God, I hate this guy, he spams bomb drops like no tomorrow.
Was in exp party last night lvl 56-58, when i got there they said "Do you need Obow?" I was like wtf... are u kidding me? lol and i saw NM when i got to camp, so i hurried along my 75 RDM/NIN friend, and my 62 WHM brother and good friend 62 RDM along to help, we allianced with my PT and attacked. RDM died due to EES when shadows were down >.> PLD tanked for a while, until he was about 10% left, then blm dies from Ancient Magic lol. We had raised the RDM in the mean time, and he was fighting again, i bust a Sidewinder and Barrage, and hes dead. Got EVERYTHING... but the Obow -.- (Even 7 exp lmao)
From when ive seen from exping there... hes rarely camped on Fenrir server.

I wish your four hour pop time theroy was true, but you just got lcuky. I was there for seven hours tonight, one pop, only campers so no one else killed it, and the thief that was exping there for 1 1/2-2 hours before me said he hadnt seen it. We were killing every mob in the U shaped area. So, you can assume that it was atleast 9 hours since his last ToD. No drop by the way...

Camped 24/7 my foot.
Went leveling at lvl 60 here to chain the VT crabs/gobbu. We literally walked up and saw him fade into view. Neither party wanted to bother (no rangers in either) so we just happily watched him plod along for a good while before he went off the widescan of someone in our party who had widescan from RNG sub. Don't know if he was killed or not.

haha wyvernpoachers placeholders are the WHM, BST and WAR type mobs that level 55-59 XP parties fight. you were camping him in the wrong area...

Ok this is a long story kind of but I hope you enjoy.
So I (68 RNG/NIN) decide to head to Gustav just to see if a exp party was there and if I could ask for there help if it popped.
I'm there for about an hour with no luck on anyone killing the gobs. Then a 71 MNK/WAR and a 69 WHM/BLM show up needing a whm testimony. I decide to help out and we begin to pull Goblin Alchemists and any other gobs in the way.
After awhile of killing with no testimony, a 75 MNK/NIN and a 75 PLD/NIN show up looking to get this NM. So as we kill all the gobs as they basically are just standing there looking for the NM to pop.
WHM suggests that they alliance and help us, but the MNK refuses. She didn't want competition if we kill the NM and the obow drops. I blist her and go on killing gobs.
Later Wyvernpocher pops as the 75 MNK is fighting off agro from a gob. The PLD who was just standing next to us the whole time claims somehow (not sure what he used) and then attempts to kite it as mnk finishes off other gob. It goes unclaimed after about 3 seconds and I shadowbind it.
So our monk starts to tank it with hundred fists as the other MNK and PLD start crying cause we stole it from them. NM is at half health as it EES our monk down to 100 hp. I EES to steal hate so whm can Cure V the MNK. Our MNK then provokes it and we finish it off easily.
After the fight I get all these tells cussing at me cause I stole it. Well maybe you should help next time instead of just standing there doing nothing?

i recently was exp partying in gustav tunnel and had just got Drk to 60, he pops and our thf wants to pull it, but everyone in the party was too scared to, so we made an allience with the other party that was there, our thf pulls him and he brings an alchemist and a Shepard ><, their party takes the 2 links and we go to work on him,our pld have to use invincable and there smn used Astral flow, Tidal Wave quickly they finish the links, but we are about to fall apart. They jump in and our pld get most of its health back whle there nin takes over. Then My Scyth Skill Finally got to 200 near the end of the battle and i got Guillotine! So i have about 230% tp and i Berserk + Last Resort Guillitine and it hits for 860! but it didnt kill Wyvernpoacher, as much as i thought it would. but shortly after he dies. He dropped 3 Fire crystals, a gold beastcoin, goblin armor, goblin mask and Othinus's Bow! So everyone starts lotting on everything, i pass the fire crystals hoping it will increase my lot, then i lotted on the gold beastcoin,... a 4! then i look at what others got on the bow, and someone has a 986. so i lot and i get an Amazing 997!!!!! So i just got the Best Bow in the game, or so ive heard. but my rng is only 20... but one day i will use that bow. i swear it.
You and anyone else without RNG lvled who lotted are all bastards -.-, do you know what RNGs go through to get that? Grr..whats a rare/ex item DRKs need? Well I have no idea =P, but how would you feel if someone else lotted on it...Oh, but I have a 20 DRK, maybe I'll need this some day. Bah, just pissed off...as most RNGs are who don't have a "miracle" story to post all happy here. Getting this bow sucks -.-
Got him to drop last night, party setup was 67rng, 67sam, and 67 rdm.
From what we was expecting, we was pleasently suprised at a fairly straight forward fight.
We basically pulled it to the top of the tunnel, and had it bound in place by the rdm, at which point i unloaded a sidewinder and barrage for a fair bit, we then kited him around the top area whilst he was constantly gravity'd, and binding him in place when i needed to recast shadows.
i was lucky in the fact that my last shadow absorbed ees, and after around 6-7 minutes he dropped dead, during which i had EES, barraged and sidewinder'd.
We was lucky however that at one point when he unclaimed, the people watching decided not to steal, so for that i'm appreciative, would have sucked to have lost the work we put in.
Anyways, that makes it 1/2 for myself, and a huge thanks goes to Roffler(sam) and Ysabell(rdm) for once again spending their free time for my gain.
And a huge thank you also to Conno, who took time out earlier that morning to camp it for me with Ysabell, much appreciated.

Heh, last night in an XP party we were killing robber crabs and goblins and saw a high lvl RDM camping this thing. He was the only one there, but every once and awhile a high lvl THF would run by. Well a couple of hours into the exp party the RDM leaves. About 15 minutes later this guy pops, and he is literally walking around at his own leisure, no one else is in the area. Well the exp party decides to get a little brave so we pull him. We had a NIN tank who stood just out of range of his melee attacks while he shot arrows at him. We also had a rng, brd, blm, whm and me a thf. At first it seemed like he wasn't dying fast enough but eventually his HP started to drop. Supposedly he sued Eagle Eye Shot, but if he did I didn't see it, the NIN must have had a shadow absorb it or something because the rest of the party was worried about it, but got relaxed when our nin sai dhe had already used it. So we finally took him down and the he dropped Goblin armor and a gold beastcoin, but no bow, the rng in our party was a little disappointed, but I got the Gold Beastcoin, the only thing he dropped of any real value.
wELL JUST ABOUT 20 MINUTES AGO AS i WAS SOLO EXPING ON MY 64nin/32WAR this thing pops right near me I had about 300/1000 hp. There was an exp pt there and there was a 75 thf and a pt of 75 brd + 75 nin. So knowing this i wuickly stood up with my 300 hp and voked it than ran him off to a safe spot behind the exp pt. Well it appears even if my HP was full i didnt have any chance (damn ranged attack utsusemi **** is broke, you know what i mean if you are a ninja.) anyway i lasted about 30 seconds than the NIN and BRD got him.... Pretty dissapointing. Can this thing be soloed if i was a higher level ninja? if so when (i was soloing the regular mobs thier without being touched)

***** this guy, and ***** his damn bow. I'm 0/1, and no one helps to come kill it. It pops, and it's insta-claimed, and camped seemingly 24/7.

Popped/died 3 times by my party in 6 1/2 hours, probably lottery spawn~
I was xp'ing in Gustav and 2 RNG were camping Wyvernpoacher, we were having small friendly chat, I had told him the last time Wyvernpoacher had died, cheered him on, etc. A little later on he says when he pops can we alliance and help him out? I told him sure if me and the other RNG in my pt can get a lot on the bow if it drops, he flipped out and got pissed at me saying "Why the hell would I camp it so some RNG who can't even use it get it?" I stayed calm and wasn't gonna get bothered, I simply told him that my group will not help in any way if he feels that way.
An hour after that conversation it popped and they claimed it. They quickly realized they needed help and were not going to win, my party had decided if they died we would fight it and kill it. Eventually one of the 2 RNGs died and they lost the claim, out of no where a 72 BST charms it and starts throwing mobs at it, seeing as how the RNGs weren't in condition to kill and the BST was a jerk anyway stealing their claim, we had no morale problems stealing from the BST.
Eventually BST lost claim while looking for a pet, we claimed it and killed it easily, no O-bow. During the RNG's fight he sent me a tell begging me for help and to alliance and that we could lot, but seeing what a jerk he was before and from the horror stories I've read on these forums where sore losers disolve alliance if they lose the lot so no one gets the bow. It was my groups decision to not help and fight it ourselves. The RNGs were furious with us since we ultimately got the kill even though they should have been mad at the BST who stole it. The RNGs never stood a chance anyway. There was a weak MPK attempt but just a crab and gob that was handled, a GM was called and I reported the situation.

The GM was pretty funny, when we were about done talking he says "Well nothing against you personally but for your sake let's hope we don't have to talk again tonight".

We just took this goblin out with a 56-57 exp party, it was a pretty easy fight overall, the PLD was hit 150~200 everytime but the 2 RNGs (myself and another) blink tanked it most of the time.
Eagle Eye Shot took my last shadow *phew* after that the fight was easy, PLD used Invincible but hate kept on me (never seen Invincible not take hate). Slug shot > Barrage > Slug shot, it died.
0/1 on drop =( both rangers wanted it lol, but oh well, we still killed it ^^

hmm could a 75nin/whatever solo this with 'au laits? lol i want this for rng but dont want to drag some of my ls around waiting for its 2-6? hour spawn.. i've fought it for others and i can hold it claimed until the cavalry arrives since it only uses /ra (yes i know this is against the rules but no one else was camping it or i would not have done so i just didnt want to have to kill the 5+ repops)
crabs don't do anything for this nm o: and no he doesn't havea window full lotto off the the 2 mercs up front has 3 pop points

Just duo'd this today with my friend. 75RDM/BLM (me) and 74WHM/BLM. He was easy enough, I came in missing 200MP and still didn't have to convert. He hit pretty hard but with relic gloves and capped enhancing Phalanx and Stoneskin held well.
RNG is only 53, but I heard he was up and figured I'd get an early start. Already have my Fransisca and Seiryu's Kote ^^

My RNG is halfway to 70 and I'm what you'd call a Poor Richard's RNG. I dislike HNM LSes and I'm not one to kiss ***, so with that said I don't have an endless gil supply which means no Eurytos. I use Warbow+1 and Heavy Crossbow+1 and I need this darn crossbow. I'm going to pick up a Hellfire at 70 but I'm going to be using O-bow for main weapon since I can't afford the absurd price of silver bullets (On Leviathian server 1200 arrows = 48k, 1200 bolts = 40k, 1200 bullets = 350k).
Anyways, I went with my DRK70 friend and we sat there and camped this NM. We both subbed /NIN after learning that /WAR would get us killed. /NIN works fine and to be honest I think we could have taken Wyvernpoacher with watching Utsusemi and his EES. Thing is though we camped forever, a good 7 or so hours. The place was completely cleared of mobs. No crabs and no gobs. He never once popped. I was told this NM was like the Onzozo goblin NM with similar drop rate and spawn time, what a load. Now I'm reading worse drop rate and a pop time almost as bad as the Eastern Shadow himself, except this bow is rare/ex with no obscene 12 million price tag. (Our AH is majorly messed up, average prices except on the big name items then its inflation that could make you cry...) I'm about ready to chalk this up to yet another item my RNG will be unable to have, only thing is SE sort of screwed RNG for JSE unless its yet to come, and we've got no true weapons to use post 50 (bow) or 60 (crossbow) in terms of what we've been looking at with every last 10 levels. No post-war bow+1 just that shigeto bow for SAMs or the lesser Gendawa. /sigh /rant off

I was exping RNG in Gustav, I was level 57-58. A 66 Galka RNG named Blood comes up asking for help. I convinced my party to help him telling them that I needed the bow as well. So they agreed to help him and told him explicitly - "we well help you as long as Wiget gets a lot on the bow also." He agreed so we made an alliance, we kill it, and the bow drops.
I beat Blood on the lot...he got all pissed off and offered to pay me for me to pass. I know how hard this bow is to get...and I said no...I beat you fair and square. So he dissolves the alliance and the bow is lost...then he proceeds to tell me that a "noob" like me doesn't deserve the bow. Tell that to me and my 71 BLM, ***.

Yep...I'm joining the ranks of the people of this forum...
I got there last night...the other party camping it say they had been there for 3 hours and it will pop soon. I had a NIN and a BLM with me...no pop. 2 hours later a MNK and a RNG come help. 2 more hours...still no pop. We all leave except for a BLM...who just told me he was there for another hour...meaning he didn't pop for 8 hours.
There's no way we could have missed him pop, and we didn't really have to kill any of the placeholders...the other party was aggroing everything in the area. After the other campers gave up...we killed everything in the area for a few hours. Yep...I love this guy.
