeeble/heal.

I was all alone in Onzozo and Mysticmaker here was taunting me (Go on, try and kill me.) but Im only 57 and everything in the area will agro. I think of a brilliant idea: Elemantal Seal a Sleep II re-invis/sneak, run to zone and hope he doesn't bring any friends on the way to me. So I try it. My ES Sleep II was resisted...I didn't know what to do and I was panicing. I cast invis (I cast sneak just prior to attacking because it ran out) and ran for it. Well I went the wrong way and didnt know where I was going and as I passed a sea monk it attacked me. I run even more...a scorpion attacks me and because I got hit my invis went away. Now I'm being attacked by Mystic, a sea monk, a scorpion and 3 gobs. I concede defeat and use my Chainspell+Warp macro. Show up back in jeuno with 170 hp. Not too close but since I had 6 mobs on me another second would have killed me.
I wonder if all the people saying "oh just stun him out of his ancient magic" have ever actually tried it. This guy resists Stun like nobody's business ^^;;. Next time I fight him I'll try ESealing it, but certainly I would say that before lv60 or so it's very hard to land Stun on him (no idea about stunning weapon skills, I'm a mage, what do you want? ^^).

Killed this easily at 61 as a RDM/BLM, the NM itself is not difficult, the problem is at my level I got agro from Cocatrice and the other goblins. Thankfully a trio of high level player killed the links so I could take him on.
Shame it did not drop the earring for me, got 6000gil, 21 exp, Thunder4, goblin mask and armor :-(

Mystic "meager" Profblix can be wooped proper with a party of mid 50s with ease. I don't know why anyone even said this goblin is hard... stun him if he starts casting ancient magic. This goblin dropped the earring on the first kill and he died very fast.

Beat this thing with BLM61, WHM62, DRK61. the DRK got hit by Stone III once, wasn't pretty.. but i think we got lucky, when it used manafont the only thing it did was Stone III > Drown > Burn > Frost > Rasp. DRK used his 2H, i had to use mine since i was out of mp.

So you think a 59 rdm and 60 nin could take this? this ninja is good in that he can tank avatars at 56 and i'm not that bad of a rdm either...

Earlier this morning, my party and I were leveling up on cockatrices and goblins with ease. We saw this thing spawn once and destroy a poor level 65 tarutaru black mage with freeze, so we were quite scared of the thing already. Around 2 hours and 20 minutes later, the thing spawned again and I decided to pull it in hopes of this guy having crazy drops.
Let me just say, this battle was quite ugly. My party consisted of a Galka Paladin(48), Hume Redmage (47), Elvaan White Mage(48), Hume Samurai(48), Mithra Thief(47), and me, a Galka Ranger(48). At the start of the battle, the samurai provoked, in which the thief Trick and Sneak attacked off the Paladin. All was going well for 2 minutes, until it used Manafront (Black Mage 2hr). This thing had to have fast cast as well or something, because he was practically chain casting spells. One minute the party was at full health, the next minute the entire party was at around 30% health. If it wasn't for the insanely skilled japanese healers in our party, we would have lost for sure. This goblin has the potential of dealing out massive damage in a very short period of time to an entire party.
His drop was only Thunder IV, goblin mask, and 3 fire crystals. We were all expecting more with a thief that had Treasure Hunter 2. /sob

Why are you not using Silence on mobs like this?
Camped him for about 6 hrs yesterday. It was me(47 BLM), a 59 NIN, a 47 PLD, and a BRD that was anonymous, but I'd guess about level 65. The bard was dealing with adds for most of the fight, so it was me, the NIN and the PLD. After reading all of the posts here I was a little worried, but the fight was freakishly easy. We were able to handle him, a gob and a cockatrice with a little bit of room to spare. Of course the ninja rocked so that made it easy. I didn't cast much because I had my finger on the stun button waiting for the ancient magic.
